Yeah, that's it and if i recall correctly, you could get there just after getting out of the town of Podunk cause there's no physical barrier to prevent you from getting any further, only the monsters, they're impossible to beat without leveling up or all the luck in the world (or savestates).

Also, you need to be at least at level 25 in order to beat the game, I came up with an idea that may be useful if it is actually possible to pull off, besides the open menu before battle glitch, you could improve A LOT the game time if you could ****SPOILER**** Get the female robot partner that you get near 75% of the game as early as possible, maybe just after finishing the first town, this would made the game way easier as the robot is the toughest partner you can have and can kill almost anything in a couple of hits, as far as I can remember (finished the game long ago) this could be done and be easy using savestates and the anti-battles glitch but very difficult in the real system. What do you think??

Well, then it's not a good rom but an overdump. Anyway, the movie looks good even if the game was nominated as the worst nes game ever at Seanbaby's site XD.

I have recorded a movie of this game, it's a pretty long Zelda style action rpg, the point of the game is getting animals that give you the ability of running, make your sword bounce on the walls and more, at first the movie is a bit boring cause the character hasn't got any capabilities but when leveling up it gets cooler. The time was 59'44''. Here's the link: http://usuarios.lycos.es/amstradpics/crusader.zip (as always, right click---->Save link to disk or copy and paste in your browser)

One possible way to speed it up is to switch to one of the single weapons for a short moment so you can shoot when objects are out of your normal range. Assuming that switching weapons can be done fast enough, of course. I haven't tested.
I did this once in the whole movie XD, is almost unnoticeable, during the first fight with Green, also there are not many enemies that need to be killed in order to advance.I'm glad you liked it, it took me a hell load of time to finish. I'm just curious, which things didn't you know about the game?, I bought it at it's release and have played it like mad since then.

Couldn't you just do "bomb jumps" instead of using ice beam or high jump??

I have been waiting for a time attack on this game since I first heard about them and it seems no one is doing it so I did it myself, this is a long side scrolling action game composed of 7 levels, it has a wide variety of weapons that can be used alone or mixed for better damage-speed, it also has some bare hands attacks and even a combination move just like the special moves of one on one fighting games, there's also a space shooting level where you control a ship, i finished it in 33:04, there's little room for improvements unless you play with 2 players or controlling both characters at the same time (a bit difficult for this game). Here's a link to the movie: http://usuarios.lycos.es/amstradpics/gunstar.zip (Right click --> save as or copy the url and paste it in your browser) It was made using v8 of the modified Gens by Jyzero and uses the rom that has the same name as the movie. If anyone has suggestions on how to improve the movie i'll gladly try them.

Will you play in Expert mode?? you have to do the classic Konami code to get it, also i think that playing with Morris could be faster than with Lecarde for most places.

I tried Camtasia and recorded a video with a resolution of 256x224, 60 fps and the results were good, it didn't capture all frames but the sound didn't go out of synch.

Here's a movie of this game finished as fast as I could do it, the game is a side view beat'em up where you fight monsters with the help of a cursed mask in order to save your girl, besides this, the game will remind you to some megaman games XD. The play time is 16:02 and the rom used is the one that has the same name as the movie. http://usuarios.lycos.es/amstradpics/Splatter%20House%202%20%28U%29%20%5Bc%5D%5B%21%5D.zip Copy it and paste in your browser

If you implement a slowdown function like the one in virtuanes and the throttle on-off button can be assigned to the pad it can save loads of time during for example unskippable intros.

They are totally different games, actually the Namco game is a totally shameless Alex Kidd in Miracle World rip off XD, they share loads of things in common. Edited, you can give a look to the game here: http://gilgalad.panicus.org/sw.html
