This is an improved version of my TAS of Montezuma's Revenge All Items which is a few seconds faster due to better movement in the room with the torch and some slight rerouting.

This is a 100% TAS of Montezuma's Revenge for the Atari 2600. This run gets all the items in each of the three levels, and beats the game.

This is an improved version of my Montezuma's Revenge submission, which includes dying in the first room of each level to save time and jumping at the end of the last level to save a little time.

Another example of taking damage to save time on an Atari game.
It's not optimized in any way, but I think there's not much to do in this regard; those electric doors seems to have a frame rule or something.
In any case, this is a really nice platformer for the Atari 2600 and although there are versions for the Master System and Commodore 64 the Atari version does not disappoint.
