incredible toons is much slower with its laaaaazy cat, but also funnier (Remembered things like "lunch break whistle" or piano falling over cat~ or ball that says poing every time it bounces...)

I think the most recent "version" put out was Contraptions for PC... runs fine on WinXP. Mostly on-subject, anyone wanna try out a homemade I put together? If so, I'll post a link...

did you write your owm The Incredible Machine? o_o Incredible :D I had an idea of writing game based on completing Befunge code to do something given as objective. code would miss few symbols that you could place anywhere, pretty much like in TIM ^_^

No, I mean that I made my own puzzle using the game's built-in creator. Meaning I link the file, you download it and put it in Homemade folder, then you can load it in game.

OK. With DosBox it seems to work perfectly.

I think the only attraction with TAS'ing a TIM game would be the potential sequence-breaking that takes place. For example, in the original DOS version of TIM2, there's a Hard puzzle titled "Laser Coffee" whose goal is to "Get the coffee pot off the screen." Ordinarily, you're supposed to use the cannonball you're given to turn on a lightswitch that enables a variety of lasers to focus on the detector, powering a generator which hurls the pot offscreen via conveyor belt. The sequence-breaking solution is to simply drop the cannonball onto the right side of the coffee pot, knocking it off the left side of the conveyor belt, and conveniently off the bottom of the screen. :) It should be noted that later iterations of the same level in TIM3 and Contraptions include debris which blocks the left side of the coffee pot, preventing this easy solution. But there are many other levels which have similar sequence-breaking solutions... a TAS of a TIM game should exploit the game in this way whenever possible. :) Ultimately, though, I suspect there would be too many levels that -have- to be done the "right" way (especially in TIM1) and the only entertainment factor would be the speed at which the TAS author can manipulate the mouse. Just my two cents.

You could try a windows game called "armadillo run", but it's a commercial game (there's a demo with sample levels). It's very nice with physics, it'll get you addicted for a while. In theory, it's a tas game, since you just make the mazes and then you click "play" whenever you want, so just prepare it the way you want and then screen capture when you click play. Actually, there are several maps on the site that involve a lot of luck manipulation already built working, so you just click play and watch.
