This isn't DKR community, this is the TAS community. Yes it is, and I'm fucking glad im not a part of it. You all seem like a bunch of fun killing 30 year olds who can't even give me an explanation on why you voted no, even though i gave several valid reasons why it should be.
Yet you joined. Nice logic. What's next? Are you going to DDOS your favourite site?

That was a thoughtful and stimulating post jlun. DS Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (USA) in 03:42.93 by jlun2. This game uses save corruption to beat the game in a few minutes, so nobody can use the arguement that the DKR run is not entertaining enough to be accepted.
That run's save file was created in the TAS, not outside of it. Before you mislead people, here's an insightful quote:

Found it: http://tasvideos.org/MovieRules.html#UseTheCorrectVersion
Due to the lower frame rate (50 Hz) and the fact that games are usually not modified in order to compensate for this, PAL versions of ROMs are generally not preferred, unless there are significant technical and/or entertainment merits to using this version. See Rygar and Blaster Master for examples of good usage of the PAL ROM.
Is the only difference in speed? No other glitches or anything? Btw, what language is the NTSC version of the game if there's no (U) version?

Do you people even play this game? Listen, I've played this game for 7 years and you guys are all acting like you know everything. Here's the deal, first of all, this game has had a newgame + category for YEARS. SpeedDemosArchive has had a run up for NG+ and NG for over 6 years by Mahrla. 0xwas and I have done several several NG+ runs w/ T.T. This is no different, do your research before you people say there is no such thing as it. Second, we have 3 new main categories that are ALL NG+, defined by our community of 0xwas, Saltcure, Cfox7, Malkieriking, Faschz(Wrong Warp Finder). These are Any% Wrong Warp, Any% No Wrong Warp, and 100%. All of these main categories use T.T. About the wrong warp: Heres the basics of the wrong warp you idiots obviously don't understand. Tracks mode has it's own overworld(getting their via the wrong warp). The Tracks Mode overworld is in connection with the highest progress file and your most recent file. Tracks Mode Overworld will always be your most recent file with the graphics of Tracks Mode, and those graphics are based on the highest progress file. So, having a 47 balloon file and starting a new game, the Tracks Mode Overworld will be THE NEW FILE with with the FUTURE FUNLAND TOWER GONE. Also, how is this not different from getting 6 banana fairies to be able to FWG in DK64? ITS THE SAME PROCESS Again, the WHOLE DIDDY KONG RACING COMMUNITY agrees with this. So, I hope you understand my position.
I don't even own a damn N64. I was like 5 then? Also, other people doing it doesn't mean we should. For example, with your brilliant logic, since there's 2 highly unpopular "Single Track" TASes submitted before, we should do it again! BTW, with your last statement, who gives a damn. This isn't the Diddy Kong Racing Community. This is TASVideos, not DiddyKongRacingVideos. Edit: Voted no. Problem, Toufool31?

Well, it depends. For example, MUGG's "PAL" version of SMB was unpopular (with near identical amounts of Yes/No votes). That, and it caused a shitstorm.

Why isn't there a verification movie? It shouldn't take that long, since it's not like it's an RPG or something. Edit: Haven't voted btw since I haven't watched it yet.

Yeah, more or less. I think the goal I used makes sure the run is not too repetitive and is something nice to achieve. Going further is just 'more of the same'. It's not exactly the same though, e.g. challenging stage 2 is different than 1. But going further would make it boring, IMHO.
When does it repeat? Also, how different is stage 2 compared to 1? (I've never played this game before).

I got a request. While the encode on MrGrunz's channel doesn't stop the movie for like 5 seconds just to show some ad, it would be nice to have an encode on TASVideos channel, since I'm some people are bothered by ads. And no, I'm not requesting to remove MrGrunz's encode either. I meant having 2 links instead of how the 100% SM64 run doesn't.

There aren't any. The spam filter is only applied to new lurkers, so regular members have nothing to worry about.
So, no protection from people who got hacked/decided to troll?

Complete the game as fast as possible not fully true, because I have to manipulate to get good cards!
So...is it a playaround, or did you mean that time was lost in luck manip?

There's a hack for this, though it may be already implemented in the main branch of Dolphin.

It was just 4 inputs added, but I can try to see if I can edit in a memory card. The build that RachelB provided me though has a disc switch function, so I don't need a memory card now (although I would prefer to do a dtm per disc). The disc switch will make things easier for the encoder and those who playback.
In a real console, the memory card has to be in, right? If not, then it's ok. If so, then not using the memory card and still having it playback would kinda mean inaccurate emulation. I don't really know, since I have the wii edition instead.

EDIT: I added 4 inputs (8 frames) and it synced completely. Thanks RachelB for the new version. I guess I'll be using the 386 build you provided.
Before you continue, did you hex edit it to include the memory card this time? Or was the hex edit literally adding 4 frames?

Well, what revision are you using? If it's a 3.0 revision, then maybe you should try 3.5 revisions despite the graphical problems since it may have the problem fixed, and if not, well, its supported, so a fix can be expected for 3.5 revisions instead of in 3.0. Or, painstakingly hexedit everything.

Ok, finally read the sub text. I found this interesting:
Since I've started this run the game seems to have been gathering all his forces for this last epic battle against me. 2 things: THIS CUTSCENE CAN'T BE SYNCHED!!! A lot of lag is going on here, which can be manipulated by pure luck and nothing else. Pulling out the stick at frame 44469 instead of 44466 can make a difference of 200 frames, which is fucking much. Now let's summarize: We have a cutscene that can be manipulated by random inputs to save 200 frames and can't be synched at the same time. BEST combination EVER. Not to mention that it took a good few hundreds attempts to finally realize it can't be synched. After each attempt I had to play the run back from the very beginning which takes ultra long with the framebuffer option enabled (used to skip the pause delay). Using this option my Mupen only runs at 30 frames, so it each playback takes years! I usually opened 4-5 Mupens at the same time, which all played back different attempts. Sam did so as well. After around 4 days of attempts we finally got a cutscene that synched and was way faster than everything we ever got before. At least the work was worth it. 1,5 seconds have been saved here over Swordless.
Yet another reason Mupen sucks.

I got a question. What took so long to make a ps3 emulator other than lack of motivation? I mean, the Wii had dolphin for quite some time already, so why this took that long? Is it hard to emulate?

Remember the chapter 6 clipping glitch? Well, I found ~4 more places you can clip, but only the one used in the run matter. All of them are in chapter 6. 1 of them in a washroom, and the rest all relate to wheelchairs. I still can't go OoB though, but I'll try and find one that can. And no, I'm only up to chapter 4 still, just playing around atm finding stuff.

Nice! Btw, I'm not sure how SRL works, but does it time the video live? Or did that timer on the left was added later? If the former, how'd they time it?
