PS2 TASing is very glitchy at moment, but when it will not ever be, I really want to TAS this game! NG+ would be the most interesting: You could climb walls by getting first person mode and spamming key attack :P and with NG+ you could even finish it without getting clank!

erm.... Link to video I even could not say if it is really "TASes" or not.. I guess the use of the R.Y.N.O. and the power boots makes the run faster, so, without it (when really beginning) we could expect something like 50 minutes, no?

feeuzz22, that's a very, very old run. Link to video But if we all notice it "NG+" which isn't allowed. Here's the actual non-NG+ run: http://www.twitch.tv/zorplox/v/15402512

The run of feeuzz uses no IMG skip, which is used in your run :P

Hey so I was just looking around this website for any TAS videos and I noticed that you posted a link to my any% run! Honestly TASing really interests me, and I would love to help in any way possible for the TAS of this game. Ill check back here periodically if you reply :).

Nice to see you there! A TAS of R&C2 could look awesome indeed. But we can't TAS PS2 for the moment, we'd need to wait some times ^^

are we just waiting for new software to be able to play ps2 games or something? and if so do you have any idea when it might be available?

It'll be a long while before PS2 TASing gets to the point where it's acceptable by the site. There's a PCSX2-rr floating around out there, but it's several years out of date and apparently a huge pain to use... Not to mention it's not accepted here as of yet. But of course, that's not going to stop us from preparing for the day when weeks upon months of effort churn out a proper, site-acceptable PCSX2-rr for us to get our greedy little mitts on. Feel free to post all the information you have about the game in this thread, as it'll be put to good use someday!

The category that would be the coolest to TAS would probably be NG+ no IMG. However even an any% run would be fairly cool to see in TAS form. To be honest im not sure what exactly you are looking for in terms of information, as I have never exactly taken part in a TAS. However if you have any more specific questions I would be happy to answer them right here, right now. However if it is a bit silly to ask me these questions without the emulator being ready then whenever the technology is acceptable to TAS on feel free to drop me a line. Everything you know works. Routes, glitch explanations, run tutorials... Treat it like you're teaching a new RTA runner about the run. Anything TAS-specific would have to be found when the TAS itself is being created, but before that it's easily possible for people to test and craft a route just by pooling together everything the RTA community has found. Some of the most useful information for us would be really inconsistent timesavers, "useless" glitches (that we could probably turn into something useful), weird unexplainable oddities... I mean, like I said, literally everything you know is helpful. It's not silly or anything to discuss the run before the emulators come about, especially considering that it may still be years off. We've had discussion threads running for very long periods of time without having the tools/stability available, and great things always come out of those threads.

What is IMG referring to?
Ryzen 3700X, ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) Motherboard, 32GB 3600MHz RAM, MSI Geforce 1070Ti 8GB, Windows 10 Pro x64 http://tasvideos.org/Nach/FranpaAlert.html

Insomniac Museum Glitch, basically you use the shortcut to the museum (via the pause menu) on the first planet, and when you come back you are on Boldan, so there are only 7 planets left to complete the game

The IMG glitch also lets you beat the game in 11-15 mins. I almost got 15 mins on my unofficial trial run. Also hi Lapogne :) It's been a while.

Hi, it's been a while ^^ I wonder why everyone seems to prefer the NG+ over the any% though :(

Honestly, I think any% would be greater to see :)

I'd watch an any% run. I'd also watch a NG+ if it leads into a 100% run.

Hey Lapogne, at about 52:00 in your 100% run, you died just as you killed the Thief. What are the chances of that happening? I was surprised when I saw that the first time.

Since all the enemies die when you kill the thief, only the bullets already shot can hit you, so the chances of this happening unintentionally are quite low

Hey Lapogne nice to meet you. Personally I agree with any% being quite awesome, I just think you could do crazy TAS strats in no img or something. Stuff that just isnt possible normally and would look crazy. Thats what interests me about NG+

I think you posted 4 times, but I agree with you! NG+ has some crazy strats with the hoverboots, you can boost, strafe jump and keep your momentum (dunno if you can infinite momentum tas wise) and it'll be more destructive with Ryno Kappa

I ran PCSX2-RR three months ago to try out Ratchet 2. Unfortunately, this is the farthest I could go: just this screen, and nothing after. JUST. THIS. SCREEN.

ayy, I should test it one day, but yea anyway that would be kinda pointless as the graphics are messed up in hardware mode (even in latest pcsx2) and desync friendly, no tas input and ram watch
