We (NxCy, Carl Sagan and me) have been working on the TAS a lot lately, and are now at 6-8! Note that we do still have all the extra levels to complete after that.
Final stretch! Super excited for this!

Yes vote. Both sides have made very good points, so I am not basing the decision on either side. I played this as a kid and can respect the game as a whole. Seeing it broken like this was a nice surprise! I was entertained while watching the movie. That is what matters to me

Wow! I was hoping someone would take the time for a 100% on this. I am really looking forward to seeing more! This game certainly has a lot to offer for entertainment especially if you have played it in real time and understand how difficult and frustrating bomb jumping can be

Some things, like the hatch timer, run in real time, and are independent of the game speed. Others, such as the speed they travel are synced to the game speed. This explains the strange behavior. This is a holdover from the original jumpman, where the robots of robots II move at the same speed regardless of yours.
I just loaded up Jumpman and you are right! I always play at speed 3 so I never noticed that the robots in II move that speed no matter what you choose. It actually made playing that level at a slower speed more difficult. I did notice long ago that there were some levels like Freeze where I will switch to speed 2 so that I can outrun the freezing things. Oh man, I love these two games. So much creativity in Jumpman that wasn't shown in Jumpman Jr.

I have spent a lot of time trying to perfect this game on my Atari 1200xl. While, i certainly prefer that version over this one for most levels (Except for dumbwaiter... cause that level is awful at slower speeds) The subtle changes between versions are actually interesting and makes me wonder why Epyx changed up the levels between consoles. For example, Hatchlings is much more difficult on my version since they spawn immediately instead of waiting to hatch Anyhow, this is a yes vote for me for bringing back memories and introducing this game to a lot of people who may have never heard of it. Some of the routes used are quite different than my own personal routes in real time, but I will have to test them out to see if I can use them to my advantage =D Thanks for this run!

Watched the run, It was entertaining for me and showed off a few tricks that cannot be shown in a pure speed run. Voting yes for this to be a new category. I am also eager to see what improvements could be made

Wow. I actually enjoyed this more than a speed run of sonic 2. I was a little disappointed that some levels were skipped to keep in line with the goal. Otherwise, yes yes yes! enjoyable run to watch. Clear yes

Wow... Just... wow. I always thought that Wily1 in MM2 was the only way to skip an important boss. Entertaining, confusing, fun! Credits made me lol. obvious yes!

There were some fun moments in this, especially in 8-3 with the hammer brother playaround, but for the most part it seemed lacking. Nice concept and executed very well, but too many moments where I wanted to hit the fast forward key. Voting Meh

Yes. This was more entertaining than the normal run. Also, Yay for keeping Tetris Tetrominoes on 2-3!

I actually enjoyed 1-1, since you don't see that path taken often, and on the 8-1 Goomba jump. The rest of the run seemed too similar to the published warp run. Voting Meh for being entertained, just not enough to warrant a Yes

Yes Vote. Published along side the (U) version. While a lot of people are saying that this is suboptimal or could be improved, I see this as a good thing. Perhaps with a seperate publication, the same sort of frame war will start as has been done with the (U) publication. This could maybe allow for new glitches to be found, or other game breaking tricks. With so little time invested in the PAL version, who knows what may show up.

I enjoyed this. It was interesting seeing the bomb killing strategies as well as the path chosen. Even though it wasn't "Swordless," I agree with adelikat in that he completed his goal, which is where the entertainment was. I think freezing or dying in Gannon's room would have been just as enjoyable Yes vote

Meh vote. While there were some interesting glitches used, most of the level designs and sprite changes just seemed ugly to me. There is some entertainment value here, but the rest of the game, especially in Wily 2 and 3, just bored me

I saw this game on Kotaku a while back and decided to try it out. The demo seemed pretty fun so I spent the $15 for the full version. I certainly have not regretted it. The basic idea is you move left and right, avoid obstacles, and change gravity up or down using the action button. Great music throughout. Time Trials open up after beating the game. There are also some pretty frustrating moments in the game where you may lose some hair >< Would love to see and compare Time Trial scores with others Check it out! http://distractionware.com/blog/?cat=51 or the official site: http://thelettervsixtim.es/

I was going through my rather large collection of DS games that I have purchased over the years, and I noticed Polarium. Very underrated game. Alot of fun, but challenge mode is extremely difficult past level 4 for me. I think this could make an amazing TAS to watch due to the nature of this puzzle game.

Voting yes. I don't usually enjoy mario hacks, but this one really took the game engine and turned it around into something other than a simple change in levels. Very entertaining, though confusing at times. I did not feel like I was watching a Mario game at all. The music was awesome, but it is a shame that all the jumping made it hard to listen to.

In light of charles1q2w's and sonicmason's recent submissions: These seem to be obvious griefing submissions that have no real point but to take the time and effort of the rest of us to review. While I understand keeping submissions open, shouldn't there be some sort of restriction to new users posting submissions? If anyone that isn't already part of this comminuty wants to submit anything, they should really have some sorta of access.. Even if it means contacting a Mod for this access.. They may have some amazing input with a new 10 second improvement on NES Donkey Kong, but chances they are only able to find that new exploit from this site in the first place. Is there any reason that the current submission process saves time or effort? Is it easier to just reject multiple submissions on the same day that clearly dont follow the rules? This seems to be a problem that is occuring more often each month.
