I believe it's fine to request seeding, but usually Bisqwit's autoseed script thing kicks in. This is probably a good time to bring up http://tasvideos.org/Helping.html#UrgentSeedRequests. Specifically, it would be nice if there was a RSS feed or something for it.. Oh and in future, it would be great if you can make your subjects more informative (like, "Okay to request seeds?") so we know what it's about :)

Okay, someone suggested that I map the network path into a disk drive letter. That could work, but if I do that, it will slow down the boot times of this laptop drastically when that network path is not accessible.
Turn off automatic connection on start-up. This seems way too focused on windows when PCSX is at fault. Other emulators I use focus on the working directory when opening. Mostly. I guess you can give a choice in the code. Also, judging from your experiences, I get the impression it isn't ready for prime time in the slightest :)

Hey... someone clicked some photos of my body and photoshop'd that guy's face on! ;(
Through special algorithms, I have confirmed that the guy's face is not his original face. Using a special reconstructive program, I have successfully recovered the original face. Brace yourselves, It's quite shocking. http://bluetoaster.net/tasvideos/jupicorpbisqwit.jpg

Gender? M Age? 19 Play on PC or Console? Both. If Console, which one? I play on all 3 Latest gen consoles. I occasionally play the others. Do you play: [x] Alone? [x] Online? [x] In-home groups? Do you take your gaming “seriously?” (want to beat friends, win tourneys etc.) I like to try and beat friends. I get somewhat annoyed if I don't and they brag, but I don't flip out and throw chairs or anything. Where do you get your information about games? The internets. Favorite games? I hate this question. There are so many games that I feel are excellent games (Portal, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Majora's Mask) but to me they seem to be the popular choice for some people. Instead I'm going to list some games that I think are pretty cool in concept providing they don't get milked for all they're worth. These are in no order, though. 1. Rock Band 2. Team Fortress 2 3. Audiosurf Where do you buy your games? Online, in stores if I'm impatient. Where do you buy your consoles? All but the Wii were purchased in a physical store. Have you ever traded in or purchased a second hand game/console? In my earlier years of gaming, yes. Lately, not so much. Your parents: [x]Support your gaming []Dislike it []Don’t care [x]Not living with parents

However, I feel the Gamecube controller's triggers were so much better. The springs were way too hard on some of the xbox controllers and long periods of gaming made your fingers ache. Also, I'd just like to point out that the PS3 triggers suck ASS. It's so easy to slip off them and they depress at an awkward angle. Have Sony heard of ergonomics? Though I am pleased the X360 controllers are improved when it comes to trigger strength.

all I was trying to say is chaining hits together really doesn't really give me the "tool-assisted feel" Also, another thing definitely missing in this run is taunt cancelling.
do not critize if u don't know what u talking about, try doing a DJC to spike with yoshi non-TAS or repeating any combo seen in the run, the best ssb players would take days to do it even once, also yoshi cannot taunt cancel, and if i choose any characther that could do it u would complain anyway at stages like DK and metal mario. What would give u a tool assisted feel ? not lconnecting hits ? Nothing can give u more of the tool assisted feel besides linking nearly impossible hits and doing frame perfect movements.
Kirkq got toooold.

Fraid not. Try running both movies next to each other and you'll see why. the Japanese version is shorter.

The other meaning of "enter". To go into. You could try making a blank .iso file and opening it as a SegaCD image.

Yes

Is there another way to poke a memory address with a value
If by "poke" you mean "modify" then no. I haven't got around to looking at how to convert the RAM watch values to patch codes, so until theres a solution I think you're stuck. This could have been added to the "work being done" topic.

A radioactive cat with a human hand growing out of it's stomach. I suppose that's one of the better ways for a server to encounter problems.

while I agree with the concept, I disagree with the names of the ranks you've given (though I appreciate they were probably just off the top of your head). For example, someone can have 4-6 movies published and be quite inactive. Also, I can't help but feel that the rank of "Superstar" might go to some people's heads :)

While I fully encourage you to continue practicing, I suggest that unless theres a significant bug in the GBA version that isn't in the SNES version you use the SNES version instead, since that's the currently published version. We rarely publish runs of the same game on different platforms. Also, I also suggest you only submit runs faster than the SNES publication so as to avoid disappointment.

Anyway, it seems jabo 1.6 can do a fine job itself if you go to the advanced tab and put a check next to "copy framebuffer to RDRAM." (Napalm does this at real-time speeds, jabo does it slowly so I'd recommend only turning it on for capturing, not watching.)
Thanks for this information. I spent an hour or so looking for a plugin that had full support but couldn't find one (I managed to get shields looking okay in Rice though, somehow). I didn't have Napalm though, so I'll take a look and use that if this is accepted. Edit: Okay Napalm doesn't work for me. Mupen shrinks to a tiny 20x20 box and won't do anything.

I'm right behind you, hacking at your shins: http://www.filedropper.com/ssb-tas-blaze 35MB, (almost) publish quality if it weren't for MSN and Steam popping up stuff on the bottom right corner. A cookie is rewarded for those people who count how many times they ruined the AVI ;) I will redo the AVI if and when the run is accepted.

Tell me somewhere I can upload the AVI which won't drain my bandwidth to dust and I will.

No. Last time was me with the SMS run. I didn't publish this run. It's an easy mistake to make when publishing though, and Bisqwit is the only one (that I know of) who can fix it unfortunately.
