feos: Hi Nico30620 and welcome to TASVideos!
As was shown in this submission's thread, you would need to put more effort into your TASes to see them published here. Posting them on forums for discussion, and working with other members on improving them really helps here.
I'm rejecting this run for sub-optimality. Better luck next time!

I've added a quick encode to the submission text. By the way, the author is French-speaking, which I assume is why he/she didn't write out a submission text. Nico30620, you could have ended this run on this frame and saved 1671 frames, or about 28 seconds. Would you like me to replace the movie file for you? (I don't expect him/her to understand me. If he/she doesn't, would a French-speaking member mind translating my previous paragraph? Or should I just replace the movie file anyway?)

191 seems like a pretty low re-record count (approximately 1 per 2 seconds).

And yeah, rerecord seems a bit low, and I was kinda wondering why he's shooting when there's nothing to be shot at, I was expecting something more of a shoot-em-up (only fire when needed). Still, short enough and cool.

Thanks Rayas! I was wondering about the missed shots too. It doesn't hurt the entertainment value too much for me either, though I hope it doesn't waste any time (too many objects on screen seem to slow down the game).

Meh. Obvious improvement: Attack and miss as often as feasible and only ever kill enemies that would cause lag. Getting that Total Hit Ratio as low as possible to minimize the bonus countdown should definitely be a goal in this run.

I was planning on trying my hand at TASing with this game a while ago, but I decided that I probably wouldn't do a good enough job, haha (I was going to push for a 100% kills category for entertainment as well, and wasn't sure how well that would be received.) But even with the small amount that I did, I can see lots of improvements to this run, One of the main things is that moving diagonally slows you down, and there's lots of unnecessary side-to-side movement, etc.

c-square: I understand that getting a low Total Hit Ratio would lower the total time, but I also think it would look sloppy. If this were a game that managed an in-game time, I'd recommend aiming for lowest in-game time as a goal, but that isn't the case. I'd either suggest getting perfect accuracy or missing a lot to deliberately lower the hit rate, but right now we have something in the middle which looks bad. Perhaps the missed shots are for luck manipulation to control enemy spawns? The author isn't saying anything about this. I voted Meh for entertainment, but I suspect there's a lot of improvement possible with this movie. Lag reduction looks badly done, for instance.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Maybe. I kinda picture, in a screen full of enemies, shots flying in every direction but hitting nobody. Sometimes it can look more impressive to miss everything than it does to hit.

Good point. I could see a case being made for either (a) lots of inaccuracy, or (b) lots of accuracy. There isn't really a middle ground.

The real challenges in this game, as I think I should've been posted before,.. are: 1- getting a lower hit ratio without looking like a random shooter; 2- not getting the red scroll, ever; 3- not using invisibility on level 7 (the horses); 4- leaving flaming enemies on screen at least once; 5- using stoping glitched shots so you don't have to move back; (and using the glitched walk too, at least a little) 6- killing all bosses in 8 frames each; 7- letting circling enemies around you on the last 2 levels. That's what I think, but if you ask other The Ninja players, you'll get that these should be the challenging points. So.... why didn't he look at my more-than-1-minute-faster WIP? o_o Voting Strong No due to not beating all existing records and (as mklip2001 said) looking sloppy. EDIT: for The Ninja, if the boss music starts playing, you're already behind WR. =P
