If you're a woman: hooker. If you're a good looking guy with at least a little class: high priced escort for old, rich, bitter women. If you're neither of these, try selling drugs* *no, these are not particularly serious, but they still work.

Excellent work guys! A couple small nitpicks, but the overall purpose of the video comes across really well, and shows a good amount of variety. Embedding on the main page is a good idea, but to get further exposure you could digg it (or one of the other hundred sites like it). Or have people link it on their mybook/facespace pages; I'll probably do that later today.

Almost any platformer published in 2005 would probably be a good challenge, but certainly doable. And the best part is, you have a good reference movie already to compare your movie to.

Not from what I remember. There are upgrades, but they are mostly forced, and there's no real form of currency. Almost all racing games would fall into this category, but Ill just mention Road Rash in particular, since it's sweet.

In case you haven't followed the news, I haven't exactly been active at the site administration lately ― that also applies to moderator stuff.
I find it surprising that you would rather critcize others for not doing a job you're just as able to do yourself. And if you really want to be as inactive as you say, then just lock this thread and let others start a new inane religion topic in it's place.

Since I decided to set this back to new, having not realized that there was a Kirbys Avalanche run already published, does anyone see a reason to publish this also? From what I can see, the gameplay between the two is identical.

Yes, but it's menu based. I'm sure there are ways to map them to hotkeys, though.

*sigh* Publishing a movie is when it appears on the front page, here: http://tasvideos.org/ Using microstorage is simply uploading a file. And how long of an .smv file is it for it to take up 2mb? I don't know if I've ever seen one that large, at least not under 2 hours.

Microstorage is not officially a part of the site, it is a script hosted by DeHackEd for our convenience. It also does not currently accept all file formats either, so that may be your problem.

I'm having trouble thinking of a more boring screenshot... I'm sure there has to be one, but damn... the current one will be tough to beat.

Generally you should provide more details regarding the actual run, as opposed to every emulator setting. For example, how is this movie different from this one?: http://tasvideos.org/2308S.html

I just say one thing, analyze it and play it if you have doubts.. I don´t agree the guy who say "I´m vote NO ´cause I´ll do it faster".. So, do it.
It's already been done. Here is a link of the previously mentioned run by daibakusho_curry, which completes the game approximately 3000 frames faster than this one. Please note that this .gmv does not end input until after the credits, which takes another 25k frames.

Once again the author has simply copied previous submission text and used it as his own. I'm tempted to reject this immediately, as it appears that the author is just continuing his previously unacceptable actions. However, Im not at my computer at the moment, so this will get a few hours on the workbench to see if it is a "real" submission.

weak yes vote the game is well payed BUT it's a exact copy of the puyo² II submision (so exact that i wonder if it's possible to make a single movie that could complete both games ?) also, if both games gets accepted, should we publish all the puyo's spin off ?
Anyone more familiar with these games care to comment on this?

Anyone else care to comment on this run? It's pretty long for a gameboy game, with several weak yes votes so far, so some additional feedback would be appreciated.

Do you perhaps mean 'submit' your movie? Because you aren't allowed to publish anything on the site, see [http://tasvideos.org/Users.html] here for more info[/url].

Some people are of the opinion that because this is a relatively simple game (in terms of movement), that it would not be particularly difficult to replicate these results in real time. A TAS that can be replicated in real time is certainly not extraordinary.

I'm not sure whose idea it was to ever publish this game. But as this run is a better version of the previous accepted version, I'll vote yes for improvements. I'm sure it's more fun to play.
This run does not have a currently published movie, the time comparisons were in regard to a previous submission. Also, I was curious: If this game moves so incredibly slowly (i.e. 400% is still a watchable speed), then how is this TAS different from normal play? Luck manipulation? Or could someone, with some practice, achieve these same results? Note that I haven't watched it yet.
