No, but you might want to look at the most western edge of the forest.. using your yoga powers *hinthint* Doing the lab before getting the last ball seems impossible to me though. Well, I guess I'm gonna suggest the idea to the author if nobody has done it yet.. need to check the forums. Using fraps works, but he probably doesn't want to host several gigs of speedrun movies. EDIT: Alright, Bablo was faster :(

About adding replay option to speedruns? I already asked him, and he's not going to do it... at least yet. Since it would be big work. Or something. EDIT: This is how he answered.

aren't video games random generators semi-predictable, as the faq here explains it ?

They are pseudo-random but completely deterministic, which basically means hard to predict in most cases, but the same input will always produce the same output. He probably should have been more accurate and said he needed to make the RNG "deterministic" instead of "predictable."

This game crashes IMMEDIATELY for me. As soon as I start the program, I get an error window and have to close WaDF. Can anyone take a guess at what is causing this?

This game is SO good. I ran through the speedrun mode thing, and got 1:07:32.86. That's a pretty crappy time, seeing as the record is just over 20 minutes...

Well I just finished the game on normal mode, how is hard mode? Also I thought the secret levels would unlock but they didn't. Thanks for the help guys this game was awesome. I hope to try speed run and stuff tomorrow. Ah I read how to unlock them I feel dumb now (didn't read the numbers, but that they were significant, and I remember seeing them in the two places and thinking wtf are these for)
g,o,p,i=1e4,a[10001];main(x){for(;p?g=g/x*p+a[p]*i+2*!o: 53^(printf("%.4d",o+g/i),p=i,o=g%i);a[p--]=g%x)x=p*2-1;}

Hard mode has different physics. Ball #01 is pretty much same though, but #02 already is harder. Has anybody gotten any good times? I just got 0:46:22.50.

The game keeps crashing for me sometimes when I enter a cave, a 'level', or when I leave them. I have the first 7 balls at the moment, but I don't think I'll continue... since doing stuff over because the game crashes is too frustrating to me.

I'm sure alot of you have some sort of USB controller and would like to use it for the game. There is a program called joy to key that is great for linux, and someone make a windows version that is also great, here is that windows version
Thank you, now I don't have to use my mouse at all. :)

You already don't need mouse. You can select balls with numbers, and you can select "the ball I was before I died or suicided" with enter key.

Alright, did my first speedrun. Time of 1:19:17.64, as of this writing 51st place on the list. I didn't have practice with the hard mode physics before this, so I think it's not bad. I died a fair number of times in the crystal mines, but I also screwed up way too often during the 7 route of the last level.

It's kind of sad that none of the mini-puzzles in the last dungeon use ball 5 in any of the three solutions.

Hmm ball 5 would be nice to use for those. Too bad there are those super long falls down the pipes to spoil our fun. It is possible to survive if you hit a corner properly but that also takes away the fun. A challenge I just thought of: beat the entire game on hard without using the 'A' key. I'm sure this is possible but it will be very hard, I'll try it now (I don't post on their challenges topic because a rule is you have to actually do it first)

I was able to do something strange. In Shinock Reign I made the spider fall from the first to the 3rd floor without going through the 2nd!

Maybe you pushed blue and red buttons correctly in the first floor so the spider got to 3rd floor without you seeing it in second floor? Probably not.

What I'd like to know is this. On the highscore page, one of the guys says he skipped The Hover Thing (green ball) for his faster runs. How could that be possible?

You can enter the cheese place with glass ball somehow. I have yet to find out how.

I actually skipped getting the green ball in my first speed run, I figured out ahead of time how to get up there with the glass ball, once you have the method down its alot easier than you'd think. There is no point in me trying to explain it because you'll probably have an easier time figuring it out than wading through my poor explanation abilities.

I still have problems doing it. I only can do it by using the corner glitch.
