if the game is similar to predecessors, then you can look for information about these things in the older game too

pretty sure we already have TASes of this game http://tasvideos.org/5008S.html http://tasvideos.org/5040S.html would be nice to see the other episodes TASed,but there's no need to create another thread. On the DOS section ,you can find this thread and learn how to emulate/tas this game correctly: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14134&start=25

total control TAS,ram watching, scrpiting ,all the tech i don`t know because i don`t know programming really makes me feel like i`m no TASer at all.My TASing will never be as optimal and i now think about the games to TAS in terms of "do i know what it's needed to optimize this" i also understand that TASing may not be an achievement of the sucessful normal person, but i believe all that it's done with care and attention is valuable, even if it's a useless task like a cupstacking WR or TASing. Mastery is a value in itself, because it's made of attention and dedication to the subject.Attention and dedication are things we need in life but lack in different areas. @yogwog,i don't like your specific TAS but i hope you take pride in your work,it's very well planned

Now that I look at it, roulette is probably faster. I've played black jack (non-tas) so much I always ignore the other games.
NEVER submit without studying the game a lot and showing people your work first,to make sure it's actually optimized.

are there tricks enough to do a legit complete pokedéx with one game only? One of the tricks used to get coin case ACE doesn't register the pokémon but i remember the bad egg corruption did make it possible(beat up sneasels trick) so i can only imagine these being possible with gold or silver. What are the limitations? (i'm asking both for a speedrun or playthrough,i remember beatin blue using ditto tricks and trainer fly for pokémon who were unacessible)

That's how you make a product successful: By killing the fanbase.
the thing is: nerdy male 20s and 30s are not exactly their targeted demographic, even if somehow the company ended up having an unexpected success with them. They do everything in their powers to not tarnish the product with the neckbearded basement dwellers for the sake of the intended customers. After all, these other fans have a lot other interests they wouldn't want to mix with their product's brand. (pony fighting games and pony porn are the things i know the company fights against)

Link to video This is a testrun of the 1st level I did myself. As you can probably tell, It's much more optimized than yours, and it looks more tool-assisted than yours as well. I hope this doesn't discourage you, but I did this as a guide so you can improve it yourself, try finding as much improvements as you can, because I know for a fact that theres a bunch of timesavers here. Hopefully you'll do a good job at finishing this and making a publish-worthy movie! :P

First, 2p didn't account for yoku platforms. Then, the real-time record by JC and TMR shows the glitch where 1 player endlessly carries the other (same with Intruder). Those all need testing. I don't see any point in comparing something that's not even close to finished. Leaving him dead though defeats the 2p goal.
call it any% if it's faster and remove the branch completely?
