Wow just watched the video... to speedrun a game in 3d like that, with analog controls and semi-complex button patterns, is just insane He made a few mistakes but they were minor and for the most part my jaw was dropping. Makes me wish they made an n64 emulator with re-records and slowdown/frame advance

Very awesome Too bad fights with computers would be very difficult with just frame advance and no re-records

Much like the game itself, the movie is a work of art. Kept me interested all the way through. I especially loved the autoscroll cloud level :)

Completely forgot about the desperation attacks, can't wait to see how these can be used effectively. Very nice :)

Some parts of that movie made me laugh, that was the buggiest movie ive ever seen. As far as entertainment value, a lot of sections were just moving through various bugged out rooms, and I didn't find it very exciting, though I did find it interesting. Personally, I wouldn't care to see this time-attacked, but thats just me.

I thought it was entertaining, because of the amount of perfection in the run. I never knew turns could be made like that. I voted yes because there has yet to be a time attack of any of the popular mode-7 effect racers on the snes, mainly f-zero or mario kart, because of the level of difficulty to make these types of movies. Not to mention any world record run of these games. My only gripe is, with this movie, a more entertaining stage with turns and crazy shortcut jumps would be more suited for time attack. This is one aspect the Top Gear movie uses, a hard track. I also agree, a grand prix may not be a world record, but it would be a world record for the grand prix, and more exciting. Another concern would be that multiple world record movies could just pile up, and if bunched into one movie it would be a movie with many authors. That would be kinda confusing I guess.

I think the rival car behind you beat the world record too... even though the top speed of that car means it wouldn't have been able to have been that close. Stupid f-zero AI.

Im suprised this hasn't been posted yet, unless I searched wrong. Sorry if it has. On these pages are the best of the best of super monkey ball 1/2 videos for ALL levels. I recommend you take a look, as some of these records are just amazing. SMB1 - http://server1.vortiginous.com/smb/smb1/ SMB2 - http://server1.vortiginous.com/smb/smb2/ The person with the most of the records is this guy called packattack. He must have alien-like reactions, and you'll know what im talking about when you see this guy in action. Just take a look at these two videos, especially the first. http://server1.vortiginous.com/smb/smb1/A11-packattack-35980.zip http://server1.vortiginous.com/smb/smb1/E09-packattack-26422.zip As for anyone who hasn't played this game, staying on the smallest path is INSANELY difficult. Some of these records look tool-assisted they are so good. edit: Also, here is a really good highlight reel that shows off some funny and amazing runs of the game done by someone called SmilingJack13. http://server1.vortiginous.com/smb/compilations/smilingjack13-highlightreel.zip

Man... if a whole circuit is done you will probably have more than 100,000 re-records. I find it insane than someone can do almost as good in 1 try at full speed. Makes me think he did something different you just might not be catching. What that is I don't know. Maybe someone at the f-zero forums would know, but something makes me think they wouldn't be too fond of time-attacking.

I like how the boss fights were more entertaining too, even if it didn't help save time. One of the most entertaining movies i've ever seen, even if I haven't beaten the game.

For me this game was fun for like... 5 hours playtime... I just enjoyed the fact that you could kill beggars. The avatar part was very tedious for me, and makes for a very unfun premise. Everything about this game just irrated me. I would like to see a time attack of this game because I hate it so much. I guess you can say I want someone to kick this game's ass.

Wow funny glitch, especially after the first sketch. With this you could possibly skip leveling up completely. Can't wait til you get back to doing the run.

I swear if you can get that much done in two hours, you really need to take a couple days off so we can see more :) How much of the exact item planning sequence have you made so far? Knowing this is a 100% run the fastest route is much more complicated than the any%. Have you got the basic outline for the major routes and then relying on trial and error for minor items like missle upgrades?

Man I never figured lufia2 could be gone through at such low levels. This rpg is more fun to watch(for me) than some other rpgs, because of the innovative ways the puzzles can be beaten so quickly. The exception is the entertainment value of an rpg like secret of mana or evermore, because of the live battle. Keep it up, I sure hope you can beat the rest of the game without leveling.

I am not sure what the mockball is, but the new method of running actually looks kind of cool. It is harder to notice other such modifications, though I noticed how when bombing the way to Kraid's lair after the Chozo Statue you actually back up then move in, to gain speed, which Mr. Teri didn't do. Can't wait for the rest...

That seems like a smart idea, as it wouldn't make sense to end up redoing it and then find another mistake that you would have caught if you have already went through the game once. It will also allow more feedback to where you can improve in the World of Ruin. Plus I personally want to see a finished run even if there are minor mistakes. Edit: Sorry.. *cough* the dark world.. I wasn't really thinking =P

Wow thats quite a task to take on... but it looks great. It will definitely be more entertaining with a 100% run.
