Endurance is the hardest mode where you beat all enemies with 1 healthbar and Kreate a fighter is the strongest character in the game, i used the verification movie to create this TAS.
  • Config - GameCube - Device Settings: pick Memory Card in slots A and B
  • Controllers - Wii Remote 1 - Configure - General and Options tab - Extension: pick Classic Controller
if you can manipulate all enemies to walk forward it might be improvable, a lot of combos and string were tested but the tornado special move that removes scaling from combos is the fastest theoretical way of killing enemies as traps consume a lot of time in Endurance mode. The strings are also the most damaging single hit moves in one sequence. I used to speedrun this game and now learned how to make wii savefile for TAS.

feos: Claiming for judging.
feos: From discussion with the author on discord I have an idea of what's going on in this goal.
Kreate-a-Fighter is strongest character in the game, but only if you have enough koins to upgrade it to that level, for which you need to play the game first to collect those koins. Other characters won't benefit from koins or prior completion, and KAF won't make sense to use without upgrading it in advance. So KAF and save anchor only make sense together.
On the other hand, we can't treat upgraded KAF exactly like every default character in terms of categories, because save anchor makes the movie a different category by the current rules.
The tricky part is whether to put NewGame+ into the branch label. Without upgrades, KAF would not be able to compete with other chars, so it would not be optimal by default. And we don't currently allow multiple branches, one per char, in Standard, so the char picked would have to be optimal to belong to a fresh save goal. So there would not be a KOF goal without save file, but we agreed to highlight NG+ always to make the difference apparent. However since in this case there would be no difference in what is published, I think we can drop NG+ from the branch as something that's implied by the KAF goal.
Still this would be a standard goal since there's nothing inherently arbitrary here: the char is made to be the strongest, to beat the Endurance mode the fastest.
The run itself is fine, and the verification works fine with the now-provided sync notes. Accepting.

TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

What is the verification movie needed for?

to create the character used in the TAS, it's a custom char

The menu is available from the start, why did you need to lose Endurance as Scorpion and then beat it as Frost?

Is this TAS aiming for ingame time?
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

no, the animations for death traps and loading are huge, it would become a death trap fest if i went with ingame time

Please describe how many you needed in the end and why, and how they are obtained in the game.

tornado wind, a projectile that creates a small juggle state, costs 1500, it causes unscaled damage afterwards, 1500 for dashing evade the best repositioning tool for when you get to the corner, i considered one that has more lag and switch enemy and player position but it cost too much time and didn't feel like it was needed relevant strings bought: 2hand knee strike 1st hit free cost bone breaker 2nd hit 150 ninja strikes 3rd 150 chained up 3rd it's free cost - alternate hit wouldnt allow for extension but damages more so it's a good finisher cold feet 300 went unused, setup for freegrabs actually tiny uppercut 1000 went unused, high damage low attack for no reason, it could be an option against the final boss which we don't infinite combo anime hair- cosmetic for 1500 final purchase the chainedup as finisher was a personal discovery but the optimized string actually came from a furry expert in 3d mk which i have referenced many times in forum threads, known as mkda scholar or eleventy two, i used to have a weaker string for the inifinite and with the new string and my personal finisher i managed to get 3 reps only to kill after tornado unscaled EXAMPLE OF OLD VERSION, before the current combo routes: Link to video Link to video

You only described the "why". Also would pre-completion and koins help with any other fighter that's available from the start?

there are other unlockable chars but that is done through konquest mode and needs no koins, the koins are exclusively used to purchase cosmetics OR moves for KAF (custom chars)

it is not traditional for unlockable characters to be considered a separate branch of runs, i say this because most fighting games that have unlockable characters make no distinction for runs with them as the game is considered incomplete without them, smash melee has many characters to be unlocked and i doubt a Classic mode run with Jigglypuff or GameWatch would be considered a separate branch, it's just a normal record whether it needs a savefile before or not for the fighting game community
