I can say that the thing you need to look for is "trm-smup", how you use it is up to you. Anyways! Watched it to the end, and I was really impressed! I thought Nintendo got all the glitches out of the game, but guess not! Too bad Luigi and Wario died :'( Yes vote!

Huh, doesn't want to play back properly for me. I'm looking at the input and it looks like you press things before they can be pressed? Either that, or I don't have the right ROM/have a setting that needs to be changed (yes, I have Advanced Bus-Level Timing ON)
no idea… emulator, ROM and the only emu setting I thought was necessary is written in the submission page input starts with stylus being held down for many frames, since you can do that to get the input as soon as possible
Well what I mean is, I see the stylus input for selecting "Adventure", but the game doesn't move on to the file select screen. The next tap to the screen (obviously to select file 1) sends the title screen into doodle mode... something isn't right here. EDIT: It was the ROM! I switched ROMs and it works. Watching now...

Serious question. Are you considering doing a TAS for the terrible brother of DOS Mega Man - DOS Mega Man 3? That's a much harder and longer game, but also features swimming!

No anti-communist butter monsters were harmed during the making of this film.
They were all harmed after the film was made. Amazing run! You ripped this game wide open. Yes vote.

Here's a different MMX glitch idea that also goes into the grey area. There are three passwords that completely malfunction when put in: 2226-5352-8868 7443-2241-1221 5778-8422-3577 Instead of loading a game, it gives the "incorrect password" buzzer sound, then proceeds to start a new game without completely initializing memory. The end result is a locked-up game because X's max health is zero. The key aspect of this glitch is the fact that memory is not completely initialized for a new game. How can that be leveraged? Let the attract mode demo load. Yes, if you wait long enough at the title scree, an attract mode demo begins to play, showing some subpar gameplay of a fully-powered X, demoing all the weapons and their charged versions. The demo just has to be loaded, pressing start to end it and go back to the menu is all you need. So, if you use a glitch password (the second one seems to be the fastest to input) after making the RAM "dirty", you can then start a new game... with all the weapons, heart tanks, and sub tanks. Armor upgrades can't be obtained this way, and using this method seems to invalidate any access to the Hadouken. The intro stage becomes a lot faster (use Storm Eagle's weapon on the bee copter miniboss, with a well-timed jump, to skip the whole "falling into a pit then climb out" sequence) and slower. (You have max HP, a means to get that lowered drastically before Vile is needed.) But after the intro stage, the fortress stages are immediately available. That's because having a weapon means the Maverick boss was defeated. It also means being able to skip the mandatory Leg part in Chill Penguin's stage, which may or may not be a good thing. The glitch works on the JP and US (1.0, 1.1) ROMs, and can be performed on real hardware. But it's still a bit of a grey area due to the use of the password screen. Here's a video of the glitch in action.

I'm having a problem of my own with the frame advance feature in the recent builds of SNES9X. In Snes9X v1.43+ v15.3 (lua 0.05) for Windows, I can map frame advance to the left trigger on my 360 controller, and either press it to advance a frame, or hold it down for pseudo slow-motion. I can't get that second effect in the newer builds, and if I hold down Frame Advance when mapped to a keyboard key in said newer builds, it acts wierd and freezes up my entire computer for a few minutes. Flygon is trying to make me move an experimental project from this older 1.43 to the latest 1.51, but unless this problem is solved I'm sticking with the more useful version.

I really liked the addition of subtitled commentary to the run; it added a nice touch and made things a bit easier to follow than just straight-up text in the submission. Yes vote for a nice improvement to a previous submission.

I don't know what controls [the Bridge Zone boss'] spawn pattern.
I do. It's dependant on Sonic's direction. IIRC, Robotnik tries to attack from behind. As for the run, there were some dull spots, but the glitches abused and the times achieved are rather impressive. You could have done some more playing around during Bridge Zone 2, as well as when waiting for the Green Hill Zone boss to appear. Yes vote.

This is correct, Red is female in Super Heroes.

That's because you didn't read the forum rules. Not only is it okay, it's required. Though we're generally pretty relaxed about enforcement, especially on first offense.
Ah, I see. Kind of the polar opposite to like, every other forum I've been to. I won't make that mistake again!
