i like the innovation, i'm kinda turning away from speedrunning because there are very few novelties for someone that has seen many tricks in years of lurking speedrun forums, i can't really tell how long i'll keep my interest in this hobby

Gameplay Differences Bomberman runs a lot faster in the US version. By the way, could you do the normal adventure mode?

sky 3 was obviously faster without extra switches cause donald wasnt separate enough from mickey to justify making donald faster, i tested it anyway but didn't save cause it was at least 200 frames slower, i didn't find any improvements to the boss cause i'm not in control of how far he throws the projectiles, If he always did close double shots, i'd be able to reflect earlier and then try to cast a spell on the second one. Think megaman X TAS history if you want to have a comparison on how it can be improved. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/50952095785941658 the second boss seems a little sneaky, i'm not finding ways to get him to do something else after the first hit and i can't just take that invencible jump of his at all. 25 to 57 smallest jump 13frames to peak 9frames to shoot 19 frames to shoot at face level jump at 20 shoot forty version 2 has some progress, only 3 more hits to kill the first boss, it's hard to aim the shots with donald so it will take me a while to see, soon we'll have a comparison between the 2 strats. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/50936052440816835 i'll improve the second strategy more before going further, sky3 done, now i have to find a way to manipulate the second boss

this is the any% technically, they could do a "no game end glitch" category too, i guess. I wonder if there's interest in that though.

It's simply not a mandatory area, i believe i made all the routing with mandatory sections, i've even skipped digglet tunnel. It really is completely out of the way. Also this does not include after the game, where you could probably use masterball for a decent easy mewtwo. But i have no opinion about clefable or squirtle line or somebody else, i think clefable would still be the best, as we wouldn't really spend time doing any additional grinding. I inserted pidgey and rattata because they weren't there and the RNG doesnt allow for skipping infinite number of encounters, therefore we need some encounters before we get repels

I managed to remove Trades and it's all catching and evolving so far, i haven't calculated the usage of rare candies and the time spent to get them https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LXCy3nQs-gR3svajcD6T-S5PmhP3CFzHz6KRTfkHDgk/edit?usp=sharing i didn't include the evolution of the main battler se we can remove something somewhere, there's a slight surplus so far and i'd like opinions before including or removing I'm thinking about doing some LOTAD run about it.

i'm extremely surprised but i found a glitch reminiscent of other people's discoveries, if you mash A with autofire in airman in EXE2, you can bypass the clouds that push you backwards, it saves a lot of time not having to work your way around them i was actually interested in testing if you can slow down the clouds with mashing A like alpha comps in BN3, i also read you can slow down ghosts in BN2 castle dungeon, the one with protoman and knightman EDIT: tested the vampires and ghosts, they slow down a lot no changes in magnets or quickman explosions, i also tested the mayl HP out of bounds exclusive to EXE2, i didn't get any crash but eventually i stopped having encounters for a long period of time, literally minutes,it may be some kind of invisible boundary and one of the stroll got me warped to the net as the mayl HP warp normally does, just go OOBs, line up with the warp from the upright position and go in that direction

ok, DwangoAC, you're clearly the exception here and i also know that you know it, i've acquired some of the games i've emulated but it ends there, no dumping and clearly i've gone far beyond what was bought.

what we do here is piracy, i'm not entirely sure how you guys wrap your heads around it, but it is, the basic sources of our work are all piracy and there's no way anyone can say it isn't, nobody here dumped a cartridge they bought or anything like that

yeah i couldn't get arm chip without the arm upgrade, so there must be some kind of glitch involving password or something else, because i had other armor upgrades, maybe there's a specific version of the game that it works?

well, after mailing, there was a verifying process, but they had a less people to spot stuff, as they kept the runs hidden before the actual publishing, and that's one of the reasons why the site had some pretty famous cheated runs like TSA's zelda runs. We also evolved knowledge about the games, so it's not just the process, but the popularity of games, the knowledge built upon the years and the streaming technology that made watching runs easy and acessible

speed demos archive used to be the site that tried to do what you suggest, pwn3r, but nobody goes to that site anymore because watching runs is what makes cheating gets discovered and that site is a 2000s site in terms of coding and rules, speedrun.com already has lots of mods and known players to check the runs in games that matter, and since speedrunning is and probably will always be niche, no use in going any further than SRC does

this is suitable as any% or an extra category which the game deserves, since it's how it's supposed to be played(with extra CDs).
