Can we superswim into the Isle of Steel for some quick rupees?

I don't think so. There are not many males in the show at all, especially recurring, so they end up being the conflict of that episode. The diamond dogs and Discord might follow this trend you see. Keep watching and see what I mean!

What cancer is that? Let us focus the chemo where it matters. We may be divided But of you all, I beg To remember we're all hoofed At the end of each leg No matter what the issue Come from wherever you please All this fighting gets you nothing But hoof-and-mouth disease Arguing's not the way Hey, come out and play It's a shiny, new day So what do you say? You gotta share You gotta care It's the right thing to do You gotta share You gotta care And there'll always be a way through Both our diets, I should mention Are completely vegetarian We all eat hay and oats Why be at each other's throat? You gotta share You gotta care It's the right thing to do And there'll always be a way Thro-o-o-o-ugh

Only part of that compilation video i did not recognize was the nose picking part, any idea what that's from? Pinky Core is awesome, though. I'll get around to today's episode at some point. Also, cause I feel like adding something to the thread, found this neat remix after a minute's work. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/409176

Just finished the last episode of season 1, enjoyed the season. Good idea, not spent way too much time reading tvtropes in about a month or 2. I got Applejack as well. I'd have been content with her or twilight, so I'm happy. Might watch episode 1 tonight...

I got 16 in about 3 minutes, then stoped there cause I would be guessing afterwards. It seems having battle network knwoledge was not as much of a help as I thought...

Well I'm not going to scroll all the way down on a page I think only contains update-news. Besides there is no information, that you search new contributers and how to crondibute. I don't mean to bitch, I just think it would be a good idea to make it more clear so that the site can grow faster. ^^ I for one have now idelt in the IRC-channel for a few days and have never seen cosmo. Is there any other way I can reach him? PM, email, messanger, smoke signs? :D
You have been on the wrong server? Cosmo has been around and there are pleanty of others that can give you the proper info there. irc.speeddemosarchive.com #zelda When did scrolling down a page become a chore.

That ToG break at the start, thats now the slowest method, and one of the hardest too. The fastest method manages to skip hovering from the roof, and glides from that piller Link climbs on top of. Unreal found it a long while ago, but the video is lost. The are 2 OoB methods I found (no videos of course), but the one where you ledge clip with a dormant Armos off the NE most pillar aginst the North wall could be pretty close time wise? Chart locations are determined when you open the chart. Moblin SS videos. You can do some incredible jumps with this, ones that put LJA to shame, but there arn't any videos showing acrobatic stuff... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpkCiKNByag http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YnwmKsR9cc

Rolling is the fastest way to travel, with the exception of sailing and supersliding. When the Iron boots are equiped, sidehopping is surprisingly fast. When carrying stuff, sidehopping is faster than running, although there are exceptions. Supersliding could possibly have a use outside Ganon's Tower under the sea, although not by much if at all. I don't know of the SS working off anything other than Moblins. When normal sailing, you keep the max speedwithin 45 degrees of the winds direction, from what I have gathered. The speed gradually decreases as you angle and further. This removes the need for most wind changes in the game when used propely. When throwing the Grapple Hook, you can slide to the right at Hookshot Slide speeds while the hook is out. This can be used to get better swinging angles while waiting for the hook to grapple. One use is when you are opening up the door to DRC's (Dragon Roost Cavern) boss key path. Could also be used while collecting Joy Pendants... Right after realeasing the Grapple button, hold right, then hold L as long as you want to slide. Savewarping will be rampant, especially if you can save some time as you sail from quadrant to quadtrant. No use for deathwarping A huge question is Granny's Soup. It take over a minute to collect, but means double attack in the segments its used (bottle tiem glitch) until you take damage, and refilled HP / MP. A tas could really do a lot in the SL (Savage Labrynth), Hyrule Castle, and battle with Ganon... The sailing route, unless small savewarps at sea prove faster and need a different route, is largely all set, for the most part. I still need to finish the triforce collecting part. Collecting some charts before beating WT (Wind temple) could be useful, but the most it could possibly do is save 1 wind change, and other complications would arise, like item switching... That newfangled ET (Earth Temple) Mirror room glitch trick I fould recently may be TAS only, its awefully difficult to do faster than the previous route, if at all possible. The nuber of rupees you can get from behind the skipped statue will deside if its faster I think... The 2 useful 101 rupee tricks ar at A7 and E3, with E3 being fater. Both are at chart locations. Of the 3184 rupees needed, most would come from this trick (101 rupees every 30ish seconds iirc)...

I'm no expert concerning either question, but here is a quick attempt at an intellegent answer.

OK I have a couple of questions to add to this topic Given that finite resources i.e. fossil fuels which are being to used to fuel our energy needs. What would be the most likely alternative in the future?
In the future? 5 years from now? 50? Well fusion (a bathtub of water would supply a person's energy needs) would be the ultimate solution compared to what we do know. And the byproduct is radioactive Helium with a MUCH shorter half life then current fission reactions. The technology is nowhere near the point of usability, so what's the answer until then? Don't forget that food is a very important feul too, and just as our demands for fuel goes up, so will the hungry mouths. That's why I don't see this biofuel stuff as being all that effective, not to mention the hamster wheel part. I don't really know what our alternative will be within the next 15 to 20 years, but I do know there is pleanty more we can do to ration what oil ect we still have. Factories on the other side of our planet manufacture a large number of things, which are sent over entire oceans to reach the desired market. Food is no different, we want to eat our tomatos all year, so they have to be sent all over the world from different areas as the seasons pass...

