Clock Tower is a survival/horror point and click game in which protagonist and orphan Jennifer Simpson attempts to uncover the secrets of the Barrows mansion where she and her fellow orphans have been trapped.
This run seeks to achieve the best ending, in which both Jennifer and one of her friends survive, in the fastest time possible.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: Bizhawk 1.11.9
  • Achieves best ending
  • Heavy glitch abuse

Tricks/Glitches

Quick Turn/Recover

Whenever Jennifer has to change directions, it is quicker to change her direction, cancel her movement, and then start running again. Similarly, when her movement gets interrupted (most often during Hole Skip and Dog Skip), it is quicker to cancel her movement and start running again to get out of her recovery animation faster.

Action Glitch

It's possible to move through Scissorman if you select an object on the screen. This is used during the screen where he is first encountered by selecting the stairs, and then cancelling out of them

Text Skip

Dialogue can be skipped by opening your inventory and selecting different items. This is used to speed up several cutscenes.

Hole Skip

There is a hole on the second floor of the mansion that Jennifer can run through by performing either the Action Glitch (the first time) or the Text Skip (the second time)

Fast Doll

By running to the left past the doll and then turning around, it is possible to get the doll to charge into the wall, allowing Jennifer to escape earlier.

Dog Skip

details coming soon... basically a more complicated version of Hole Skip

Stage-by-stage comments:

Fog: Judging.
Fog: This was a good run, but not something I personally found particularly entertaining. However, the general feedback given from the audience reception disagrees with me here. In this case, I'll side with the audience reception.

You know I'll just claim this for publication again. I still have my scripts for this game. I'll vote later. I skimmed over it earlier. It'll most likely be yes, since it's the full game being played unlike my vote on the other. Yes Vote.
