I don't know, but I watched this in 50Hz and it looked great.

Well does it work if you apply the patch to anything else?

I found it to be not so fun. I really wanted to like it, but it was just so annoying. And I've played a lot of games that other people say are annoying. I agree, hacks have this tendency. Maybe it's because hack authors don't like to submit their work to others for feedback.

Big yes vote because I believe this needs to be published for future generations.

This took my breath away for the entire duration. TAS of the year material. Words can't do justice to the glowing review that this presentation deserves.

It would be interesting to see a TAS of this. I thought that the author considered this project to still be incomplete.

odd shooter
Quite.
published by Sony
What!?
it is of course best to be as high as possible
Absolutely!
enjoy
I did!! I vote yes because it is an interesting and strange game and the TAS shows it off in about a minute. Not sure why people have voted no.

Cosmic Avenger for ColecoVision might be interesting. It's also an arcade game.

Pretty good game for its time, and the TAS is entertaining for people who can appreciate this basic idea. Your description is great, as well. This submission is the soul of TASing. Yes vote.

How about allowing the use of a glitch to activate the final form of Spekkio?

Yeah, this definitely deserves a yes vote. It is far too astounding for anything else. Great work, and, thanks!

Saturn, you decided on a scheme of goals that result in a TAS that does a great job of showing off this game. I appreciate it, and many other people will too. Thank you.

Many many MANY years ago I did it a fourth way - by crouching and uncrouching with near-perfect timing.

You can say that again, it's really well done. The part where Gambit dances to the music, the one I mentioned in my previous post, is simply one of the best ever made in my opinion.
Say it a third time, even. OK. So this TAS was very entertaining for me. I am a huge fan of Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, even though it is a game that caused me lots of pain as a youth. Any kind of TAS or speedrun of a Battletoads game is cool to watch, and I've seen a number of them already, which is why it is somewhat surprising how this TAS makes such a big impression. Thanks for combining technical and entertainment skill into a great TAS for a great game. Looking forward to seeing more.

It's a nice-looking game, and the levels and extensive ASM modifications are certainly a reasonable basis for a tool-assisted demonstration. I think a TAS of this could be good.

It apparently only works properly on ZSNES so it might not work well when run on a more standard re-recording emulator.

I was wondering why I didn't recognize it, because I have heard the Mega Man 8 soundtrack many times. Then I realized that is an ampersand, not an 8. Totally different game.

Not only is this the best NES game in the world, but this TAS makes it seem like a Special Edition. Yes vote.

mklip2001, you said just what I wanted to say. This run is awesome because it's Ultima III, it's technically outstanding, and it completes a long and difficult RPG in less than a couple dozen minutes. And more. Unfortunately, it requires patience to watch it when it doesn't have the subtitles. Fortunately, the subtitles are very well-written and cleverly help this run hold the viewer's attention. I never will forget the experience of playing this game the legitimate way. Watching this run+subtitles is so good. It's almost enough to make me consider playing it again.
