Welcome! Your movie was very sloppy, as you might already noticed by your own. First of all in the underground section, you jumped very high to get to the pipe. You just want to jump so high that you barely don't hit the blocks. You should watch the published movie to understand what I mean. In the end you ran into some blocks, that's an error. Here and there are some minor errors, but those two should be obvious ones for someone who isn't into SMB TASing. The game also has a Game Resources. There're a lot of tricks for SMB. I throw this playlist into here, so you can see a bit of a professional TASing process.

The snake game softlocks if the snake is at full lenght and eat the last apple. You can do anything, not even get back to the menu, the snake doesn't die either. I testet this out yesterday night.

Saved two more frames after exiting the room where I got the downstab technique. So I am 9 frames ahead. Is this good or is there potential for more?

A very nice run that I really enjoyed. One question though: Directly after Dungeon 7 (23:17 on Youtube) after walking south: Why didn't you get back up into the menu-area and walk to the left there? Looks like this would have been 1-2 seconds faster?
Doesn't work, there are invisible blocks in the HUD.

(Also RCR TAS would be very hard)
By watching some game-play videos, I wouldn't say the TASing part is very hard. Route-planning can be difficult. But I don't know this game, so I can't tell properly.

With an hotkey, or set it in the movie play-back dialog. FCEUX is very stable, it won't desync.

Playback the movie with read-write enabled to a point you want to continue, save a state, then load this savestate.

Sorry for no updates recently. I found a possible 9 frame improvement in 1-1, but due to an extra enemy in a warp star cutscene, I lose to much frames afterwards. I tried to get rid of him, but I couldn't succeed. I'll go on and ignore those 9 frames by now.

Thanks for the information, Inzult. I took your advice and manage to save 2 frames before picking up the doll, but I ended up exiting the cave on the same frame as before. I also got better subpixel position when picking up the doll. Edit: Fixed it, but lost some subpixels.

There are also markers. Double click on a frame number, the frame will become yellow, to give it a name edit the textbox and press enter.

I did some testing and managed to save 3 frames before entering Ruto town. I'm not sure if it is an emulator difference or an actuall improvement. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/11738290403919017

Just to point out: A RTA run would probably have a different definition. For the TAS I needed 705 rupees, but there are only 550 rupees on the overworld and 65 in dungeons (not counting enemy drops). That would be 615 in total, but there are still 90 rupees missing to get to 705. I'm sure no RTA runner would kill non-stop enemies or doing the gambling game, because both of them depend on luck, they'd rather remove some items from the TAS definition. I would never make a TAS based on RTA defintions! Because we have the power not to fail item drops and the gambling game.

You can use branches to save your inputs. To get to the branches you should double click on the bookmark dialog, if it isn't already there. To save all the inputs of your tested strat just set a new branch anywhere, it save the whole input before and after the saved frame.

Lag or text doesn't count for slower/faster version to use, only different glitches count.

The description says that the early parts of the run have been TASed a lot already and are likely maxed or close to maxed.
I'm actually asking, if they tried, not if they succeeded to find improvements in this section. A lot of TASes are considered to be perfect, but there will always be people who found improvements where it isn't expected due to optimization. OoT is a complex game and therefore it's hiding improvements.

Easy Yes vote. A Question: Have you not tried to improve the parts before cucco collecting?

Nice work. Yes vote. Thanks for posting WIPs on almost every chapter in the thread, so I don't have to watch this long run at once.

The problem is that there are no bombs left in the inventory at the end of the game, creating a hole which can clearly be seen in the sub-screen when the TAS switches to the bow upon entering Ganon's room. Unlike arrows which don't disappear from the inventory when running out of rupees, keeping at least one bomb is required to have a full inventory. For those that would argue that picking bombs once is enough to qualify (a position I disagree with but has some merit), well in this case the run is sub-optimal. The same logic has to apply to the bait (1 use), and yet it was purchased twice. This is inconsistent, and I don't see any arguments that would reconcile "no bombs left" and "detour to purchase extra bait" for 100%.
The bombs are consumption items and it they are extensivly used in this run, while the bait isn't. Having one bomb left wouldn't make any difference on the run, because the last bomb was just used for some playaround. For the bombs I get the two upgrades. Those things are to arbritary. I hope don't get the idea, a 100% run should kill all enemies, visit every room and stand on every possible spot...

By manipulating them. I wish I could've done some more damage boosts in Level 9, but those bats are behaving different than other enemies.

I didn't TAS this to post negative submission comments. lol This TAS was done, 'cause the world needs a 100% Zelda run. The submission comments are negative just to fuck around with people.
