Oh; you can skip the fight against Tails and Emerl in the lab by pausing+quitting out. You can do that with a number of fights throughout the game that you're not required to win. I believe that's the only one in Sonics story, but I know there's at least one against Rouge in Tails's story as well as some of the fights under conditions in Rouges story. I'll try to recall/find the full list of such battles. Sorry; I didn't have chance to watch the previous input file to catch it sooner. It's a shame too, as you made it a cool looking fight.
can you be more specific, which fight at the video?

camera spin is the effect of mashing guard as i couldn't attack anyways, i tried manipulating the drop but going faster or slower didn't affect it at all, it's probably set somewhere a lot earlier the rng

sonic best special moves are the ground ring and the aerial projectile, but thanks to the autoguard system it's not always available to use against enemies, so you need to switch up strategies against rouge it's better to just combo into air special move( bomb or projectile) at the start, but afterwards you can use ring or air projectile the last fight the enemy finally started using specials so i spammed a move it would defend to get gauge and used the sonic version of the gauge glitch, air projectile next to the floor is canceled before the fireball comes out and the gauge is depleted, it's the same as the emerl in practice, a jump costs 48 frames frmo start to landing, so you can use that to time the falling of the enemy https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638289649394051877 Link to video most relevant strategy at 5:22

do you know anything about the emerl cards spawn? when it's decided and stuff what i learned from my wip is killing with a bounce delays the spawn because the corpse only despawns when at the floor, which is a huge shame... i can only bounce combos at the end of the match IF positioning is fine

I don't believe it is strictly speaking a Speedrun, but it does sure as heck fit the 'superplay' definition of TAS for me, and something I've been hoping for since I first saw the co-op feature in the game. Pretty chaotic. A 4 player all star coins wip to the end of world one by GregLvk. Link to video
is it not possible to get all the big 3 coins as well? it would feel incomplete not to get all stages unlocked to keep getting more coins, but it does look pretty cool.

As a TASer you would need to do your best judgment on how to break a game the least, and if unsure ask judges as well. Ideally talk to the existing community for that game too. Again, the global policies, and game specific rules, are meant to make sense.
1. I did ask about what counted as a glitch above. Your reply sounded rather hostile when I asked. I do have legit interests in remaking my old TASes, yet when I did ask I get sarcastic replies like
Being frustrated at people who dare discuss things doesn't sound very promising.
Ultimately, what's the worst case scenario if we're wrong? A run gets published? Heavens, me! Think of the children!!!
Almost all the games I'm interested have literally 0 communities. If I can't even ask a judge here, the only thing I can do is resync my old runs, remove the glitches, then submit and pray for the best. The frustration has nothing to do with the rules. It is my personal feeling that I suspect when making this rule, most obscure games with minor bugs were not in your mind. I could be completely wrong, and you were indeed also thinking of obsure edge cases when making this rule. In that case, sorry. Here's some concrete examples of games I am interested in: 1. Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Montana's Movie Madness (there's a single clipping bug used in 1 room, but old VBA so that needs resync) 2. Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon R (a single clipping bug in stage 2) 3. Nanashi no Geemu (A single npc bypass in stage 3, but it is in desmume, so bleg) 4. Sabre Wulf (a single npc despawn bug iirc) 5. Jenga world tour (a single stage where the blocks spontanously all fell, but it got rejected for being a board game) 6. Yuu Yuu Hakusho: Makai no Tobira (I'm not sure if the current route of making the bosses in place counts as bug, but if so then just change the fights I guess so they actually move around) I am mainly concerned for 5 and 6. If you can, please answer do those count as bugs.
yeah sounds really cheap you coul post a run while changing a very small fraction of the game, which isn't signfiicantly different for the rest of the run when compared to the original slightly glitched run

i would only allow it if it's significantly different from glitched gameplay, in which most cases it exist, it is.

So it's not that it saves time, but it's really difficult to avoid. Am I getting that right?
It probably could be avoided without losing significant time, just would take some planning and a little luck in terms of not having breakers to ruin the rest of the match. It would save a few seconds but nothing too major.

I have a question about the Jade fight. When you go through the transition from a higher to lower floor, a cutscene plays. I would think you could use the time the cutscene takes to beat her up more. Is there a reason doing the transition is faster?
In my old TAS i didnt find a solution for this problem of stages with transition at first. Then i realized stage transitions are avoided by not being at the center of the stage, you cant transition if you juggle the enemy at some proximity to the wall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQq-dC5Ytvs&t=262s&ab_channel=KusogeMan example of doing it right in : https://youtu.be/VQq-dC5Ytvs?t=269 example of doing it wrong in: https://youtu.be/VQq-dC5Ytvs?t=112 I should have positioned the enemy back again against the corner so the juggle wouldn't start the floor transition. I also believe it would be better if Arcade mode TAS would be done with a savefile, so we could have better stage selection and then maybe use ashrah or Liu Kang, as done in my TAS or SJ's Ashrah TAS: Link to video
