Post subject: Are save glitches allowed in runs?

So lately I found a glitch in Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus on which I can take advantage of a save glitch so that Abe can automatically turn those wheels in Necrum to get to Feeco Depot early and skip the Mudanchee and Mudomo Vaults. I see runs on this site which use a save corruption glitch. Would this new run I'm working on count towards a save corruption glitch or would it be just a regular major skip glitch like the Paramonia Scrabania skip in Abe's Oddysee?

I got it! For PSX they need to be at 990 990 for the bottom of the screen.

So I am working on subtitles for my latest run and I was wondering what are the best X,Y coordinates for them to appear on the bottom of the screen? I never added subtitles to my run before so I need some help. I know how to add them to the movie, but I'm not sure how to position them.

Nice work Dooty. Although I never played this game it looks great especially with the subtitles. I am currently adding subtitles to my maximum casualties improvement so that will be something to look forward to. Yes vote from me!

To avoid rejection on this movie I am cancelling this submission and working on an improvement whilst killing all the Mudokons in the first stage. The next movie I submit will include some movement improvements in one of the secret areas with Abe jumping backwards near walls.

So would it be better if I did an updated run manually killing the first 28 Mudokons? Looking at the PCSX run I can still improve on a few things like doing the multiple backwards jump on leaving a secret area.

How do I change the reactions between characters? sometimes I want the characters to do something else like e,g: In the ending level of Exoddus, i wanted the Mudokon to do what he did in the 100% but in my run he i couldn't get that Mudokon to do what i wanted him to. He would always fall into a meat grinder every time I would load the state and re-doing input again.

Good idea. So I know now how to remove the memory cards and only use the gamepad. The next movie file will be Dooty quality. Update: Since Spikefuff has sown me what to do I will be cancelling this run and will be submitting a better and improved movie in the future.

Have you guys ever played an electronic handheld game before? You might have played then in your childhood years. I've been a fan to electronic games ever since I was six years old when I was introduced to the Bop It game released in 96. Since then i have played every version and seen every game that plays just like it. There are other games like Simon which I didn't know until when YouTube came along but I had some clones of Simon and I had games from Tiger Electronics like Brain Warp, Brain Shift and Boogie Ball! Bop It and Simon games are still made today and it's all thanks to Dan Klistner who in 2008 made a handful of designs to be made at the manufacturing facilities in China. Since the Refresh line of Bop It they have released 8 versions and I have all of them. It's amazing that one year of designing can lead to many years of fun. What handheld games have you played?
