That looks great! And can you explain how you're jumping so high?
From my understanding, there's a 2 frame window after pressing jump where you can jump again for whatever reason, which can be repeated to stack upward speed. This is known as a superjump. However, you can only stack a maximum of 4 jumps before hitting the vertical speed limit and freezing in place until your vertical speed drops below the limit through gravity.

Big update: it seems all the lighting issues were fixed in Mesa 22.0-devel, and I was able to finish Sector 1! There's finally something to show now. Link to video

I found a workaround for the lighting issue: checking Tools > Fast-forward mode > Skipping all rendering and fast-forwarding past the part where lighting would cause a desync makes the TAS sync again on software mode. Which means the TAS can now progress past 1-4! (hopefully) Also, trying to load a savestate on libtas 1.4.1 crashes the game with a "segmentation fault" error. This does not happen on 1.4.0, so I'll stick with that version.

I should also mention that I tried game versions 1.63.9 (DRM-free) and 1.64.0 (the latest version on Steam). The game is also on Humble store, which should be a newer version, though I can't get it at the moment. Update: Finally got the game from Humble Store, and unfortunately, it's still 1.63.9, so the lighting issue is still relevant. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone. I tested the DRM-free Linux version of the game with libtas 1.4.0 on 64-bit Ubuntu 20.04, and it works great, I've even completed a few levels. However, there's an issue that affects the TAS where software rendering messes up the lighting, which is a core part of the gameplay. It works as intended with software rendering off, but then I can't use savestates. I tried running the game with software rendering outside of libtas, and the issue is still there. For example, here's what a part of 1-4 is supposed to look like: https://imgur.com/ng0WK8h.png And here's what it looks like with software rendering: https://imgur.com/EjolZBo.png
