Since dolphin apparently is being good in terms of desynchs to me, i did this short test on Hard Mode. Manipulation seems to be the same as GBA, i was lucky to get a perfect level up on Ike and a critical on the Ch1 boss without much effort. My settings are: Dual Core and Idle Skipping Disabled and Audio HLE Emulation (never got dolphin run with the other Audio options). About Encoding, i just won't bother myself too much, cause encoding this stuff is really frustrating.

After amaurea made a lua script that shows on-screen a list of RNs and some battle stats, i modified it to do more stuff: Filter Mode: By Pressing "Q" the Battle Data dissapears and it allows you to Turn On the Input Mode. Input Mode: By Pressing "I" it allows you to introduce conditions into the script, so the script will tell wich nunmbers satisfy said conditions, for instance, you want to look for a critical, 75% Hit and 3% Critical. You just need to introduce 75 in frame advance using the number keys in the middle of the keyboard, after you introduce the 2 numbers, a "<" will appear, you can press left and right to change between 6 different operators, so i choosed "<" and later stablish if the number you introduced is to calculate Hit (Hit are calculated different from all other) by pressing H, afterwards i press Enter. Then introduce 03 and choosed "<", afterwards i press Enter and then "O" to deactivate Input Mode, this will go back to Filter Mode, and it will show wich numbers satisfy the stablished conditions, in adittion, it will tell the distance of the 3 nearest numbers that satisfy the conditions between 500 numbers.
Copy/Pasted this straight from my FE7 Submission. Just making this post to let you know the script is finished now and im releasing it to public. Script Video doing a little demonstration and showing the interface: Link to video The Description of the video have some stuff you should check.

Intro stage is done. Demonstration only, so it's pretty sloppy. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/521566769/Mega%20Man%20X6%20Nu%20-%20Dashless.pxm Is it worth it?
I know you know it's sub-optimal but i will tell what stuff can be better so you can work on it later. (2870) I think you can kill that robot by jumping in some distance so then you can climb that section. (4050) You shold've jumped it and get hit from the other side, that would push you to the right instead of the left. (5350) If you delay your jump a bit, you MAY get pushed by the second drill to on top of the platform instead of below it (not sure about this one). (6230) Don't jump toward doors. Bossfight: You should always Ground Slash when the boss is near the ground, otherwise, Air Slash. You could've slashed more faster by cancelling it with a jump. And of course, you need make sure the boss is near the eye so you can slash both of them at the same time when he has 9 HP. (the air slash would reduce it's HP to 8). High Max: Well, you know you have to manipulate him. Is it worth it? I don't know, this type of run would be too long for non-megaman fans. It would be liked by fans IMO, but not for the rest.

Toothache: After you seized the throne, you need to burn 159101 RNs to do the glitch. I think this won't happen in this TAS unless you manage to get into Zephiel's throne.

I use PCSX v0.1.3 and was recording a movie for exhibition. I've experimented with this problem a while ago and when i start recording from a savestate, when i replay it, it starts from power-on. I had no problems until i lost the initial savestate (wich means i can't replay it from the savestate i saved when i started the movie). Anyway i can make it replays from where it should or how to get a lost savestate? EDIT: Im talking about Megaman X6 and here's the Movie File

I noticed something. X6 might actually be doable without dashing. Doing a standard 8-boss run requires Zero, however since there are several places where dashing or double jumping is required. The weirdest, in my own opinion, is the first obstacle of Shield Sheldon's level. There's a spike pit that's barely impassable. What's weirder however is almost all places to get Zero are impossible to get to without dashing. Shield Sheldon requires the dash for that first bed of spikes Commander Yammarks Nightmare Zone requires dashing to get past the pits Rainy Turtaloid requires a dash to get into the nightmare zone after getting hit Blaze Heatnix requires either the blade armour or Zero. If it can be done via walljump, it would require the dash. Metal Shark Prayer requires a dash to get the the area with the nightmare zone, a dash to get it, parts to make the jump, and a weapon to set it all up. Blizzard Wolfang requires a dash to get to the nightmare zone, and Blaze Heatnix's nightmare effect. That leaves Infinity Majinion and Ground Scharvich. I thought it was only Infinity Majinion, but at the top of my head, I can't think of what it would be that requires dashing. Either way, compared to Infinity Majinion, it might as well be impossible. Biggest issue being the boss, since you can't dash, you can't Slash Cancel to victory. This makes X an actual possibility for levels. I'll experiment with this whole idea later, I haven't tested it through the entire game but atleast the first 9 levels should be possible.
This is how you beat a boss as fast as possible without dashing (doesn't apply to all cases). WIP Link to video

To those who missed my stream last night, we advanced a little bit and defeated Boomer Kuwanger. We are going to do now Storm Eagle. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1331549131/Mega%20Man%20X%20%28V1.1%29%20%28U%29.smv

Nice 176 is a lot so far. I have two questions though one may sound stupid, but I'll ask it anyway. Even though its the 100% thread are you doing a 100% run or Any% run? Also who else is involved with the TAS?
This is 100%. And only Fractal and me are involved, we are just too busy with our personal lives these days (this month in special).

Why? Another improvement you found that could save frames in the beginning of the run?

Seriously, why did you rescued Zero? Just for good ending? As for the run itself, horrible movement, horrible luck manipulation, horrible boss fights, and you also didn't used all the tricks whenever it would be usefull to use them. Im voting no. And next time you work on a TAS, post in the forums. Hope this doesn't stop you for making future TASes.

In my opinion, the situation would be exactly the same as some ROMs. There are some games only released in J and there are some translations patches for them, but the judges won't accept a run of a patched ROM. Knowing this, i don't think this game should be treated differently. I fully support this in J instead of an un-official translation patched game, i fucking salute you with a fucking yes vote.

Yes Vote as always. Im kinda dissapointed that SNK just put one final boss as opposed to all games. Anyway, i think you lost some time in the midboss before the final boss, but i guess that was to manipulate 2 2H. Isn't possible for them to drop more stuff? like Grenades?

As the rest im voting No. In the other hand, i would totally support a 100% run of this game. (For those who don't know, 100% = All Courses and All Yoshi Coins)

and thats all?? when you fully complete the game and then will be compared and vote ))))
Remember, we rather quality over quantity. If jlun2's WIP is faster by 55 frames in the by the time he enters the first room, then there could be improvement all over the TAS. Besides, the re-record counter says how much effort you did on making this TAS. So, even if there is no existing TAS of this game on the site, i'd say this should be rejected since it doesn't have the "quality".

That's right, X did all this crap in less than 20 minutes and he only gets the same rank as Zero who didn't even do anything.
Dude, Zero is Awesome by default. Even though he was wiped out by Sigma in the intro stage

I only ever did this on LHM, so I don't know if you can do it with tutorial-breaking, but enemy!Dorcas in chapter 4 won't attack Natalie and can't pass through her, so if you don't recruit him he can block off the enemy forces for 0 attacks per turn.
Unfortunatelly, if i don't recruit Dorcas, the game will crash because you are forced to select him after recruiting him, if i avoid it, and the game wants me to select him, it crashses. That is only possible in LHM
