It has been almost two months since the last post in this thread. So I am guessing that Sami hasn't had time to work on the TAS more yet. :3 But I am guessing it will be spectacular when finished. ;3

So far it's looked that way and hopefully it will continue to be that way. This is one of my favorite on-going tas's so I can't wait till its done. Worth the wait.

Yay! Sami is back in the saddle! ^.^ I can hardly wait. Maybe this TAS will be done by the end of the year, or early next year. ^.^ I think i am going to watch the 100% SDA Speed Run a few times through just to break the wait down. xD Good luck!

I was doing some testing on the double-jiggy pickup on Mumbo's Moutain when I came across something unexpected: a damage boost that extends a jump, making it possible to reach and briefly stand on Conga's head. I think this was caused by a thrown orange appearing embedded in my back. (I don't think this'll be usefull but you never know.)

Hah. I haven't advanced in the TAS in months. College doesn't give enough vacations, and it was really boring testing every frame at the mumbo mountain entrance for the perfect double-conga-jiggy angle. Though, up until there, it's pretty optimal. I think I saved about a second in the first lair area by cancelling out the witch speaking before I collect jiggy 1 so that it can speak earlier. Sorry about the lack of progress.

I'm not sure exactly where you're referring to, but I'm guessing it's the result of entering the water while also entering/exiting talon trot. Banjo is not supposed to be moving during this animation and when he enters the water the game doesn't make him start swimming until the animation ends, meaning that gravity has its normal effect in the meantime..

And when you are close to the water surface, release C and Z button. If you don't do that, glitch wont work :E

I discovered the original version of the diving glitch playing on a console. It's quite doable with a minimum of practice. You cannot do this if you jump into the water, and it has the property of halting horizontal movement. So it's slower if you need to cover more horizontal than vertical distance.

You know, maybe I should hunt for the speed address Sami, maybe it'd be helpful for you for the rest of the TAS; also because I still look funnily at the Talon Trot and jumping all the time, as it doesn't seem proven as faster than normal running in my mind. Oh, and I eagerly await that WIP. Edit: 00C67F72 short and 00C67F70 long seem to show Banjo's speed, but they're not as variable as I want it to be. I'll keep looking.
