First let me start with this. This is a known YouTube bug. Last night I did a batch to make public 6 movies. The 6 movies are from the VBoy listed below: [1510] Vboy Virtual Boy Wario Land by adelikat in 19:19.50 [1528] Vboy Virtual Boy Wario Land by adelikat in 18:39.56 [1566] Vboy Virtual Boy Wario Land "best ending" by adelikat in 21:53.28 [1542] Vboy Red Alarm by Ryuto in 14:07.54 [3142] Vboy Nester's Funky Bowling by dekutony in 01:09.26 [3152] Vboy Nester's Funky Bowling by Spikestuff, dekutony in 01:06.79 The lucky last one (bolded) is the one that is visible to subscribers and people viewing the channel. The other five are in limbo. The videos are allegedly deleted. This is a lie if you click one of those "deleted videos" and you'll be transported to the limbo encode. But people who (prepares the gun) Subscribe and use the Bell icon to get push notifications on the newest public video will avoid this issue. (shoots himself) Sometimes this issue resolves itself in an hour to a day to not even showing up on the subscription feed and then suddenly showing up one day on the account. Currently at this time those encodes are have been in limbo for 22 hours. The videos are public it's just that YouTube is so great. You cannot unlist/private the videos and make them public again. It will not work. The solution is two fold. Wait or reencode. The risk with reencoding is that you have a chance to lose another encode. I will be testing in a bit after the 24 hour period by throwing 6 more reencodes up to see if YouTube gobbles it up. I'll keep you posted on that with an edit. And 24hours went by and the 6 other reencodes went live and live it did just that. No bloody issues what-so-ever. Guess we'll have to wait. fsvgm actually speculates that it's an October 31st upload issue (where everything is gone forever) but we'll see in the next coming days/weeks. I mean it took a few months for the 50fps bug to be fixed on the videos that had that bug. After the patch was rolled out. Edit: Welp, I did infact wait. YouTube nuked 'em. GUESS WHAT I HAD IN RESERVES? ALL OF THE RAWS TO THIS.

I would like to know is there any additional restriction rule for uploading TAS videos from this site to my channel?
Certain authors such as myself would only prefer first and foremost that their TAS is on their account as a temp/main encode and that the second/main encode is on TASVideosChannel/

What about monetization?
No. Hell No. Never ever monetize off of someone's work that they themselves (most of the time) don't profit from. Never ever monetize an encode, which a Publisher/Encoder did, which they don't even profit from. We do it basically as free labor and it's annoying to see our encodes elsewhere being monetized by some greedy bastard. There is literally no point to hosting the TASes on YouTube as TASVideosChannel is the main hub for the movies that we publish/reencode. If you want to do mirrors to encodes that we do, go elsewhere. We don't need people to mirror the same encodes on YouTube it's not needed.

>passwords. And just like that you lost me just like you lost 2023 frames to blank frames at the end. So against the author's 3335 frame movie (when removing the blank input). Here it is done in 2864 frames. No vote, cause password used to get straight to the end of the game.

Felony 11–79 since that's what the title is known outside of Japan/Asia for the first game. Single Level. There are a total of 3 levels. Just 3 in the entire game. DOWN TOWN, SEA SIDE, METRO CITY/PARIS Now you're stating you're using a password, for a better car. I'm going to leave that to an actual judge for that statement. Also for those wondering the TNK he used here's the requirement without the password: Unlocks: After completing the Metro course with NO accumulated damage. I'm voting a heavy No just for the password and being incomplete.

Jesus. Branch explanation. T.T. is the Time Trail course. It's stated as follows by the game (For speed: Left is NTSC-U | Right is NTSC-J) Race: 3 Laps Max Speed 138mph or 220km/h High-Level which is the one below is Race: 3 Laps Max Speed: 125mph or 200km/h Does that mean NTSC-U is faster? #12 refers to the car chosen. > RT Blue Solvalou Triggering the name screen can be brought up sooner, the wait wasn't needed. My issue with this, is that it's not a complete TAS. Just a single stage one again. The game actually has an end goal which is to defeat and unlock the Devil Car. Being a single race instead of a full game I'm giving it a Meh vote. As a suggestion as an encoder, please stop using SCPH-1000 it's ass for us encoders. Upgrade to the recommend SCPH-5500. Also for Ridge Racer isn't it better to do the 1998 release which guns for 60fps? (I forgot there was a release that didn't feature any other games, and was a full one not Arcade style) Just like the other submission before it. Here's an alternate encode from behind the car: Link to video

Bad news for the route you used. It's slower than Tompa's. I completed a heavy spiking of your input a few minutes after you canned it. Getting everything executed correctly for both the starting and ending input which leaves it to just the middle which is your input. There's no contest between the two. You're slower than him by 464 frames. For a first timer I said you did a great job at the challenge, but you didn't beat the Legend. Here's the userfile that absolutely fixes your movie: User movie #43090199916176173

You have some blank input there at the end. I'm just going to assume that you got where you wanted ending input to be in the correct spot and do a Light Spiking cleaning up your input. 456 frames of blank input chopped off from the end: User movie #43089383819739304 You don't have to cancel your submission, a judge will come and update the input file accordingly. I'll look into the ending input later, and provide a temp encode (unless you have one). Edit: Opening input plain bad. You have achieved a faster time than that of Tompa's old TAS. But your execution is way off. I'm refraining from voting, but still going to provide that encode. Edit 2: Ignore that Spiking. The user incorrectly ended their input way too early.

