I' do not TAS anymore (for now), but I'm still really happy to come back here from time to time and see such good runs ! This Kirby run of yours is truly amazing and that planning must have been a considerable work! I can recall when I was playing this game myself that I never understood the routes as every world was link with any other world... Yes vote of course and really great work !

Simply awesome... You have gained a far deeper knowledge of the game than I have and you have managed to take into accounts a lot of parameters of the game... What I loved : - Your way of climbing walls, cancelling almost all of my work with double jump (still glad that it saved time in Ragnarok Control Room :P I was surprised when I watched your submission to see you collecting parts for it, I read the comments after...) - Your use of the Z-knuckle to add a lot of diversity to the run and making it a lot more entertaining than mine. - How you used EX skills + knuckle to combo bosses quickly. Like Zefiris said, I'm not too fond of the fact of being hit during boss fights, yet, I guess that aiming for best time includes that. Anyway, congrats and yes vote, of course... You're really good !

@Xaphan: Thanks for the comments! And how's your own MMZ4 run going? I hate manipulating luck. It's simply pain (link to WIP). I wonder if Heat Gemblem can be improved further with better luck manipulation. Oops, It seems that I have got much more parts than needed. EDIT: Now it's up to the settlement mission. I've modified the boss order to fight Fenri Lunaedge before Popla Cocapetri, with which I can benefit from optimized weapon/weather strategies. And Time Stopper is overall superior to Burning Shot in later levels, even though the latter works better against Fenri Lunaedge. All the bosses are carefully manipulated to be done in the favourable ways. EDIT 2: Prison done. So far I've done most of the most difficult parts of luck manipulation in the whole run!
That's truly impressive. Now I get your point about double-jump. With tha fabulous way of climbing walls, it just cancel most of the time I could've saved with it. Do you have a special method for luck manipulation, cause you get so much parts so effortlessly (it seems) ? Also about that mniboss dragon fight in Genblem stage, how do you defeat it so quickly ? And is there a reason you get hit that much during boss fights ?? Anyway, it's impressive work and I really long for the rest. You're a way better TASer than me and I'm finally glad we get something awesome for that great game !

That's really impressive ! Those first two levels already show a huge improvement over my previous run and this is stunning (I also recognize that my test run with Double jump is still on a lower level then your current run). This is the beginning of an impressive run and I'm looking forward to your newest WIP. Keep up the good work and I wish you the best of luck for this run!!

You did an incredible job and I'm really impressed by your run ! You use Exskills much better than I did and used some tricks that were completely skipped in my movies (dash jumping to climb narrow walls for example) ! That's a yes vote ! I may try an improvement one day, but that'll e hard and may take time. Once I'm done with my new MMZ4 run, I mayy pause MMZ run and go on Klonoa 2... Finally I wanted to know if you had planned to use the EU or the J version for your MMZ4 run ? You're great :) !

Yep yep, progressing and almost done......... Only the before last/last level remain... Double jump is such a wonder hehe.... I'll be counting frame saved by level at the end... I still hope that klmz will continue his run so that we can compare both results !

I've just dropped out from my previous job as sysadmin to become a piano teacher. I've been fed up with IT and dedicating my life to music was somehow a burning wish. The fact is that piano teacher doesn't pay as well as sysadmin/any IT related jobs. At least when I wake up in the morning I'm now happy to go to work... and I still manage to feed myself...

I'm just finishing my desktop setup and I should work on it again by then end of the week... hoping to finish it before my week of holiday in March... :D

Whoa Klmz, I'm glad you're trying to TAS it ! I'd like to see your WIP (as I'm more than halfway in my TAS and I've gathered all the chips I needed) We could share work if you're interested... (No I did not give up, yet my work and some problems have taken all my time recently...) (If luck manip drove you mad in the first level, just wait for Genblem's one, that one really drove me crazy...) EDIT : I've just re-read the whole thread again, and I did not give up... I just had a lot of problems since the beginning of the year (mostly with my car and had an accident which sent me to the hospital...) Note that I've been working on it a lot, spent more than 3000 rerecords on Genblem's stage to get all the necessary chips. though I did not post any WIPs in a while (I wanted to keep it a surprise as well, as I improved every level so far by many ingame clock seconds, still have to count the exact number of frames saved so far...) Only AngerFist and Mike Uyama (who was lucky to see the very last WIP) did see my work so far. @Zefiris : I you want to see the WIP I'd more than glad to share ! @klmz : If you want to compare which method is better do you want to wait for our respective results ?

Currently I'm reading : The Perfume by Patrick Süskind (it's a really nice novel so far and description part are top notch) Baudolino by Umberto Eco (I'm a big fan of Umberto Eco, The Foucault's pendulum was quite difficult to read but Baudolino is "simpler" and really nicely written...)

Wow, I love Kirby and I love this game... I heard that it was not good for TAsing but still was hoping that someone would do it. Now looking to your run I'm convinced that this person was wrong and that your run is really good... Cheer up and good luck !

Actually by saying "minimal configuration" I was mostly speaking of the appearance of my desktop (what Raiscan was referring to in fact). Maybe that was no appropriate terminology I guess so may I apologize for the language abuse. Moreover, I do not understand your point into pointing out that the only difference is that my shortcuts are not graphical. Wasn't that what I was saying ? I simply do not like the look&feel of DE and I prefer simpler yet very functionnal WM such as Fvwm or Openbox (that I can modify the way I like it).

Well, I'm used to having minimal configuration. I do not really like to have overwhelming menus/config tools like KDE or Gnome would offer. Fvwm allows users to configure their WM in every way they would want. I configured many bindings for different applications (with Keys, mouse and even mouse stroke...), so even with a simple appearance I do not lack performance. I guess that I'm used to that kind of configuration and that it would not suit everyone... Some people even prefer some WM that are entirely bound to keyboard such as Ratpoison... It's too Xtreme for me :D And thanks for finding it cool ! (I really put effort in making my desktop having a nice look, so I really appreciate when people like it !) The only thing I like for now is a systay application. I should download one ASAP :)

Correction, they guard the power bracelets, not the flippers. They wouldn't co-operate with me and die fast and efficiently, so I just kinda stopped working on it for a (long) while. Then I gave the wip to Zurreco and asked him to do that room for me so I can continue.
1) Shut up jerk. You're a jerk and your mouth needs to be shut. 2) I haven't touched any of my works in months. What makes you think I'm going to do your work for you? Just Bomb-Arrow the crap out of them like I told you to.
So, from that answer I comprehend that no one is currently working on it. Atma, do you plan to continue it ? (or maybe Zurreco ?)

Hugh, dead I am not ! Though very busy I am currently and very little progress has been made so far... I'm currently moving (to the south of france) in September so I won't be able to work on it until that time... But do not worry, this improvement will be released (or I'll buy you tomatoes that you'll be able to throw at me if I do not keep my promise) I'm planning to release a new WIP for the end of September and sorry for haven't given any news so far... Now... please go ahead, blame me !
