Why, yes, I'd certainly like to see a TAS of VVVVVV, despite its simplicity. I wonder how much TAS-relevant stuff will be found. I'd also like to suggest an all tokens runs, while I'm at it.

Quite frankly, I'm blown away. I don't know half of those new tricks in there, and the execution of those was stunning. Please, do keep it up.

I saw from google that you guys redid from 3-3 (skeleton duplication trick). Did you managed to splice in the rest of the segment?
Nope. arukAdo's been redoing the movie from that point.

As much as I enjoyed watching the TAS, it's clear how unoptimized the run is. The author (or authors, I don't even know) didn't seem to be very familiar with the game as he did optional missions, but skipped phone missions for some arbitrary reason. Still, it's a nice appetizer for how mindblowing an optimized TAS will be.

Y'know, all of the sudden, a goddamn saucepan jumped on my head and doesn't want to detach itself. I'm scared now ._. "Flurret: If it becomes a massive fad, I'll regret it xD"

Hello everybody. A half year passed since my last Rockman & Forte run. And, I decided to make my 100CDs run. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1281969929/100CD%20dynamo%20375bolts.smv 863 frames saved so far, instead 145bolts and 1CD lost. (I'm gonna pick up this CD later.) Perhaps, this run will save over 1 minute if it comes up to my expectation.
Wow, that was good. My favorite moment so far would ahve to be the way you finish the Astroman battle. Please, do keep us updated.

Oh Christ alrightey, what happened here? Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any use in the actual run, so I'm posting it here because it's too good not to share.

Am I the only one who thinks a pink Bass looks even more laughable than a Megaman of the same color? Anyway, great work, diggi, so far, Pump Man seems to be the most substantially different stage from the normal run.

I should probably mention that arukAdo and I are improving the old run (starting off from a WIP of Cardboard and Bablo). You can check the log here, new WIPs should be uploaded frequently. Direct downloads of files can be found here.

Watched the encode, and I am very pleased. It's the same kind of awesome carnage as usual and I like that. Yes vote.

this is my speedrun of the game. i wont submit to tasvideos, because the record is 5 seconds faster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIwCASb9rgw
Welcome to TASvideos, mate. Admirable restraint by not submitting this, you don't always see that :P You can just let the emulator dump an avi for you. That makes it look better and sound's included then. The run's pretty good overall, but it could be optimized a bit better. There also are a few tricks you could do, such as going through walls and the related flagpole glitch.

How will that differ from [1035] SNES Super Mario All-Stars: Super Mario Bros. 3 "playaround" by Genisto in 1:06:46.28? I think it's fine as it is, fastest run without warps. The only stipulation is to not use the whistle, and beating every level isn't part of that.
You'd be surprised how much stuff the glitchfest didn't show. Most of it, I assume, has been fixed through localization, various PRG releases and the transition to the SNES, but we may just have a gold mine to discover there. Confer to this video, for example

I think the run may as well be a playaround then. It won't be the fastest run and, seeing how the game has so many glitches (as demonstrated by those japanese videos), we may as well do that.

So, I watched it, and the run certainly didn't disappoint. I really liked your general movement. For some reason, hearing little X yell out "Hah-Huh-Haw-Hah-Huh-Haw" all the time was hillarious. Great run, came together beautifully, yes vote.

That's not a bad idea overall. I only think it should be worded in a way that's easy to machine-translate.

'lo and welcome, MuffinRobot, to tasvideos, enjoy your stay! Couldn't exactly tell you what game to TAS first, though my recommendation would be Super Mario Bros. It's a neat a simple game great for learning some of the concepts of TASing. It also has some very optimized runs that serve as a base and is thus, very well documented. There are other games in its mold, but I think SMB has the best blend to it. So, have fun.

A Starman from Earthbound I traced from an ingame sprite eons ago with Flash. I like it, obviously. <- My old avatar, for I've since replaced it. My current avatar is a picture of Pinkie Pie, which I traced much the same way. Current avatar is Fluttershy from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. With sunglasses. (Image link) Lynne, A Targeted Redhead, from Ghost Trick. Sunglasses. (Image link) This is my current set of avatars. I plan to expand it as I think of more characters to add. See if you begin to spot a theme: <A bunch of dead links> From left to right: - Lynne, from Ghost Trick - Fluttershy, from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - XJ9, from My Life as a Teenage Robot - Mabel Pines, from Gravity Falls - Roll, from Mega Man - Shantae
