I discovered a very well optimized Landstalker TAS made by a japanese player and posted on Nico Nico Douga :

The game is broken and completed in 1:18, 1 hour faster than the first attempt here !
some of the few tricks I noticed :
- in dungeons he can pass through doors by being hit by ennemies.
- thanks to that, keys can be saved for later (especially for other dungeons!)
- after dying in front of one of those special trees (which can only be cut with the "axe magic") he can go through it ! He used once the Death Statue to poison himself because there were no enemies around.
Thus the crypt, Mir's Tower and some other places are skipped.
I'd like to see this run on tasvideo.org. I think it can be improved a little more : in the first video at 11'42 he forgot to jump from the platform instead of using the stairs.
