Hello! I record a lot of movies with Bizhawk and occasionally I run into a weird glitch. Sometimes when I go to play a movie it doesn't start from the beginning, rather it starts from partially into the game. Oddly, rebooting the core also makes the game start from this location. And starting a new recording (from power-on) also starts from this location. Even when I close the emulator and reopen it, the game boots from this point instead of the from the beginning. If I soft or hard reset it starts from the beginning of the game like normal but upon loading the movie, starting a new movie, or rebooting the core, it goes back to the strange starting point. I notice it is starting at a point where I made a savestate. Has anyone run into this?

Most likely you accidentally started it from a savestate, in which case there isn't much that can be done about it. bk2 movies are just normal compressed files that can be opened with something like 7zip or whatever utility you like. Open it up and look in the header file, if it says something like 'starts from savestate' then that's why. Whenever you record a movie, make sure you select 'power on' and not 'now' if you don't want this to occur. You would need to add more specific details and exact reproduction steps for us to be able to look into this further, I've never heard of this problem before.

Figured it out! I accidentally ticked Autoload Last Slot and didn't realize it. My mistake! Problem solved!
