Which is weird, because I managed to watch it on my Windows 7 laptop just fine. Didn't even have to mess around with the settings.

I liked this run a lot for many reasons (except the music...).)
The music in this game (at least in Arrange Mode) is really hit-and-miss. Songs like Bloody Tears sound really good and fit the game (not to mention it plays in a very fitting moment). Vampire Killer (in Arrange Mode) sounds like it'd be better suited in a disco than in such a game. And then there's....Wicked Child in Arrange Mode. Anyway, pretty nice run. Voting yes. EDIT: It's available on Nico Nico Douga: Link to video And it already has almost 20000 views there as of this writing.

Here's the IPS patch. (patch to the (JU) ROM) Anyway, the TAS was well made, but I found it a bit on the boring side. I vote Meh.

(Don't tell me that the goal was to unlock flip mode...)
I don't think the original intent was to unlock this mode, as all it does is flip the game vertically, so it's pretty cosmetic. The crew members being saved and saying post-completion dialogue proves that it did indeed reach a completion state, unlike the Pokémon glitched ending run. Now that this is clear for me, I can safely give my Yes vote, as it was well done. I was just a bit concerned about this issue.

Well, according to the game and the VVVVVV wiki, you need to complete the game to unlock Flip Mode. Though, I did notice all the crew members are saved. So....I guess this is a case of "game complete", save for a locked mode? I guess it's better to see what the others (and Masterjun) have to say on this particular issue.

Sorry if I have to put some vitriol to this submission, but I have one problem with it. VVVVVV has a mode that gets unlocked after you beat the game, namely Flip Mode. This is what you should see the first time you select "Start Game" right after you beat the game (restarting the game after the credits roll ("Thanks for playing!" message) shouldn't matter): (taken after watching [2368] Windows VVVVVV by Masterjun in 13:30.25) However, this message does not appear when you do the above after watching this submission (try for yourself, if you don't believe me). This also inevitably means that it isn't unlocked in the game modes. The same goes for the the cancelled submission, by the way. The trigger for Flip Mode to get unlocked is the "Game Complete" screen (where it shows the time taken, found trinkets, total deaths and where you died the most). The way I see it, it has pretty much the same issue as #3903: Masterjun & FractalFusion's GBC Pokémon: Red/Green/Blue/Yellow Version "glitched" in 01:10.47.

About a week ago, I've 1cc'd IN on Normal (FinalA) with Border Team. (replay in description) Following the 1cc, I captured Astronomical Entombing on Normal with the same team no-focus (basically, playing as Reimu). YouTube video (replay in description)

As Princess Pitch says after each stage: "Awesome." Because holy freaking wow, that it was. It was top quality from start to end. Yes vote.

Kopiapoa reached a score of 6,795,505,260 points in SA Lunatic with ReimuC. YouTube video In addition, there's a list of tool-assisted score records for all games right here.

I know that as of r79, nitsuja force-set the font used for Japanese locale to MS Gothic. Why is this a problem? Let's take Cave Story as an example. This is how the text normally looks like on a Japanese locale (doesn't matter if you use Applocale or set the locale to Japanese): Now, this is how the same text looks like in Hourglass r81 (latest by nitsuja, enforced Japanese locale): Of course, the text should look like in the former screenshot. Now, I don't know if this commit is easy to revert (as in, doesn't cause unexpected issues), but it only seems to affect font/text rendering, so it might.

Ha, I remember the real-life version airing on DSF (now Sport1, which is supposed to be a German sports channel) as Sports Bakka (the Japanese in their title card reads スポーツ バカ, mind you) in the title card) back in the early 2000's. Anyway, on the technical side, this was indeed really impressive. On the entertainment side, considering I watched the show way before this TAS, I have to say it was a tiny bit entertaining. Clearly, those weren't the intended methods to solve the stages. I'll have to give this a Meh.

I remember that I never liked how this TAS ended (as evidenced by this post of mine) (for the record, I still don't). For me, a movie should end as soon as you lose control of your character. Of course, exceptions can be made, if the end result is something funny (which is not the case in Rockman 4 MI to me, since it just looks out of place, though I was pretty much the only opponent to how it ended).

Au fait, je viens d'ajouter le lien vers l'épisode de Speed Game dans la page de publication. J'avais fait la même chose pour Braid, en juin.

The run looks a fair bit better now. However, I found the movie rather boring to watch. The music being absolutely terrible doesn't help either. Voting no entertainment-wise and Yes for Vault.

Of note that TasVG hosts illegal downloads of ROM files, and thus violates this site's rules. That said, I could download the movie file from there just fine. Should I upload it?

I hit 1 GB of RAM within maybe 30 seconds of having it open, and that's without a ROM loaded. My guess is that it's leaking memory like crazy.

That was a pretty good TAS, you might want to submit it for vault publication.
The movie starts from a savestate, not from power-on. Thus, it violates the rules, since it doesn't require installation.

SGB mode doesn't work at all in 1.4.1.
