Just did a little test TAS of how good I am at TASing this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAsv-W3XKd8 This was just to test my skills not a WIP. But I might pick it up later.

Sorry for the double post. Just an update for people to ponder about. I got to the first round of the E4 with Blastoise lvl 55 I think? In the end he was 59. Then doing the Sevii Island quest, I only leveled up 3 times. So I go fight E4 a second time with my level 62. Blastoise!! The E4 is eassssssssyyy!!! One X-item and then crit hit them all. Your Rival, however, is all in your face and he thinks he's all gangsta, word, dawg, etc. He will take the most luck manipulation. Luckily, he starts out with Heracross and abuses Megahorn (which has 80% acc.). Two x-Items, then you crit hit all of Rival's pkmn. End :EDIT - 10/19: Forget what I said before. After rethinking it, Lucky egg would be faster. By a couple seconds I think, but still faster!! Though, getting a lucky egg without using action replay codes is a pain. :P
Don't Chanseys have a chance of holding a lucky egg?

How do I make it so the clock only runs when I'm playing. I wouldn't mind so much but technically running the game would be a single segment. Does the real time clock option do that? I had the problem before I turned it on but it doesn't sound like it will fix it, since I don't want a real time clock...
If it's a real time, segmented speedrun you could always reset the game's clock.

VBA20 is not recommended due to desync problems. You should use VBA 19 instead.
I know it desyncs, I learned that the hard way, but if it works fine on VBA 20 we could look into both versions of VBA, figure out the problem and fix it.

I tested this game once, and there's some left/right glitch with the barrels (I think) that makes you stand in midair. But I don't know if it can be of use.
I wonder if it will work on VBA 20? BTW, I figured out that getting a gold DK medal on time attack raises percents.

I love how the concept of 100% has become increasingly meaningless as the DK series has progressed.
Yeah me too. Just a few minutes ago I somehow got up to 148% while playing the game so I'm assuming there's more than 145%. Edit: Heres a preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd4N-xkNEwk

I recently beat this game with the maximum percentage 145%. These percents include: -Beating "Adventure" with all DK Medals and Crystal coconuts. -Beating all 15 "Single Player Jungle Jam" events and get Gold DK medals on all of them. -Beat "Diddy Mode" with all DK medals.

There's a problem with the roms, or maybe it's an emulator issue. Nonetheless it seems like it would make a good TAS.

Well, to be honest, I haven't even used the emulator since my last post! I might have started a TAS if other people were interested (ie. had replied to my last post), but it seems that isn't the case. Anyway, I may possibly renew my interest in TASing at the end of the year when I'm on my long university break... but I don't think I should make any promises...
People get interested once you start posting WIPs, if they're good enough one of the regulars could even encode an AVI or MKV and thereby attract more interest.

DKL2 & 3 look like a port (since it has the same bosses & worlds), but DKL1 has new worlds and new bosses except K. Rool (but he has a diving attack or something now)
DKL3 doesn't have Belcha. Instead they replaced him with Barbos and instead of Barbos's barrier its called Barbos Bastion. DKL2 is more of a port than DKL3. Except for the 2nd and 3rd worlds are combined into 1 world called Krem Kauldron. They also got rid of kludgel. In addition theres only 1 lost world with all the levels and it requires 47 kremcoins (the games max amount).

You can skip the full 3 minute intro at the begining on the Japenese Version.

I found a way to skip that guy who follows you and starts a fight in the arcade: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/368746462/skiptheguy.smv Oh and btw, it probably will say your rom is a mismatch but it works on all rom versions. (Except Mother 2)

Is double jumping faster ? Or does it takes more time to perform because you do it a lot of time where it isn't necessary.
Double jumping only requires jumping near an enemy, and I can't imagine it slowing down the character at all. Probably just to show off. But yes, I noticed those mistakes too. Would something like this even be accepted?
Well I did have mistakes but have improved them. I'll be gone for the next 2 weeks tomorrow so I won't be here then.

I actually did make a TAS of the First Level like 3 or 4 months ago. I stopped because it was getting to be a boring game to TAS. This Game also seems alot like sleepwalker.

Probably Not
Meaning it's very hard to do? Or you don't know what causes it and haven't tested the other ladders for the same effect?
There has to be ALOT of solid ground around the ladder.

I did watch it, it was just as boring as the previous submissions. This game in a nutshell: Run slow, shoot, run slow, shoot, jump awkwardly, run slow, shoot some more, jump awkwardly. Repeat for 6 minutes. If the previous movies had been rejected for being unoptimized, I wouldn't fault you for submitting again. But they were rejected for it being a bad game to TAS, as was explained twice. So how you can claim that I "don't have a reason within the movie to vote no" absolutely baffles me.
Oh sorry I thought you hadn't watched it.
