Vegas Dream, also known as Viva! Las Vegas is a casino video game. The goal is to earn ten million dollars in order to get the best ending.
Game objectives
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Heavy luck manipulation
  • Genre: Sport
Comments
Fair enough. Forget the whole high or low thingy. One gambling game turns out to be superior; Keno. Getting eight out of eight numbers is enough to earn ten million dollars, the bet needs to be at least 556 dollars.
The RNG is kinda problematic in this game. Delaying the input affects the RNG and the input itself (poorly though) affects the RNG. However I figured out 2 pretty interesting things:
  • It is possible to affect the RNG while the game announces the winning numbers
  • Holding directional buttons extends the RNG output sequence, although it's still kinda limited
Keno, a gambling game that is pretty much impossible to win under normal circumstances, seems to offer the fastest solution needed to beat the game.

This submission is mostly the same thing: http://tasvideos.org/4018S.html Still, the RNG is strong with this run.

I've taken the liberty of uploading a temp encode, as no one else has done this yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwL0w_Ww8E8 Other than that, this looks like a run for the vault, since the RNG manipulation is clearly extraordinary play but there's not much entertainment. Still, it's a Yes vote, I suppose.

Great job! After Knee's Blackjack submission, I looked at Keno, since it probably has higher payouts than roulette, but the RNG for that is so insane that it changes every frame and is affected by input, making my couple of hours investigating practically impossible to be worthwhile. This minigame seems a lot faster than any of the standard games, and the luck manipulation is obvious. Easy "yes" vote.

Oh, shit, seriously? Keno just wins you the game if you are a god at guessing? Wow. I'm going to watch this and then edit my comment to reflect how in-awe I am. Edit: The submission file is still the high/low file. You probably want to re-cancel this and submit a brand new file, since updating the file is supposed to be for fixing tiny errors, not changing the entire route of the game. :) Really looking forward to that Keno win though.

If the new run is significantly changed compared to the old one, then please make a new submission.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.
