Hmm.. Tekken 5 only goes to start up screen and then bugs out. I can get into Path of Neo but the graphics are messed up. Maybe an iso would be faster/better.

Someone at SDA is doing this game so hopefully he can get it done relatively soon so it can be used as a reference. Done stage 1, total time is a bit less than 19 minutes after the cutscene. Don't know if that is bad or good. Only 120 rerecords however since i still have no clue what i am doing. :P The battle with Procyon was pretty cool when we both jumped back at the same time. Here is the .m64 http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=0B114F316E6D04F9 Question: How come the overall frame count is 67877 while the input is only 33300? The 3 other n64 games i've watched all had the frame counts much more even.

does anyone know why my avi failed? I choosed xvid codec and the file was 3 gig, and it refused to start because of a bad header.
File is pretty big, maybe encoded improperly?

I won't list any that have been mentioned before, might be forgetting some Body Harvest Buck Bumble (just because of the weirdness) Extreme G XG2 (don't know if it works) Mission Impossible (the run at SDA is pretty funny) Shadowman Star Wars: SotE (once you get the graphics plugin set correctly this game could be torn up) TWINE Winback <-- that would kick ass.

Thanks that is good to know, hopefully i can find a controller to use though. In battle, the speed and distance you step is determined by how far you move the analog stick over so i won't be able to do any slow back stepping unless i change the range EVERY time i want to do it... Found out that enemy techniques are predetermined from the point where they decide to grapple or maybe even before that, which is bad when trying to learn something. Done 1-1, avi for anyone who wants to see it. http://rapidshare.de/files/28450010/h2.avi.html

Yeah a keyboard, i tried using the mouse but not sure how to make it keep the joystiq pressed in one direction. It only moves a bit according to where i move the mouse. Both are wireless too so sometimes response isn't so great when pressing multiple keys at once.

I'm just gonna run through it now just because so much is unknown about this game, espcially the enemies and the battle system. Where to camp enemies is another thing because i don't think i'll be able to survive with 1 in every defensive stat :P. What moves to learn/use is another thing, headbutt is a priority. It's been a while since i have played this so i still need to relearn where to go.. I sense a problem beating some of the enemies though. If there is no way to avoid damage on some of them and i didn't get any or enough healing items, could be trouble. Ones in question: Muhlifain, the overworld super Muhlafain, Mi'Goea the big version at the end, maybe the men in black at the beginning (could be wrong on the names) could be impossible to beat without taking damage. Gacrux (the turlte monster) is something i would need to get a ring eraser for. Kevin Young would be difficult to avoid since he can move twice before attacking as long with a few others. There really needs to be a detailed guide.

Use the pause key to get out of frame advance, default is E.

Ok, i got up to the first battle in the game and figured a few things out. 1. It is very hard to move correctly with a keyboard and without a joystiq. 2. Damage is pretty much calculated by where you are standing and the power you have. After the exact same input, damage to the first enemy with the first kick was either 40 or 41 so i really don't get it... didnt test enough to get a critical hit. 3. I still suck. Anyway, here is a .m64 of what i did even if it is bad. :) http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=51785DC67B90C643

This is not a fairly known game out there for the N64 but i think people could still enjoy seeing it done. The thing is, i have no idea how long it would take. 4 hours? Anyone up for it? I started doing it (as in i'm in level 1-1, still trying to learn how to move and record. Also not sure how to manipulate enemies and put them down as fast as possible, might need to know their hp values to make it faster.

Yes, it is incredibly long and tedious really, such a shame. I started doing it, didn't even get to the first scenario and then i realized this it isn't going to work (21000 frames of skipping text and using menus!). It's just too luck dependent and long to do. I guess only famous rpgs will ever have a chance of getting done.

A couple of people have put up a request for this game to be done. I, for one enjoyed it a lot and would sure like to do it but don't think it is a wise idea. The game would take a very long time to complete even if tool assisted. Another factor is it would get pretty redundant with all the text skipping and the battle animation would have to get turned off for the fastest time possible. That alone would make the battles dull, boring etc. Is it even worth thinking up strategies for this game and attempting a run? I'm still a noob to this stuff so still learning the basics.
