I will give this a Meh, it's a low Meh vote. However, I do advise you to either revise this movie and adjust it to speed up your competition and create a file replacement or to cancel this movie and work on the improvement and submit a new movie down the line.

Loadless version. During some loads, some FMVs(?) occur but they're just audio and inbetween 2 loads and they've been removed, in a real world scenario they'd usually be left in and the actual loads would be removed. (Also I'm a bit lazy to do a proper one.) Link to video

Citation Needed. Very, much needed. Know what you're talking about FilipeTales. Some movie created in LibRetro's MAME dll's in BizHawk cause it was made to compare to another user's work. MAME games are playable within a zip file, you need a zip file to run the Arcade titles. Alternatively, if there's somehow Arcade games that are bin games, load the cue.

Why is having 0 (or "fewest") rerecords a badge of honor now? Should I manually start changing all my TAS rerecord count to 1 before submitting? Is this a trend I should be expecting?
The fun fact is this isn't technically 0 rerecords. :^) The author just wants to make it sound like they actually accomplished something that other TASes have. Edited or not. This will end up not on the list as it doesn't contain a single rerecord count like movies before it.

Nice meme when we look at recent time. Let's start from the top. Well we can start with here. - Where the author was told that they could've placed in a userfile in and pass it across at anytime and shows that we wasted our time on the other movie. There's also questionable selections the author has done which they don't address in the submission text nor here which makes it slower in early game. (You know, you'd actually know what we're talking about if you read it). On Contra III: The Alien Wars. - After the movie was compared to a canned movie. On TMNT III: The Manhattan Project. - When compared to an old WIP and the subsequent posts you made after. On EarthBound. - When the author had direct access to another run by two authors that provided it in their circle which they are also apart of, and the file existed before the author submitted. On EarthBound (again). - Where you've pressured the authors to rush their work. You can edit these posts at any point, but they've been archived. Also, I'd like to point out a rule in Post Content.
All posts and messages must remain civilized. Posts and messages that are or become uncivil are not allowed. The extent of civility (or lack thereof) is determined both by situation and by moderator opinion. Moderators may lock topics that become uncivil. Moderators may also edit or delete offensive posts. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm quite sure that in 4 of those 5 mentioned in that list, you've gone against the rules by being uncivil and disruptive.

Nope, EZGames69 is calling you "stupid" if you are disregarding facts that have been provided. Which has been a common trait for you this year, disregarding the facts. (and that's a big IF by the way.) We have also lost track by not talking about this run anymore, much like previous threads that have gone down this path thanks to you.

Spoilers, Hourglass isn't being developed/looked after anymore. You're only going to run into more issues. If you want to run Windows Games you run it in Windows XP. If you still have problems check if the game runs in Linux then use libTAS.

Just to point out this part YouTube did update their settings to just go "do all the videos, done." Anyone that's on the same account level can correct me on this since I looked for it on just videos alone in the "manually changing" method. It appears that non-partnered accounts cannot do the manually adjust the channel to be for or not for kids. TASVideosChannel as we all know isn't partnered. Again, if someone who isn't partnered can show that it can be manually fine tuned on selected videos please show cause I can't find it on where it's supposed to be located.

Didn't notice this movie back in 2016 so I've got to ask the questions here. What's the difference in the missions besides Jupiter being hardest? - Is there a map layout difference in these missions? Why didn't you consider doing all the appropriate missions to set a standard to a more complete run? - Is it just to compete to the one that skips all the missions? My vote on entertainment is Meh.

If I understand correctly, there is no new content after stage 29. So wouldn't that be a suitable endpoint for the TAS, per our movie rules?
Yes, I don't believe we actually have a TAS (well besides this one) that actually ends on a kill screen. If a Judge sees fit and if link_7777 agrees it might turn into a case where this movie can be truncated to the ending loop if going for kill screen serves as an "issue". Anyone can correct me on this one (especially if the rules changed).

So if we want to stop watching we stop at Stage 30... but if we want to see a game die we have to wait for 256... fair trade... After watching an hour, I'm going to vote with Meh. I can't truck through the same repetitiveness especially when I'm voting Meh. As for a note about max loop, it would've been a Meh Vote anyways.

For publishers, you just dump the video and upload to Youtube which we submitter have done before.
Have you actually watched the publication fsvgm777 did on your Contra 4 TAS? If you haven't, I recommend you watch it. She took time to make that to make sure that the user can see the main screen of where the player is. I'm personally still working on Publishing Bowser's Inside Story, that was accepted 220 days ago, that's 7 months. It's not just dump and upload, we take our time and we make sure everything is correct and that there isn't a single error. Of course errors will crop up and we do eventually fix it even if it takes 5 years to do something like that. Our worst time is December cause we need to work as a team to get everything that's accepted published before the New Year, and if it doesn't, we miss it and we have to well publish our failures of missing the deadline of the New Year. We do this for free by the way.

BizHawk isn't an emulator that's forced down your throat, you can still use FCEUX and snes9x 1.5x. People still use Gens to make movies and submit them even with the audio accuracy errors. Accuracy is the cost of performance, that's the bottom line.

