adelikat: Rejecting. This run has a lot of work to do. In addition, it may not be the best game choice. Definately read the Guidelines to get a better idea on making a run. Also, it is very important to post a part of your run in the forum. That way you get can get feedback from others on possible improvements. I wish the author good luck on future runs :)

I can't even find the ROM, as far as I can tell that game doesn't even exist. The ROM name and the game name that you chose don't even match. Did you check out the rules while you were submitting this? If I might suggest, did you use the name of the ROM you opened to play the game? I'm already tempted to vote no, since as far as I can tell this movie is completely unplayable. If I'm wrong I'm sorry, so I won't vote yet. I must admit though, only two hours to beat a 20 minute game in a speedrun? Well, I'll check it out if I can.

Try looking for "Mickey & Minnie - The Great Circus Mystery", an american version, just like the file name says, if this is a sequel to Magical quest, I don't know though. It looks like it though.

203054> <&Acmlm_> except there's no "Magical Quest 2" 203127> <&Acmlm_> but apparently it could be "Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie, The (U).smc" .... not that you want to watch it. (Entertainment 0, Technical 1) Slow, boring game. Bosses with unbelievably long invincibility. Lots of what appears to be unoptimized movement. Overall, this movie can be described in two words: "fast-forward." Voting no.

I'm voting no, since this doesn't play on hard mode, doesn't play in 2-player mode, doesn't take damage to save time, and is very suboptimal in several places (such as waiting many seconds during a boss fight while the boss is vulnerable).

Voting no for this reason:
i did this whole speed run under less than 2 hours.
Some comments: Assuming this uses the same engine as Mickey's Magical Quest (no reason to believe it doesn't) you can keep your speed if you run down a hill and keep jumping...(read comments in mickey's magical quest run for details) Your boss fights are painful to watch.

Thanks Acmlm for getting the game straight. I had never actually heard of this game. I'm going to have to vote no...did you even use slowdowns? I watched your input, and you seem to miss everything with menu's by about half a second. What you could do is try making the movie again and using the suggestions everyone makes. This site aims for perfection within games, not walkthroughs...good luck. :)

THis run gets a big fat no from me as well. I didn't even make it through the first three levels, almost fell asleep after the second. Nearly dozed off in the third. The Boss Fights are long and boring, and there is NO optimization as far as speed. This isn't a speed run, it's a snooze run.

It's a TAS (Tool-Assisted SNOOZE Run). Could be it accepted? =D

It rests on the conviction that you — by your choices, effort and actions — have made yourself into the kind of person able to deal with reality. It is the conviction — based on the evidence of your own volitional functioning — that you are fundamentally able to succeed in life and, therefore, are deserving of that success." - Onkar Ghate

It seems that you don't know what this site is about. Read this page before making more movies. Particularly:
Why And How wrote:
Perfection is not easy. Yes, using the tools makes playing easy ― but we're not just playing here. We're attempting to perfect the games to a godly level of precision, which involves handling the game as if it were The Matrix ― observing every slightest detail to gain control over it in ways that the makers never imagined. We're searching for perfection. To reach that goal, using the features provided by an emulator is irrelevant, as long as the "world" – the game – is unmodified. It's a massive undertaking to produce a good tool-assisted movie. Sure, anyone can undo when they make a mistake ― but who can spot the error that causes 0.1 seconds of delay in the movie? Who can spot and abuse bugs in games to do seemingly unearthly maneuvers?
