--fceu-0.98.12-blip --no warps or passwords --no glitches abused --no hits or deaths taken --aims for beating the game as fast as can
Magik is threatening the universe and it can only be stopped with a cosmic device The only one who can recover this device is the Silver Surfer who is summoned by Galactus to complete the task. The Surfer has to travel through 6 levels and beat the rulers of those levels in order to obtain the cosmic device.
This is klnown as one the hardest games of all time. I did this in real time without any slowing the game down. Turbo fire doesn't work in this game so I had to take breaks from my arm getting tired from tapping so much.

I reject this movie because

  • It looks suboptimal.
  • It looks boring.

Why did you not use slowdown? Because of this, your movie no doubt contains many errors. Even if this shows lots of skill because you did it in real time, we don't care. We care about the final result, not the process by which you got to it. No movie will ever be accpeted here that does not utilize slowdown.

OK, I haven't watched the movie, but generally we don't accept movies without slowdown. It's really impossible to get the kind of quality we expect here with such a limitation... -Josh
but then you take my 75 perchance chance of winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and then add 66 and two-thirds ch...percents...i got a 141 and two-thirds chance of winning at sacrifice

We don't need 100 movies, we need excellent movies.
Slowdown alone isn't anything that speaks for a not so perfect movie. Under 2000 rerecords for 30 minutes is not very much, especially if played in realtime...

That applies to published movies, yes. I don't see anything wrong with him showing off a run though. However, for runs like this you shouldn't submit the run, but rather link to it from some other part in the forums.

this, one of the worst ever made nes games...is also one of the few american developed games on nes...heh...I am not even going to vote on this one since I hate the game completely...not because of its challenge...just because its very boring and not fun at all...It truly gives the silver surfer a bad name...But, try your hand at a more decent shooter or nes game...and, I will definitely have a look-see...

Yeah, there's a ton that could be improved on this. I remember renting this game way back when I was little. It IS pretty damn hard when you get right down to it. Trouble is, it's also really damn BORING. First - Use slowdown. There's no reason not to. Second - Stop firing all the time. You're shooting constantly, even when there's nothing on-screen to kill. Third - Generic shooter rule here: either shoot -everything- and never miss... or don't fire at all and avoid everything. The only time you should shoot is to open the way in tight passages where you CAN'T avoid enemies and at the end of the stage to kill the boss. A little work and the game could definitely be improved. Sadly, though, no matter how good you make it, SS is still a pretty boring game in and of itself.
