I fart in your general direction! Now to post something relevant: Yay for dolphin and the very knowledgeable people working on it. Words cannot express how much I want to see a Twilight Princess TAS. 3:56 on SDA is AMAZING, Jiano is inhuman. But just imagine the possibilities with frame-perfect precision...*drools on keyboard*

Hi I'm sorta in a limbo state between TASing and regular game play. Before going full fledged frame-advance, I'm basically only using save-states and turbo. I'm practicing some Ocarina of Time tricks, particularly the ones used in the Japanese version run (where no dungeons are completed except Ganon's Castle). It's for pure recreation, I have no plans to do a TAS, just learning stuff to impress friends :D. But I'm trying to record a movie, and I don't know much about the reset recording. I know it can be done on Mupen, I watched a run where it was used. But whenever I reset the game (like after Door of Time skip, to get Adult Link back on the other side), the "Stop Movie Recording" option is grayed out, like the movie is no longer recording. Is there some special way to reset the emulation without stopping the movie?

Hi I was just wondering exactly how does the fishing rod steal method that is used in this movie works. I've been trying to replicate it and I can't get it to work. I can make link kinda jump up a little bit like in the movie but every time I use the fishing rod, it still won't let me move. I'm using (U) 1.0, so it should work, right? And also, will this method work on 1.2 (since it works on 1.1)? EDIT: Never mind, I YouTube'd it (don't know why I didn't do that first).

That exact desync happened to me if I first played a movie in PCSX and then played the Tombi-TAS. Doing that caused a desync at that chest (The room where the grapple is being used, I presume).
Yea, that was the room I was talking about. That may have been the problem, because I tried it again later and it worked. Nice run btw

Brave Fencer Musashi Medievil 1 and 2 Digimon World (maybe, seems like it would be really long) Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Spyro (any of the first three, 100% would be nice) Driver 1 and 2 Megaman Legends ...Can't seem to think of anymore right now. EDIT: Oh yea, how about Fear Effect?

I say go for it. I had both games when I was really young, and I don't remember much from either game, except that I didn't beat either one haha. I think they would make for a good TAS.

I never got to play this game as a kid, I played Tomba! 2. Well I just started playing it because the second one was so much fun. I'm at lava caves right now. I decided to watch the any% run, despite having not beat the game yet. Unlucky for me, it desynched at the haunted mansion when he was opening a 1,000 year old chest (he didn't open it, which was why it desynched). Oh well, I will try again later and if it fails again I'll just download the encoded version. And actually I've been thinking about doing a TAS of Tomba! 2, but I've never done a TAS before... But I'm probably going to soon. And if it goes well, I will do a 100% TAS, because I know that game like the back of my hand ;)

Watching it as I post this... Just got to the swamp :) I had some desync issues, mostly in the place that other people were having (right after the owl statue), even with identical plugins. I went to the sites emulator page and downloaded a different version of the emulator and it has worked fine so far *fingers crossed*
