It would be a great feature to have the option to use a PNG image overlay. That could be a little PNG image of any size, which gets tiled all over the screen, so the user can easily make his own scanlines/effects. It should accept any PNG resolution, and simply get the PNG and tile it all over the screen. MAME already has something similar. the idea is that, with a 4x4 pixel PNG, we can simulate the dot-matrix screen on a 4x-zoomed GB game: or make a 3x3 pixel PNG for using with 3x zoom: Of course, this could also be used to make different scanline effects, it all depends on the PNG you choose.
