By watching some game-play videos, I wouldn't say the TASing part is very hard. Route-planning can be difficult. But I don't know this game, so I can't tell properly.

Sorry for no updates recently.
I found a possible 9 frame improvement in 1-1, but due to an extra enemy in a warp star cutscene, I lose to much frames afterwards. I tried to get rid of him, but I couldn't succeed.
I'll go on and ignore those 9 frames by now.

Thanks for the information, Inzult.
I took your advice and manage to save 2 frames before picking up the doll, but I ended up exiting the cave on the same frame as before. I also got better subpixel position when picking up the doll.
Edit: Fixed it, but lost some subpixels.

Just to point out: A RTA run would probably have a different definition. For the TAS I needed 705 rupees, but there are only 550 rupees on the overworld and 65 in dungeons (not counting enemy drops). That would be 615 in total, but there are still 90 rupees missing to get to 705. I'm sure no RTA runner would kill non-stop enemies or doing the gambling game, because both of them depend on luck, they'd rather remove some items from the TAS definition.
I would never make a TAS based on RTA defintions! Because we have the power not to fail item drops and the gambling game.

You can use branches to save your inputs. To get to the branches you should double click on the bookmark dialog, if it isn't already there. To save all the inputs of your tested strat just set a new branch anywhere, it save the whole input before and after the saved frame.

I'm actually asking, if they tried, not if they succeeded to find improvements in this section.
A lot of TASes are considered to be perfect, but there will always be people who found improvements where it isn't expected due to optimization. OoT is a complex game and therefore it's hiding improvements.

The bombs are consumption items and it they are extensivly used in this run, while the bait isn't. Having one bomb left wouldn't make any difference on the run, because the last bomb was just used for some playaround. For the bombs I get the two upgrades.
Those things are to arbritary.
I hope don't get the idea, a 100% run should kill all enemies, visit every room and stand on every possible spot...

I didn't TAS this to post negative submission comments. lol
This TAS was done, 'cause the world needs a 100% Zelda run.
The submission comments are negative just to fuck around with people.

By watching got4n's comparison video, I noticed that the newer tas is slightly slower at the beginning. Is this true or is it a fault of the comparison video?
Anyway, nice work!

Do you want to do a TAS or a real time speedrun. If you want to do a real time speedrun, using TAS tools is NOT allowed!
You need a specific adapter to connect your GBA to a computer.
