I would also support the creation of a "concept demo"/"TAS labs" section of the site for movies like this or the MM3/4/5/6 quad run that is expressly for experimentation and entertainment instead of simply beating a game as fast as possible.
Yes if only we had such a section. But alas! Anyway I enjoyed seeing old chukya in all his glory. Voted yes.

Here's a totally unrelated question: if (when) this gets published, do you think that the site should accept (quality) quadruns in general? Or is this a special case?
This site already has a precedence for publishing multi-game runs. In my opinion whatever criteria was used to accept dehacked's X+X2 entry should be applied to this run as well.

I dont get the movement in this game. If the glove can be magically floating in the air while dribbling how come he has to jump around like a dweeb while walking? Can he fly or not?

I am physically incapable of voting anything but yes on this one! I followed the WIPs and loved what I saw. Great job!

Wow jimsfriend... your first TAS demonstrates complete mastery of your target game. This run has no precedent, great job!

Wow you made this TAS as fast as possible and in record time! Great job! Voting yes for being faster than a published run.

OK. There is variability though on how hard you throw him and the distance he recoils from the explosion (at least i think so) Did you play around any with that? Maybe you can throw him lighter so he doesnt bounce as far away?

I really like what I see :) I have to wonder if there was anyway to toss bowser that third time so you can talk to him under where the star bounces. It might be worth it to hit another bomb or try throwing him lower down?

I play these movies on XBMC and that can handle AC3 fine.

They are talking about death for restock. I actually did this all the time when I played it on a console and so don't have a problem with it. I am also fine with restarting a level after beating it if it means having more optimal equipment the second time.

As a 24 year old American I never played SC2 and didnt know what was going on. Technically the route seems well planned (I know Bisqwit is a master of planning) but the only parts I found entertaining about the run were the few space battles. I'm looking forward to future of DOS runs but I have to vote Meh on this one.

My parents actually bought this game for me as a kid though I could never get past the third stage. I liked the dog boosting but the lag is kinda lame. Still entertaining so voted yes.

Wait.. You got this the other method has the potential to be faster if fully optimized. out of this? The new lost penguin strat is exactly the same frame count wise, but I'm convinced its slightly slower overall.

I dont know if I should be more impressed by your movie or your spreadsheet Anyway great work JXQ, as always. I think one of the hallmarks of your movies is the level of detail you are willing to get down to. Any plans on making an audio commentary for this :) Big fan of the OoT one. If you could mux it into an avi with the input animation that would have a fairly high level of kick-ass. Just have two audio streams :)

These seem really small when you consider that people can have names in unicode. I recommend around 256 bytes like in .m64

Something that I can do that scares people is to grasp my hands behind my back and bring them over my head to the front by twisting my elbows in.. its rather frightening.

Any game that integrates online features into the core game should be TAS-proof.

I always thought it said, "I am heading back to Corneria." ...was I missing something?
All I know is that I have never heard anything there. Is that the consensus? At different times I thought it might be "We are" or "Now we're".

Alright. This is an issue I have been wondering about for over a decade now. At the end of this run is the following dialogue:
Fox: Come in Corneria. Pepper: This is Corneria; Pepper speaking. Congratulations on a job well done. Fox: Roger, XXXX heading back to Corneria.
I have tried many times to deciepher what is said in that XXXX but, alas, never to any success. I have searched google for a more complete transcript but my efforts have always been in vain. Surely with all the expertise present on this board someone would have some insight into what said there. What do you all think is said there? Maybe one of you has better hearing than me.

Yes, the bug causes X to autofire the robot. I left the bug on X's head longer than necessary to try and show this, but I was wondering if someone would say "tons of missed shots, very sloppy". Judging from the spacing of X's shots when controlled by the bug, the autofire appears to be 1 shot per frame, beyond X's player-controlled ability.
I never knew this and had to check this out myself on the emulator :) The bugs can auto-fire either the x-buster, jumping, or dash. You can have many bugs on at once and so all three can be auto. Wiggling back and forwards 10 times causes the bug to detach. I guess the whole point of that first miniboss where you see in a cut scene the bug dramaticly break out of the capsule and control the robot was to introduce the concept to you for the later enemies.

If you want to see all the pics in the series Caacrinolas drew, its.. http://www.geocities.com/boco_xlvii/serie5.jpg Just change the 5 to anything 1 to 7.. they're a little too guro though. 5 is the only one I'd ever use for anything.
That series is wonderfully disturbing. It definitely takes some artistic skill to make removing skin with a potato peeler look fun.

The only remake worth doing is AlttP as the text scrolls faster, not sure about anything else though.
The resolution and sound in SNES LttP is better though. They did add a few cosmetic changes like Link yelling when he swings the sword and displaying dungeon names on entry. Also they simplified the Ice Palace puzzle. Other than that the main game is the same. There IS however a new dungeon in the pyramid with the dark world bosses that are extra hard plus a master boss. There is an NPC that blocks the way if you havent beaten Four Swords but Im sure he can be bypassed somehow (I was able to get around him by modifying the memory). You could probably use a bomb blast or something to get past him?

Heh so many spoiled kids here complaining about dated graphics. You would think this site would be more appreciative of vintage aesthetics. Did you also complain how the sprites in Super Mario Bros on the NES only have 4 colors each? If you want your HD, antialiased, bump mapped, volumetric textured graphics with spectral highlights and HDR illumination, just play a crappy XBOX 360 game based off some movie franchise.
