I don't even own a damn N64. I was like 5 then? Also, other people doing it doesn't mean we should. For example, with your brilliant logic, since there's 2 highly unpopular "Single Track" TASes submitted before, we should do it again!
BTW, with your last statement, who gives a damn. This isn't the Diddy Kong Racing Community. This is TASVideos, not DiddyKongRacingVideos.
Edit: Voted no. Problem, Toufool31?
Well, it depends. For example, MUGG's "PAL" version of SMB was unpopular (with near identical amounts of Yes/No votes). That, and it caused a shitstorm.
Why isn't there a verification movie? It shouldn't take that long, since it's not like it's an RPG or something.
Edit: Haven't voted btw since I haven't watched it yet.
I got a request. While the encode on MrGrunz's channel doesn't stop the movie for like 5 seconds just to show some ad, it would be nice to have an encode on TASVideos channel, since I'm some people are bothered by ads.
And no, I'm not requesting to remove MrGrunz's encode either. I meant having 2 links instead of how the 100% SM64 run doesn't.
It was just 4 inputs added, but I can try to see if I can edit in a memory card. The build that RachelB provided me though has a disc switch function, so I don't need a memory card now (although I would prefer to do a dtm per disc). The disc switch will make things easier for the encoder and those who playback.
In a real console, the memory card has to be in, right? If not, then it's ok. If so, then not using the memory card and still having it playback would kinda mean inaccurate emulation.
I don't really know, since I have the wii edition instead.
Well, what revision are you using? If it's a 3.0 revision, then maybe you should try 3.5 revisions despite the graphical problems since it may have the problem fixed, and if not, well, its supported, so a fix can be expected for 3.5 revisions instead of in 3.0.
Or, painstakingly hexedit everything.
Ok, finally read the sub text. I found this interesting:
Since I've started this run the game seems to have been gathering all his forces for this last epic battle against me. 2 things:
THIS CUTSCENE CAN'T BE SYNCHED!!!
A lot of lag is going on here, which can be manipulated by pure luck and nothing else. Pulling out the stick at frame 44469 instead of 44466 can make a difference of 200 frames, which is fucking much.
Now let's summarize: We have a cutscene that can be manipulated by random inputs to save 200 frames and can't be synched at the same time. BEST combination EVER. Not to mention that it took a good few hundreds attempts to finally realize it can't be synched. After each attempt I had to play the run back from the very beginning which takes ultra long with the framebuffer option enabled (used to skip the pause delay). Using this option my Mupen only runs at 30 frames, so it each playback takes years! I usually opened 4-5 Mupens at the same time, which all played back different attempts. Sam did so as well. After around 4 days of attempts we finally got a cutscene that synched and was way faster than everything we ever got before. At least the work was worth it. 1,5 seconds have been saved here over Swordless.
I got a question. What took so long to make a ps3 emulator other than lack of motivation? I mean, the Wii had dolphin for quite some time already, so why this took that long? Is it hard to emulate?
Remember the chapter 6 clipping glitch? Well, I found ~4 more places you can clip, but only the one used in the run matter. All of them are in chapter 6. 1 of them in a washroom, and the rest all relate to wheelchairs. I still can't go OoB though, but I'll try and find one that can.
And no, I'm only up to chapter 4 still, just playing around atm finding stuff.
Nice! Btw, I'm not sure how SRL works, but does it time the video live? Or did that timer on the left was added later?
If the former, how'd they time it?
