If you are working on an improved version, will you be cancelling this submission? EDIT: good luck on your new run :)

Ok so I watched this run (sorry I used VBA to watch it :p) I liked it and it seems as high quality as your other storybook runs, so it should definately be published. Good job (and yes vote). The game seems an awful lot like the plot of the first one. At first I thought that was silly, why would he be running around doing the same stuff. Then I remembered, he has AMNESIA! He doesn't remember that he has been through this before ;) Seriously this guy should see a doctor about this problem!

great run, and a very weird & entertaining game :) I like the huge amounts of foward momentum you were able to build up in places. Also the boss fights looked very expertly done. Definate yes vote.

but not going for time results in a 1 & 1/2 hr movie! This is excessive. Even though it was all entertaining, it gets old. Anything you can do to lower the end time should be done. BTW, I also noticed the spot the Truncated mentioned. Also when you shoot a missle you have to wait until your evade (or something like that) number reaches 0 so you kill time. In one spot you left the room, backtracked a little and THEN the number reached 0. Shouldn't you have been as close as possible to the exit when the number reaches 0? I am voting no, because I disagree with the author's goals. I do think a run of this game could be publishable but it would have to be less than 1 hr (that is about the point that I was forcing myself to continue watching it).

I've our work Tailz since this and know that it has improved much. This run simply isn't up to par. I know that if redid this, you could certainly improve it a lot. So I will be voting 'NO' Even if this is improved I not so sure it should be published, it is a very long game. (though I am not convinced of my opinion)

So there's at least one obvious improvement and the movie breaks a site rule. I think I'm voting no on this one.
ditto, I see no reason why this run warrants an exception to the rule.

The mouse running was good, but I wish there was more of it. The other parts weren't as interesting, to be honest...
this run badly needs more mouse, that was the only thing that entertained me. also, either the controls are very clumsy are this run could be more optimized, either way it was frustrating to watch. This run just doesn't quite have enough overcome that. I vote no

I actually watched this whole thing (but in 4 sittings). This is waaay to long for what it is. The game is entertaining & you seem to have good control over it but it gets old after awhile. Is this the fastest possible completion time? or is time sacrificed for these goals?: # plays on hardest difficulty with NO RADAR and auto text scrolling (to end movie asap) # Aims for Big Boss Rank (which i have no idea how to describe because it may or may not be the same as the PSX port... i never found anything much on it online, sorry). the basics are to literally never get spotted, never kill anyone, never continue, never use more than 1 ration, and to complete the game quickly. if these goals result in a longer time then I disagree with them. I haven't voted yet, but I am leaning toward "NO".

I'm glad to see people looking into this :) ledauphinbenoit: how did you get to kandar without getting hit? that must have been some good manipulation in the dungeons :O Leveling Up: getting to kandar 2 makes it possible to level up. Remember that the barahata area connect to dhama in the north, so just walk up there and manipulate a metal slime encounter. It will be difficult since you cannot manipulate critical hits. But if you try enough combinations you might find a battle where a party member lands one. Party selection: I think a wizard will be invaluable here (unlike a normal playthrough). They are able to do the most damage at the earliest levels and will be very useful since they learn return & outside. The hero learns those spells but has poor max MP so he will never be able to cast very many of them. A pilgram will also be valuable here is since you will need many heal spells to manipulate encounters in dungeons. Also the sap & surround spells will be much needed. Soldiers will not be too useful here because they are too slow and too expensive to equip. Fighters are great because they will attack first in battle, are cheap to equip, have an added chance of criticals, and will make it much easier to get the golden claw since they can equip it on they way out of the pyramid. Sages won't be useful because it takes too long to level a character up toi 20 and then start over. Goof-offs are only useful to become sages so they are out Merchants are useless. So my party ideas are: Hero, Fighter, Pilgram, Wizard Hero, Pilgram, Wizard, Wizard Hero, Pilgram, Pilgram, Wizard The only problem with the all magic-user party combos will be orochi since that boss is very resistant to magic.

A quick question: could lag be reduced by placing p1 and p2 at the same spot all the time?
probably not, plus that would defeat the purpose of having a 2-player version. so we have figured out that about 1/2 the time lost is unavoidable but that there are definate improvements that are impossible. I still stand by my opinion but really hope an improved run is made.

I'm suprised by the lack of voting for this run... I think that the pacifist 1p run is getting exceedingly unecessary. I vote that this (or another) 2-player run replace it. I voted yes, though I suspect it is improvable. This run is certainly better than krieg's submission, though obviously slower than the 1p run. Watching it though I don't see where you lost 20 sec though. The hangar level had some lag moments that might be able to be reduced. The twitchy stuff was a little excessive, but not enough to warrant a no vote. Though I liked what you did just before the stage 5 boss, where it looked like on person lying down and one standing still. I encourage to do another attempt though and compare frames with the 1p version and see exactly where it is slower and try to find the cause. (It seems nobody has attempted this). I must say I like the choice of avoiding the spread gun, for me that created added interest (I really have no idea if it is faster/slower, my guess would be that it is equal).

Thank you everyone, your complements make it all worth it. Mart: unfortunately you have to watch the princess cut scene (I assure you a tested every possiblity and it is the only way to make them appear in the graveyard) Also, how humiliating that the ruler of all evil be taken out by a character that trips :) But I think my favorite moment is ragnar hitting himself for a critical hit and killing himself :) Spoonybard: you can imagine that I am pretty burned out on RPG's, but after a brief rest I will get on DW3 ;)

can 2 player run obsolete the currently published pacifist run, otherwise we would have 3 contra runs. That seems excessive.

YAY! An improved 2-player! I was sad that the other 2-player version was abondoned. I like this one, and while a 2-p should theoretically faster, lag will certainly slow it down. I will watch this as soon as a get a chance

I haven't given up on this run, I've actually had many set backs including a hard drive crash!. Fortunatetly I was able to retrieve my data on this run was saved. I lost about 1 week and a half on that. Also I have had several desynch problems causing me to redo chunks of the run. The good news is I have defeated all 4 guardians and I am on my way to necrosario :)

IMHO, the enemy avoiding is one of the places where it's good to trade a few frames for higher entertainment value. I found it to be hugely entertaining, especially with the flying guys. I hope this gets resurrected and improved, but I'm voting yes until then.
I liked it for the flying guys, but the second time you do it, it is not as good. And it is far more than a few frames. I would estimate you lose about 10 seconds from lag. I would say avoid the flying guys for a while buy then shoot a few to minimize lag. Then don't do it the 2nd time at all because it is less entertaining (esp since we have already seen you do something like that) and it has a tremendous amount of lag. Also several more improvement have been pointed out, I would say this run could be improved by 15-20 sec. This needds further improvement, voting no BTW, runs have been published when on easy mode when the only difference between the two modes are the number of hits it takes to kill a boss. In these cases, the extra hits only make the boss battle more boring so the easy mode it preferred.

excellent job! of course a yes vote comments: Good: -Getting wings from drops to save time from buying them -Using dragon point was restarting the quest was awsome. -I didn’t know you didn’t have to be facing a door for the key to work. -You put a woopin on Atlas! I remember that being a problem spot for you at one point. possible minor improvements: -Why give all the wings to ollisa? Isn’t that slightly slower than giving all or some of them to ! When you buy broad sword, eqiup it right away instead of having to stop to do so question: Were you able to manipulate the stats you got at level up? It seemed you got very few stat increases, just wondering if that was intentional.
