Uuh, I'm not good at writing these but here's something.
Over one and a half minute improvement to Torn's published run. Most improvment came from taking damage and some tricks I used.
Intro:Saved 8 seconds due pressing B.
Yellow Planet: Took some damage and did some minor optimizations. In the wagon part I jumped straight from the first wagon to the third wagon, this saved a lot of time.
Green Planet: Just some damage taking and optimizations here, nothing big.
Blue Planet: Same as Green.
Red Planet: Same as Blue and Green.
I was faster in every boss at the planets.
Toadship: Did some major optimizations and every miniboss was faster,
Escape: Tried to make this as entertaining as possible. Also, I did bosses faster.
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Some minor glitches used
  • No warps or passwords
  • Emulator used: FCEU 0.98.13 nitsuja
I'd like to thank Torn for his movie, it really helped me. And Hanzou for some technical help.
Hope you like the run :)

Overall it was fun to watch. I don't know this game at all - a couple parts looked improvable in very minor ways (mostly in where hits were taken), but I don't know if they actually are. As such, it is still a substantial improvement over a published famtasia movie. Yes!

I have nothing against you but I know it is more improvable. Seconds here and there lost. I know the previous movie wasn't so good and this one is still better but I know it is likely to be improved by at least another 2 minutes. Voting no.

Can you give me some examples? I might redo this run in the future (not too soon though).

I thought like Phil. It looks good and it's a big improvement, but I too think it's possible to improve it very much further. I should vote yes because of the improvement but I think I vote yes for Torn to redo his run instead.

That's up to you two. I still vote for Torn to redo his run. Edit:

Possibly on various minor optimizations. Or some shortcut that I'm not aware of.

Why not make a competition for this game when SMB2 is over. ;) The best and fastest movie will win. Only when the second one is much more entertainment. :-)
