I'm considering buying a Laptop just for hourglass, because I can't get anything to work here on my Win 7 64 bits. Does hourglass work on a Laptop with Win XP 32 bits as well or must it be a Desktop Computer?
I had to use a VM to get hourglass to run properly since anything non XP makes loading savestates crash frequently for me. :/

Well, it spawned 3 video games, a Final Chapter movie, three OVAs (one original story and two summaries), and a music special along with a live action movie so I guess others enjoyed it. Anyways.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Tutu The focus of the characters trying to prevent the story from being a tragedy just humors me to no end. Especially the end when it was revealed that the writer managed to control the events all these years was by botting writing. That just cracked me up due to reasons unrelated to the anime.

TestDisk - Helped me a lot when I accidentally formatted my external drive and managed to recover almost everything with the original file names intact (with the exception of some misc pics, but whatever) CoreTemp - Let's me see the temperature of the processor. HxD - Hex editor which I frequently use to splice input files that lack TASedit support. PNGGauntlet - Compresses my png files for a certain fansite I contribute.

The "glitched" branch is generally used when an any% that does not use the particular glitch that totally breaks the game also exists. However if the non glitched branch does not exist yet, but would be entertaining if it did exist, then the "glitched" branch name should remain.
Why? Wouldn't the gltiched run be treated as an any%, and instead the glitchless run be labelled as a branch? Since the only reason why those would exist (assuming post vault rules) is because it was deemed entertaining enough to warrent a moon tier or higher, which can have other goals as long as it keeps the viewers going.

What makes this game (other than popularity) that should exempt it from other runs that counted?

Then would it be possible adding the FBA or MAME core?
Neither FBA nor MAME are Open source (yes, the source code is available, but neither is open source).
If FBA isn't open source, then how come this page tells otherwise: http://www.barryharris.me.uk/fba_license.php

Uh..... I managed to save a bunch of frames just by naming the character as "!". I also optimized the movement a bit. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/11337901572045807 http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/11429477875424534 http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/11830199170866748 It uses DeSmuME_0.9.10_x86, but I personally resynced everything for the previous revisions and can confirm the lag reduced from name change also works on the previous versions. Edit: Saved 1 frame at the hallway in the apartment. Edit2: Saved 4 more frames at the same hallway. >.>

How about this submission? http://tasvideos.org/1670M.html or this one? http://tasvideos.org/2113S.html The time is not counted for the verification since it's a separate file. We have a verification movie available, with this run: http://tasvideos.org/2464M.html
Except this run doesn't use a verification as a separate file, since it's atm part of the input file. The 2 movies you linked has a separate input file as verification.

The unlocking is not part of the real run.
How does that work? Didn't we had a submission that had a bunch of complaints about the unlocking part not being part of the time? Edit: http://tasvideos.org/Moons.html Unless time was wasted for entertainment purposes when unlocking tails, shouldn't that part still be judged? Edit 2: Regarding the run itself, despite the autoscrolling stages still being a dull, the character's expressions being emotionally dead, and the laughable voice acting, I was still entertained by this run. I really enjoyed the stage at 18:00, so yes vote.

The whole input file does not count.
In terms of Unlocking Tails + Levels or just the levels? So if a future run wasted an hour for no reason just to mess around before unlocking tails, but does everything afterwards faster, would the time be simply truncated? I actually thought if a future run were to try to obsolete this, they could also improve the unlocking tails part along with the levels themselves.

Because of that, I think that starting the time in reset would make it easier to compare to future runs. Also, the time of this TAS would be wrong anyway because it uses the VI number. Using the frame count (82441 frames), the time would be 22:54.02. If it started in reset (frame number 8967), the total frames of the run would be 73474, which gives a time of 20:24.57. So if you want the time WITH unlocking Tails part, the final time would be 22:54.02 and WITHOUT it, it would be 20:24.57.
Still, the whole input file must count or someone could deliberately do the tails unlocking part slower/suboptimally but the rest even faster and try to obsolete this run. :P

Well, that's what other people told me. I could either use a save file with Tails unlocked or unlock him before the TAS. So following this thought, unlocking Tails shouldn't count in the time of the TAS.
I'm not against unlocking tails during the TAS. In fact, if a run that uses a save file with tails already unlocked tried to obsolete this, the TASer would most likely have to prove that his/her run is indeed faster than this one for reasons other than using a save file. :P

IMPORTANT: Can someone please change the time of the TAS? It says the input number (without loading time) and it starts from power-on. As this is a TAS of a secondary character, I need to unlock him with Sonic, and then the time should start when I soft reset the game after unlocking Tails. This should be at the frame number 8967 (input 6690). From this frame, the time according to the frame number is 20:24.57. Thank you.
Why?? Why should the input before unlocking the character not count? If it's part of the input file, it should count that as well. Infact, isn't that like me just sit in a title screen of some RPG and wait for the rng to be better before starting and have all that waiting not part of the time?

Well, the image in the OP clearly shows that WebNations removed the video by himself, so why are we talking about potential copyright? I also mentioned his videos being 240p, so even if he's not removing the encodes, they need to be reuploaded to the TAS channel with better quality.

So, he doesn't want to leak it to prevent piracy? Uh....the fact that he's poking around the 3DS makes me believe he's probably abusing the heck of it before releasing it long after it has been patched (if ever).

That would be WebNations deleting it. Where it originally came from. Edit: I switched it to the provided encode in the submission, this will be temporary.
Speaking of WebNations, mind replacing his upload for movie 1117? The highest option for it is 240p and it looks terrible. :/

Well done on this run TheZZAZZGlitch. I agree with Mothrayas on the TASVideos workbench thread that there's room for improvement but I enjoyed the run. Something to note that Mothrayas didn't mention is that when you're cloning it's possible to reset earlier like after the Yes/No box disappears.
Uh....So, are you against this run being accepted or not? Your earlier posts seem to indicate you want this run published, but this post seems to give another reason why it shouldn't.

No. Just no. I'm very aware that a "perfect" TAS, especially for games like this, is nearly impossible (to achieve and to prove). So if a run has potential improvement, then I often won't let that affect my entertainment (too much) when I vote. But if said improvement was that noticeable even in real time, then something's not right, and imo, distracts the run quite a bit.

That, or because the whole game itself is already glitched. ;) Oh, and don't forget these glitchless/warpless movies.
