This movie has so many sexual undertones that it's frightening. (Did that plane resemble a huge phallos symbol?) I vote Yes ^^

I think this ought to get published, maybe not under SNES games but rather under the show-off section (or whatever it's called). Why? Because it is still entertaining and fun to watch but maybe it isn't the type of movie that will be challanged. PS. Love the idea of a smallonly-coinless-any%-walkathon-run ^^

I almost fell of my chair as I read that X-D Another interesting thing is, would you recognize if someone else TAS'd the world, and it wasn't you? Take those streetmagicans for example, maybe they're on to something.

I'd abuse programming errors to zip through the floor and roof and walls in Megaman style to simply apear and disapear over and over again. ^.^ I've heard it ought to be possible "by walking into a wall a trillion times you will occasionally miss all the atoms and simply glide through".

If this move doesn't get accepted I'm gonna write 10,000 words on how upset I am. (And I can say that since I'm certain this will be accepted (I hope)).

I remember this debate from years back. :-) I'd keep with FODA here. Try seeing from "the publics eyes" and ask yourself "Would I consider this the end if I hadn't done this run?". If you can answer YES without hesitating at all, well then your on the safe side. But if you'd need some thinking and maybe even en explanation then you might be on thin ice. Maybe you'd ought to persue a different "ending" so the general viewer understand. But then again there is an important exception from this rule, the very geeky runs. Runs such as "-3 level SMB" qualify under this category. Runs that require a certain amount of "nerdiness" (in lack of a better word) to understand and to cherish. Those movies can get away with weird ends that requires some explanation since the general viewer of such movies can be expected so seek out some information regarding the movie in question. That's my "general answer", in short ;-)

I know this game's been up for a TAS for years but no one's wanna sacrifice the time to make it (and I can understand that). Glad we finally got to see one, although I wish I understood the subs :-S Is this one undergoing submission here or did I miss something in funnyhair's post?

I'm not sure if it's worth it. All 100% adds to the game is seeing all secondary areas (except amazon secondary area) and all reploids rescued. On the other hand, 6 out of 8 stages will be partially revisited and you'll see Dynamo SDC'd six times. Plus, there's no interesting route change or anything either: aside from going after some reploids near the ends of the main stages, it'll be virtually identical to the all-stages run, just with 6 stage revisits tacked on in the middle.
You may have a point there. I'm just weak for this game since I've fought with it hours and hours and hours. But I can understand your argument fully ^^

First of all I wanna thank you for the nostalgic feeling I get from watching this. I know I've tried beating this game at least 100 times as a kid and to this day I still doubt any human's actually beaten it on a console. Regarding the run. I'd say this isn't in need of a debate. The runs faster for start, and if anyone's ever played this they'll know how impossible some of those jumps are. Also the strategy's awesome. Publish material.

The only complain I have is about the game in itself (it's not to interesting a game) but other then that it's a Yes vote from me IF you answer the following: The only thing, did you have to enter the Key-level in 4-2 or could it have been avoided? From my perspective it seemed avoidable but I may be mistaken.

Watched this yesterday and it's a definite Yes vote from me. Love the way you handle this insanely hard game. And by the way: I think this game deserves a 100% run.

This was... unexpected. Poor Rockman games gettin' raped like this all the time. Anyway, this was highly enjoyable. I did wonder a bit about two points. The fight against the snowman, you seemed to just do nothing for a short while, as well as when fighting the sandworm. I'm guessing I'm just not informed about these parts, but I'd like for them to be explained in your comments. Great work! Definetly publish-material.

But how cool wouldn't it be too have all 120 levels in one run? I'd watch that as a bedtime-story ;)

Easy as a boiled egg. My favorite is probably Alucard, or maybe it's U-1 (from GitarooMan), or it could be Vibri (from Vibribbon), or maybe Frog or Magus (from Chrono Trigger). Darn... that wasn't so easy after all... but it's probably one of those.

I'd say this game a hell to speedrun. Many things on screen, the dive-function and also the collision-dive that has to be utillised. But I agree that a TAS of this game would be awsome.

I haven't watched the movie yet but from som of the comments, a question arose in my mind: Does he target the enemies before he shoots (with the charged laser)? I recall seing something about getting more Hit+ if you blow up enemies without targeting them. Has this been tested/validated?

A bit interesting is that I've found a few YouTube videos which keeps the TAS info and has it in the Videoinfo page. Example
