Not really since the GBA and GB cores are completely different, but still odd. I really should test a lot more before I release versions. I only tested with Wario Ware(GBA) and PocketBomerman(GB) This will be fixed soon. Sorry bout sucking

That could be your problem then Bag of Magic Food Ctrl + s/l do load and save the game, but not save states. To use save states the shortcut is shift F1-F10 and to load the state just hit whichever button state you want to load eg. F1 - F10. umm I hope that made some sense :) Shanedudddy2

Hmm I had no problem playing back movies which are recorded in the emulator, my guess would be that the movie your playing back was not created in the Alpha 2, as the readme said I changed the file format so it could be easily hex-edited. The sound does sound a bit echoed but should go away if you change the option emulate->syncronize to unticked. I will look into the sound in frame advance and you can expect it too be fixed in the next release Shanedudddy2

I just thought I`d write to say that Alpha 2 is ready. All I need someone to host it as I`m on the worst connection ever :) Okay a list of features: Alpha 2: -Throttle work wonderfully so does the +/- to toggle the throttle by ammounts of 5% -Next frame now works on gameboy games. Improvements / Bug fixes: - Added the much wanted Record from restart option. - Changed the movie format to "*.vbv" to stand for visual boy video. - Changed the movie format to become easier to hex-edit. Every four bytes now correspond to a frame. - Fixed the odd sound bug in mario land. - Removed the need for Temp file. Any game bugs or any problems please post in this forum or email me and I`ll fix ASAP. Shanedudddy2

Could u please name the names of these roms which so call desync, I can't work on it if I don't know which roms are the problem?!? Me and Volkov and Phreak97 had the same problem with Pokemon gold till I fixed it.

Thanx for the suggestion but that becomes incredibly hard. Either it would mean large movie files or compression. I don't believe the movie system needs to be changed except the file format as volkov suggested For gba that requires two bytes for each frame for a 20 min movie that equals around 8.6MB which is many times larger than the current alternative.

I`ll work on this a bit today The movie format is not as complex as it initialy looks (theres no compression involved) The first four btyes in any movie are 01 00 00 00(if I remember) Then after that you would have the next four btyes how many frames to wait before the next action commences. eg( 100 frames would look like 00 00 00 64). The next four bytes are too hard to explain in a forum, but basically just tell the emulator what buttons to hold until the next frame. when you stop the emulator the last frame and buttons held are recorded. So a video of someone recording a button tap of up then stopping the video would be: 4 bytes(initial) + 8 bytes(tap up) + 8 bytes(stopping the video). So the video would be 20 bytes in total. I hope this cleared some things up and hopefully not confused you more! :)

I`m yeah I`m the coder for this update. I thought it was bought time I posted lol. First off the reason why the emulator emulates gba games differently to gb games is due to the fact it uses two different emulations cores. It originaly only emulated gba games but then forgotten decided to combine visualboy with visualboy advance. I will try to make the gameboy emulation as close as possible to the gameboy advance emulation(with frame advance working and so on). Thnx for the compliments or more commonly at this stage complaints
