Ok, here we go. Most of you have probably heard of the Speed Demos Archive, which hosts Quake (1) speedruns. They ran, and so still do I think, contests every little now and then, sometimes on maps created for speedrunning. I once made a map for such a contest, I created a map which is a recreation of world 1-1 in Super Mario Bros (1). Anyway, the guy who won the contest filmed his run, and now, like 2 years later, I've turned it into this beautiful movie: The map itself can be downloaded here too. Since it feature long distances it could look buggy, and you'll notice that the map is divided into 2 parts, connected with a teleporter, cause it's so long that it doesn't fit on the map otherwise. Ran and filmed by Jozsef Szalontai Map by me Now the funny part? I made some checks and it seems like the time differs only 8 frames from Michael Fried's run of 1-1 in his version2 run. Also, note that the timer in Quake is a bit screwed up, it "steals" 1.4 seconds from you even before you start. I think this is a forever standing bug in Quake. Enjoy

The Quake run is 8 frames faster then your. Also, I compared it to your version 3 run, not version 2, sorry, my bad. It's pretty funny that the time is so close, since the Quake run doesn't use the pipe route, and it compensates with some quaded rocket jumps and gets 8 frames difference from your run.
