KI Gold speedruns have 2 categories on speedrun.com , one that is very fast with cheats for faster speed and removing blocking as well (i really dislike the fact they remove blocking), and one which is cheatless in the fastest speed possible for cheatless( which would be the second best speed, behind only the cheated speed).
What would be acceptable in tasvideos?
Cheatless and cheatfull?
Cheat for speed only and not use the other cheats to make the game easier? There's a faster speed without cheat codes but it's not the fastest.
you need to use button codes to access these other options and it's a billion of them

playing badly ends the game with yamazaki fight and a different ending in which the character feels a strange presence, effectively ending the game at 8:20 at the video i posted as a reference, it's 2 fights less

the category for this seems weird, there's no category for character i believe, it should just be best ending at most :P game could end at yamazaki fight if i played badly

hi i'm formally asking for help if somebody is good with reverse engineering games...
we found that glitch characters ID is caused by ultra combo hit counter at the end of the fight in tournament glitch, the character ID 37 is glitched fulgore which can use a finisher mid match to end the fight sooner, but we need to know how to do the special move which apparently is not the same as regular fulgore, if somebody can help understanding special move tables for glitched characters i would like that help

Now that Bizhawk is a much better arcade emulator i have considered trying SNK GAMES and already TASed fatal fury 3 as my first submitted TAS, i'm considering TASing other games though like KOF SERIES:
KOF2000 has a very speedy Vanessa TAS strats, do you guys have characters or better strikers suggestions? I think this Vanessa strat can be more optimized or switched for Chin Gentsai maybe:

ive spent some time today talking with a member of the KI community
some interesting facts about KI on SNES:
player 2 gets more damage in the arcade ladder after fight4
it's believed it was a faulty logic of the programmers to think p2 is always cpu when in fact the p2 can play arcade mode solo
we also know there's more defense for the losing player in a match
and there's a tournament glitch that can be brought to arcade mode
it takes time to setup
but it can instakill enemies allowing to use the finisher move at the start of the battle
really bizarre
the game freezes a lot after this glitch
so i can't say it's viable at all lol
sometimes it doesn't freeze after 1 match though
Link to video
i'm not a finder of anything, i just asked questions and received informations
game also has a speedup cheat that changes combos to have even more damage but seems to cause problem with motions, the KI community bans the use of this cheat, in TASVIDEOS maybe it could be a separate category

I watched before the submission and know nothing about the game, but enjoyed the whole thing somehow, either the game is frantic enough for people who never watched it or TAS made a good job of keeping the pace all the time.

I managed to complete Radical city collection, now we just need to beat tails doll, complete ruins, beat eggrobo, and finish radiant emerald with super sonic
https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638510746551666786
Regal ruins should be just as bad as radical city, but for now i'll focus on beating tails doll.

My concern is labeling what is not the fastest version of a run as the fastest version of a run, so i'll only comment the specific case if I see something that is confusing in the labeling. Besides that, I tried all i could and let's move on with this change as you guys wish. I wish you all a great week and let's keep TASing all over the place.

This weekend i managed to improve City stage for Any% and I also started a TAS for 100% which seems to much easier to beat the RTA times,
ANY% WIP:
https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638505530247434245
Ruins also TASed but isn't fast enough and will have to be redone
100% WIP:
https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638505713518392331
I'll check if i can improve the metal knuckles ending before continuing with Retire trick.
I plan on encoding later eventually. I can't believe I'm having progress in this honestly, I never thought I'd have enough TASing skill to actually produce something good for such a highly competitive game.
100% old wip:

According to GameFAQs the PAL version of Soul Calibur 2 has lets you glitch the PAL 60 option for super fast gameplay. I can't find any footage for this, but if true and Dolphin can accurately replicate it, it should be some fun TASing. Also Charade (who randomly uses a different character's moveset every fight) exists. While he needs to be unlocked, he would be prime choice for a playaround TAS.

nice TAS! i recommend playing chopper attack if you haven't, that would a make for a great TAS as some of the missions are really short if you just focus on the goal, it was really nice going suicidal in some of them

I'm not being agressive about anything, I just expressed a feeling, I'm not writing any curse word, i'm not saying the people who do this or think that are evil, it's not an insult to believe someone is not interested or dislike opinions. I understand you don't want to discuss this anymore because you already voted.
I also apologized twice to spike, which obviously she is not obliged to accept, but that has nothing to do with the subject so carry on (or not) if you guys think there anything else to contribute (or not).
Honestly, I don't feel comfortable commenting anything nowadays on the site.

I did a little searching into the profiles and I noticed something very clear from the start. The only who are being affected by this rule in this voting were the specific people that voted against the ruling that was passed. Only me and Spike, i looked over all your TASing movies and got this result:
Me and Spike are the only fighting games TASers for speed. The only people that voted against.
Feos, Samsara, Coolhandmike do not TAS fighting games, but TASed beat'em'ups.
Slamo, Fortran, DrD2k9, DigitalDuck, Tompa, Chanoyu, oceanbagel don't TAS any of these, they also do not TAS racing games either. Nobody in this voting TASes racing games,
Mario Kart Double Dash and Wii fans, and the FZero X and GX fans would be affected as well. Of course nobody here TASes either games as well.
So basically this is the equivalent of inviting 12 politically not interested people and 2 politically interested people to vote for laws that only affect those 2 interested people.
I could give a more specific example with politically charged issues but I don't want to derail this. I just wanted to vent out how bad i feel about being a major contributor, along Spike obviously, and having my vote crushed by the uninterested party.
player TAS fighter? TAS beatemup? vote

not sure but the more i think about it, the time it could gain would be negligible unless you have some very absurd pokemon, like amazing speed and movesets, it should go a lot similar when compared to the current strats for the gym leader castle

where do i change languages for snk games in arcade bizhawk? i completed a TAS for fatal fury 3 in which the ending doesn't play if you're playing in english, I tested the date theory (over 2k years is not the cause of the glitch) but that didn't work out at all.
to be clearer the game is completed normally, but the ending can't be seen unless i play in japanese:
https://rq87.flyingomelette.com/RQ/NG/FF3e/1.html
i think it should be a setting but it's not there somehow