The internet is increasing with new users every day and people are demanding higher speeds all the time. With people wanting to download large files and watch videos on sites like YouTube, there is a fear that the internet may grind to a halt. What would be the most reasonable way to solve the problem? Before giving your opinion you should note that it takes many years to replace cables, possibly decades, and costs billions of dollars.
Any basic telephone cord that is not allready being used for a call (and even those that are) could be used to carry some of the internet's massive demands, from what I understand. They are allready laid. Basically I mean use all of the cables for all forms of data transfer, do away wiht the traditional phone system (It's really outdated just like the analog broadcasting)... Also there of course is the wireless approach. Let's get some more efficient use of the spectrum. An apartment building would need a large slice of the spectum so tenants could have uninterfering networks. Out in a farming area a much smaller slice would suffice. The same concept could apply to WANs I hear some cities are experimenting with. Are any going? How are they doing? What are the main bottleneck's of the internet? I'd say invest time and money in improving those with newer hardware/technologies. I'm seriously rambling so I'll stop while I can, so much for a superquick response. Thoughts?

A lot of people say Norton is bad. I agree it's not the best, but based on my experiences with it I would not say it's bad at all. During the years I have used it, not a single issue has come up. No Trojan or whatever causing issues or anything of the sort (To my knowledge). The full scans take a while, but I just do them when I'm away, not that it demands much to run. Numerous hack attempts, and to my knowledge none got through. It's a simple program that takes care of all this without my needing to update 5 different programs that focus on one thing... Mind you I've only been paying for the service a little while, but I'll see how much it costs to renew the subscription. I'd suggest anyone looking for Antivirus suggestions not listen to all this, I very well may toss Norton soon, it largely depends on the subscription update fee...

Quite the entertaining run. I learned a lot about speedrunning the adult part of the game. I did not like the deathwarping, seems to negate the concept of playing it all at once. A definate yes, if I can even vote. The celda encode was great looking. Very sharp, and I was really surprised just how similar a lot of it was to WW's style. Oddly enough, I thought the child portion was "more entertaining"...

A possible strategy is using Blue Mage's Night to put everyone to sleep to avoid extraneous (yours and enemies') turns, as well as up your hit rate to 100% (for one attack, since it'll wake them up- you might Stop them to prevent this wakeup, perhaps with Juggler's Ring, then you don't have to spend turns re-sleeping).
I think Gadgeteers and the Chroma gem A Ability are a better way to do that. The weapon to teach it is available really early, if not at the start. Also there are options to cast Haste on your own team as well, or even doom. If the TAS involves really low levels, then even casting Poison on the enemies could be useful. Some downsides are the Gadgeteer's lack of speed and offensive A Abilities, but you could switch to a Black Mage after learning the abilities you want. The unit's Fight power is not that bad, considering it is a Illusionist type unit... With Night you have a lot of luck manipulating to manage, what with making it hit all the enemies but not your own. Also you do not run into a storyline mission that has a Night caster until I think 13, the first Jagd mission (Blue Mage)...

Well I beat the game in about 12:30 a while ago. It really was more to just test out ideas, and no real menu optimization. The middle third battles were optimised some, but even they could have been pushed more... I'm not sure how low level this is, but I averaged level 22 by the end of the game. I was not trying to get low levels, nor was I power leveling much, if I recall correctly. I was however disbanding units that were falling behind level wise and recruiting once the average clan level was that much higher...

I'm not exactly familiar with the Parley A ability, or Paladins in general. While it does sound useful, there are many enemies later on that can't be dealt with Last breath, Rockseal, and similar 1HKO moves, so what could Marche (or a recruited Paladin) do to infict lots of damage? Holy Blade? Fighters, what with Air Render, Far Fist, and Beatdown, are a great human tool for a TAS. Since Fighters and Paladins branch off of the same class tree (Soldier), Marche could jump between the 2 any time. Now a recruited Paladin would have some disadvantages and advantages to a Marche Paladin. Mainly it is disposable, so just recruit a Dragoon or something when it's useless. Downside is it can only change to a basic class and can't change back in a way to warrent doing so... Interesting idea, if anything it could be used until Assasins and Rockseal are avalible since Barong (teaches Parley) is purchasable ffrom the start.

Great work with the TAS project so far (from what I can see). Sidehopping everywhere will greatly change the run, and it's length. I would hope my barrel roll is useable, but it looks like switching to and from Goron Mask takes too long...

I know this was a page or 2 ago, but i just noticed it. Someone quoted me as saying something to the effect of "Warp in the SDA hate thread at TASvideos continues to entertain me." in the SDA IRC. The Warp and entertaining parts are spot on, or at least were. I stopped reading this thread a while ago (No more entertainment). When I said "SDA hate thread", I was only trying to quickly describe the thread in question. Nothing more. This has all gotten utterly out of hand, I think. Not that it was particularly civil to begin with... EDIT : Why I found it entertaining.

We need either the Koikiri Sword or Deku sticks to pull off the DoT break. We can only use Deku Sticks in the ToT if they are on B. Getting them on B requires the Koikiri Sword...

I have Sonic 1 on my phone. It took a lot of getting used to, but i can play somewhat OK on it. Since I can only have 2 of the down, left, right, and jump buttons ready to hit a at a moment's notice. Also your thumbs hurt after doing the later levels. Cool things are you can continue your game any time and pick from a stage select screen...