You said I shouldn't doing this bad things. I just need to improve my work. Why? You're unfair. And I cost a long time to improve it. And give it to you? You get my work. Upload the video and get several thousand replay or even more, becomes more famous. You are earned. But what for me?
What you're reading is a translation error. I've said you can choose to say whatever you want, but that's not you. You're not a person who would say or do these "bad things". I've also said you can make it a group project. EZGames69 offered his hand to you for joining him to create a new Contra TAS improvement. I'm not making it unfair, you're making it impossible to actually try to explain to you this situation of your breakdown. It would be nice if there was a native English to Chinese person here that could accurate translate what we're saying, but we have to guess, and we're both guessing wrong. Like I said, I have projects hitting 5 years old now, I know the burden of how long it takes to make a TAS. Also, none of us gets famous only TASVideosChannel, the community's channel. The entire point of trying to get it to one YouTube account is to try and get more people to get into TASing or speedrunning. And I'm not earned, after all you made a comment about it. This is the last comment I'm going to leave for you. You're making it impossible to talk to you and I'm trying my bloody darnedest out of all the Staff members to actually talk to you and trying to get you to understand but you're not having any of it and that's what annoying all because you submitted 3 movies and 2 of them were a rushed job TAS because you stated that you weren't going do something and then instantly jumped on doing a project about it. I'm done here. I'm not going to bother responding any more posts you make. I'm going to refuse to actually read anything you write. If another user tells me what you're writing and it's something bad about me that's fine. I don't care what you say towards me or behind my back. When you've stooped to this low and continue to drag yourself in the mud, it's not worth my time to waste here with your hands in your ears instead of continuing my own work that I need to get done. It was nice talking to you when you were still sane. Bye.

So where's the improvements work on? Several years gone, isn't it finished? And so many other movies are submitted by them? Does they really continue?
I personally have projects hitting 5 years old now due to a technical hiccup, motivation hitting a wall or lost interest completely in a game. If you have a complaint about something that you know the technical knowledge on, you create a TAS on it and work on it yourself or with other people or give out a helping hand to them, the site is communal it doesn't have to be a solo project.

You can choose whatever you want to do, but the choice you're deciding is all because you couldn't accept being accepted and rejected as well. This honestly doesn't make sense from both an outside looking in or being part of this whole ordeal from the get go.

I hope that this is a translation error. I said that because of History we cannot undo your works or delete them. What I didn't mention is we can remove all association from you and removing you as an author from all your works. But that's stripping off the hard work that you put into your work for the past 9 years of you being at this site, it isn't a good feeling to remove someone that's dedicated.

We don't want to lose you just over something over a canned submission being faster, or some history 7 years ago when the site was younger and was more different. We always want to see a person grow, and as a Publisher there are submissions I actually look forward to and always try to get and publish and I still wait on those submissions even to this day.

So when are you going to get back to me about the other post you made that was illogical? Also. Who are the three birds? You have myself a Publisher. feos a Senior Judge + Publisher and Technickle who all commented about the TAS in the forums. Unless you're talking about yourself with your latest post. He's actually talking about me but this would then be a case of him failing to count. I guess Sesame Street can't teach you everything. Also fun fact while we're here. The driving lines actually look worse than the previous movie for the first 5 races. Double fun fact for you electricslide since you have selective reading. The TAS was made and confirmed by the author to be done in 3 weeks since the previous movie's initial submission and we're still trying to understand why the author didn't provide the input and instead went "incognito", do you have an explanation for that or are you going to make another illogical comment about it? What would happen if the author took another 3 weeks after submission and found another improvement wasting everyone's time cause he didn't talk up about it cause he was "busy" but there were posts he made during that "busy" period where he could've pointed it out?

Just because you're faster on TAStime doesn't mean your faster overall. (Bold is faster) I've seen enough honestly just by comparing the first five races to the currently published movie you improve in later areas but you lose time in earlier areas. This TAS isn't balanced, more can be improved. Abstaining from voting. As a reminder. You cannot make the argument about IGT not being valuable when it's shows off the lack of skill and is still completely usable for a quick comparison. (Like you argued on the Published movie) Edit: You should also explain the purchases you do throughout the run. End of Race 1: Gearbox vs Nitro End of Race 3: Wet Tires What you've demonstrated here is that getting upgraded Nitro instead of an upgraded Gearbox is not worth it when it's compared. Especially with the lack of explanation.

The method is probably mentioned earlier (like 20 pages back or so) but I didn't spot it... So I followed the page on AviSynth about ImageSourceAnim and that's including updating the libraries, making sure that I have DevIL updated all done. And came up with is an error that I couldn't find the answer to googling around. I can just do the simple method of raw avi and dealing with that, but I did want to see the gif method.

However you were comfortably able to make two posts in October meaning that you had plenty of time to do the submission then. That's going off of post history. Instead of asking for a file replacement for the movie you just gave a new submission after publication, which is honestly on a processing side a waste of time. However, because of that it means you should have no errors that were pointed out to you then. Shouldn't it? You lost 2 frames screwing about in the menus. Also that means you should make a table for the frame time or the in game time for each level since we found out that it is actually reliable enough.

Bit late. But mainly just waited around to see if a staff member can fix it. (Short version: They can, but it's a process and a half.) This is a fix for the TAS to redisable a feature that was enabled which is basically the 3D functionality. This TAS still completely syncs with this fix which can be seen in the fix encode I had to make. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/download/59111163817941705 This is mainly for whoever in the future wants to reencode it and should hopefully look at the forums. Now if you need me I'm going to see if I can do the reverse and see if previous Vboy TASes still sync with the feature enabled (Spoilers: They synced).
