It isn't too late by any means. The award images are all dynamically linked. Meaning they can easily be traded out for new images.

This isn't an appropriate topic to discuss TASVideos budget issues. Take it elsewhere.

Bump for final vote. I voted for SOTN as I did with the initial vote. I truly think it stands out well above its competitors.

Bump for final vote. I voted Family Feud. I think it is the one that best fits the spirit of this category. Using tools to do something creative with a game often means aiming for fastest completion time. But there are many other ways of taking advantage of them, and this movie demonstrated that well. And most importantly, demonstrated that in a creative new way.

Bump for final vote. I voted for Shining Force. All Souls is an impressive feat with the random drops. However, Shining Force is the most brutal on that poor RNG. The luck manipulation done is off the carts.

Ok, for the final vote of NES TASer of the year, I had to go with HappyLee. It is a really tough vote as both of these TASer of impressed me greatly. But I know first hand the wrath of HappyLee from having been pwned by him when competing with Super Mario Bros. He's truly a creative TASer. Congrats.

Well, I'd say a WIP that is faster than yours would be fact that it can be improved... EDIT: Also, congrats on achieving your goals.

Is there a page where you can see how many of these points you (or someone else) has? I've looked around for a way to find out how many points I have, but without any luck. (I'd like to avoid calculating it myself)
Yeah, this would be very nice... I am not able to make something like this... but I've mentioned it quite a few times, and I think it's on the TODO list.
As many times as you have brought this up, I've brought up the fact that the page doesn't exist because it was lost in the site transfer. And currently I do not know how to recreate it. On top of that, it is low on the priority list. There is a stack of TODO items ahead of it.

As far as those people also getting promoted to other duties, the solution there needs to be do have a slash ranking. Judge / Expert Player. Such a system is on the TODO list.
So we're returning to "ninja, coder, admin" again? Truly, the history goes in circles. What exact purpose does this stuff serve?
Who said anything about Ninja? Admin and coder have always been apart of the site. When did they leave? The purpose of the clash rank would be to keep have both a site (staff) contribution indicator as well as the usual TAS contribution part of the rank.

Nominate my ass! If anything should have this tag it is this game. The whole game is a glitch. I added the tag (which is clearly an oversight). Also, this should have been mentioned in the thread.

I've been looking at rankings recently, and discovered that "Expert Player" is greatly underused.
Isn't that the point though? Few should have the highest ranking possible. As far as those people also getting promoted to other duties, the solution there needs to be do have a slash ranking. Judge / Expert Player. Such a system is on the TODO list.

Yes. Though that concept would make more sense if TASEdit were anywhere closer to being done.

I tend to look at it as more of the visual experience. That the run obviously relies on luck manipulation that a human in real time could never hope to achieve. This would be things like critical hits every attack, or a multitude of random item drops from enemies.

2) TASers, please quit trying to use new PPU. The old PPU is in there specifically for us.
What if the new PPU results in unreal bahaviors in other games, too? We'll make comparisons using Nestopia and Nintendulator as well?
We won't have to if you don't use new PPU to begin with.
