So exactly what doesn't work? Programmer? Got any .m64 that i can watch so i see the problem myself? And it would be a shame if you'd give up Perfect Dark becouse it would be so awesome TAS'ed. If everything else fails i'd even suggest the no-glitch strat. Oh and could someone please tell me how to save a save state so that i don't have to watch through the my entire .m64 every time i continue recording? It's getting annoying.
That was the problem, he either saw me somehow or his timing toward the elevator changed so he couldn't make it in time. I really have no idea when to start the level at the precise spot. And that's some pretty good patience if you haven't been loading savestates all this time.

The story mode maps are nothing but walking around, which by the end of all the levels would get really tedious. If you could make that interesting enough then do it. The minigames can be all done in one go i guess.

1) what determines the starting location of the stars on the map and the order in which they appear? Frame number? 2) use all minigames or only the easy ones? That would get boring if they were repeated or simple. 3) which minigames would be fastest to complete? Don't know. 4) Is it faster to buy stars or steal them using Boo/chance time? I don't think the regular game is possible to do speedwise since it's a set turn limit, just the mini-games would be good. 5) which partner would be most useful during the duels? Don't know. 6) Is it beneficial to move 10 steps every turn? Depends where you are. 7) can you manipulate the items Toad/baby Bowser give you after you answer their question? Of course. 8) Would buying the magic lamp, getting 20 coins and then using the lamp be any faster than just getting 20 coins and reaching the star? Depends on the situation. 9) Where are the locations of the spots where, if you land on them, they give you an item, and can you manipulate them to give you a star every time? Does it matter? 10) Does the emulation encounter frequent desynchs? Desyncs aren't predictable.

Wii has sold more than 1.1 million units, at a much higher rate than xbox360 and ps3 (obviously). http://nexgenwars.com/

There is only one U version, and the rom should be exactly 33,554,432 bytes.

Nice job completing that so fast, it's strange the file is so big, there's no blank area in it.

Might as well post some more stuff. EA is really getting behind the system.. now that they have seen the launch and Madden NFL 07 sales. They bought out a company to develop exclusive Wii games and they themselves will be making a lot. Crossbeam Studios Entertainment is a game company that is exclusively making Wii titles. http://www.crossbeamstudios.com/ They are new but seeing their interaction with the community makes them awesome. They also seem to have some pretty cool games being developed. Especially Darkness (now known as Nightmare to avoid confusion) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darkness_%28video_game%29 Another new company Nibris, making games for Wii and DS. http://www.nibris.net/ Here is their HOPEFULLY REALLY SCARY GAME Sadness http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadness_%28video_game%29

Yea, what's up with the price of the console in places other than US/Canada/Japan/Hong Kong? It's like almost 100 USD more everywhere else which is almost the xbox360 bad version price. Here's another fun fact for nintendo fans. PS3 games are multilingual and region 0 blu-ray. :( They did that intentionally because blu-ray has regions normally (they also needed to to keep production costs down and promote the format). I know HDDVD is not as good but that makes me root for it because it has no regions and sony hasnt touched it.

Wii Operations Manual, p. 32 "Check that the Game Disc will work on your version of the Wii. This system will only work with Game Discs made for use in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Latin America." The woman from NOA didn't know what she was talking about. Some other nintendo denied what was said.

..they are! A simple language change could not make the system say the disc is unreadable. That means the first sector on the disc likely holds code to prevent the Wii from reading the data. The security must be different when processing the dvd for each region.. nothing in the actual data part of the dvd could stop the Wii from recognizing it. No game (as of now) has removed this feature yet. http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-17-71-bn-74-19i-49-en.html BoltR: yea, it does come with an emulator, but if they keep having it do that, some hardcore n64 game downloaders will run out of space and be forced to get a sd card or have to redownload stuff

The games do have regions (NTSC..PAL), but the games aren't the device that restricts playback, the Wii itself is. The Wii won't play a different type of region (NOT talking standard dvd regions, just ntsc, ntsc-j and pal!) If the games didn't have regions, NTSC-J Twilight Princess would only have the language altered and would work on NA Wii but it doesn't. The only technical difference between NTSC-US and NTSC-J is a slight change in brightness. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTSC-J

the Wii console supports region locking technology. But it's up to each publisher/developer to decide if their game will be locked or not. Last i heard, all games made by nintendo are going to be region free.
All games are region locked, but i'm sure there will be a software hack to change that, just like what happened to the gamecube. Something interesting, Mario 64 on Wii is 20.1056976 megabytes large. And of course, the rom is exactly 8 megabytes.. wonder what's up with that.

Also, using one controller is simply easier for viewers, so that they don't have to noodle around with settings to get it to work. Basically, it requires everyone to both have N-Rage plugin AND an external controller just to watch, I think it'd be so much easier if second controller was removed, especially since I showed how with one controller you can get the same effect.
It doesn't, i just mentioned the gamepad in case you were setting the 2nd controller to use it too, which looks like it doesn't work after all. The tas plugin can use 2 controllers too..

It really shouldn't, since you can use the same controller to navigate to select Fox, very hard, then stock, and you have 10+ frames to wait and press start with the same controller. Do use the keyboard or an external controller? and while I respect that you prefer it, it makes it difficult for myself and others to view it because you need both controllers present, which I can;t seem to initiate in the input settings.
Are you setting it to active? It may not work if it is set to the same gamepad too. And it doesn't matter what input plugin you use, try n-rage's to enable second controller.

Jabo won't work, you should use Rice video 6.1.1 and under settings, click on current game options. Under Frame Update at, choose after 1st CI change, this should fix most if not all flickering in games.
