I started making my TAS, but I kinda messed up on a part. It seems whenever I try to play the movie back, it plays up until when I stopped recording, then lets me control my guy as if i'm playing the game again. My question is how do you overwrite a recording a specific part that I need to overwrite and redo? I need to re-record, and like "save my progress" so to speak, otherwise I guess I have to manually edit out the mistake in the final video upon release?

Um... Enable Read+Write mode while playing back the recording, pause before the mistake, save state then load state, I guess? How are you TASing, exactly?

What I do, and find incredibly useful, is I make a savestate at the end of my movie so when I do edit a part, if I am unhappy with the result I just reload my original movie. But be wary, this isn't fool proof. Perhaps you lose that state, save over it, etc. I always keep 3 versions of my bk2 file. One in my bizhawk, one in my documents, one on my desktop.
I didn't kill donkey, I saved it. Current projects: Misc Donkey hacks :) Past projects: Pacifist DKC1 DKC1 Entrance randomizer DKC2 Entrance randomizer DKDC (a troll hack of DKC1) DKC1 Enemy randomizer (among other things)

...or you could save your progress with git, for example with a tool like SourceTree.