If you're going to TAS an Arcade game that has a very long time to load thanks to it being done on the PS1 version. Why bother? TAS the NES version or some other Cartridge based version. If the only version is on the PS1 then TAS the PS1 version. If there's a harder difficulty on the PS1 version that doesn't exist in the Arcade's dip switches. TAS the PS1 version. You're losing a crap time of time when comparing off to the NES version. As for loops. If I'm not mistaken, and anyone's free to correct me on it. A Game Loop for Dig Dug is at the end of 12 or 15. Arbitrary branch and using the wrong system. No Vote. Also, you used the slowest possible method of killing, and ontop of all that your Round 9 is the shitshow of your entire TAS. Edit: Also don't take Nécroyeur's advice, else you'll pull out a worse TAS since MAME-RR is a pile of garbage for using the outdated TASing methods and really needs to be ported to Hawk or overhauled entirely. Unless you want to get away with making a half-ass no effort TASes, falsify your objectives and avoid all controversy behind it by hiding from it and still somehow getting accepted for putting out garbage then do that. Also Arcade takes a longer time to boot for the same god damn game. So Arcade can shove off.

Mesen just needs a TASeditor as it does have movie creation, debugging and dumping. Haven't played around with Mesen's recording myself in a while so I don't know to what extent it works or doesn't. The other issue Mesen currently the input file (.mmo) can't be edited in a simple text editor similar to FCEUX's .fm2 format or be basically a zip file like BizHawk/lsnes in order to access the input.

Nope. Don't even go down that route. Especially when the last 7 movies obsolete the 3 Mike Tyson only TASes that were made, and this is the important bit 2004. 2004 TASVideos isn't the best representation of TASVideos is now. It's basically more of a what not to do and those mistakes are later obsoleted by a full completion of the game. There's a few games with this example on what I just stated btw. It's not a single game case.

Aside from the questionable opening and ending input (Heavy-Spiking needed). This TAS is done well (enough) and improves on the previous publication. My vote is Meh for entertainment.

Alright let's go through this list. >Some of these aren't TASVideosChannel. >One's a dupe Uhha... Yeah, if you're going to make this list, make sure you're on the right channel. We have nothing to do with non-TVC stuff. Side Note: TVC used to automatically do [obsolete] on publications when that was finally placed as a thing for the YouTube encodes... only to be struck down by the automation dying and requiring to do manual editing. (Until 'TAS originally published on' came a thing and actually got rid of the major backlog) The list isn't necessary. (nor this thread) The need to revive the automation that actually did this in the first place is.

>Post Subject: Cause reviewing published movies is quite sad honestly. You're single handily, deliberately might I add, picking out the Vault TASes because you feel bad that they're underrated. Your voting style especially after publication holds no weight and it honestly means absolutely nothing. Especially with the "reviews" you come up with which mainly apply to Vault movies. Again to repeat myself from IRC. It's annoying to see posts from you in the Published movies section cause most of the time we publishes/encoders think "Oh no, what did we do wrong?" This is also an unnecessary year old bump you committed. Catch the movies when they're submissions, not when they're publications. Vote then, not later. Oh and about my movies specifically. I usually don't give two craps about my Vault TASes, especially if they are fighters. If you want me to give crap about my Vault TASes it's simple, it's the ones I put effort into (Tekken 3). Mappy and Suzuki Bakuhatsu. But I suggest not digging those up, it'll mean nothing from someone whose goal is to go through each Vault movie and give a late "review". Actually, if you want to do reviews how's about you get another page for your section or alternatively. Use the comment section on YouTube. Since the encodes gather more attention over there, than on the site.

Game: Dark Tales: From the Lost Soul Category: "all endings" System: Playstation Completed: 3/13 Userfile Link to video Link to video Link to video Don't worry. After the first ending of the 3 storylines it does get a bit faster. But you'll won't know this until it is submitted as I'm only showing the first time round through each story publicly.

Low rerecord count. Ok... Mashing input at the start. Oh lordy. Blank input at the end. Alright then. Now before I actually touch this game myself is majority of this input RTA input? Also isn't for this game in particular Genesis > SNES?

I tried disabling Controller 2 and Memory Card 2 in the PSX tab, not sure whether it was applied though
checks Nah, you didn't. It's fine tho. If the game has next to no RNG this should be an easy fix to make. You need to make sure you've disabled these before you start TASing the game. And iirc you were halfway through before attempting to do this.

Nah. The top link that's here under miscellaneous is better (and is well organized and timestamped) and also comes in French. So if we're going to link something that explains more to the front page of all places, when we actually already link to the welcome page for people have never signed in it'd be that. But since we actually link to the welcome page froom the index;

I'm not a fan of long drawn out score TASes so I voted No. However. I'm concerned by your King Hippo fight, as it ended in Round 2 and you weren't able to drag it out to the 3rd Round.
