The Earth has been nearly destroyed by the genetic and biological weapons unleashed during World War 3. Radiation and strange viruses have combined to physically transform the human population into vile, disgusting mutants. Dr. Kildare's mission is to reclaim mankind's lost genetic heritage. He found six subjects for his experiment: three males and three females. Ex-Mutants wreaked havoc on Sluggo, lord to all mutants in the region. However, one of Sluggo's slave patrols, led by his evil scientist assistant Zygote, ambushed and kidnapped four Ex-Mutants. Also, dr. Kildare's power cells are nearly empty and he would cease to function unless more is found. Now it's up to Ackroyd and Shannon to rescue other Ex-Mutants and find power cells for Kildare.

I chose the male character because he has 8 health, female has 6. They are equally fast runners even the character info says otherwise.
Techniques:
-Most important is "damage overload". Both characters can do it with explosives and 3-way projectiles (knives/blades). This technique destroys any enemy in the game excluding the final boss.
-Damage jump. If you are still near the top of your jump and get damaged you can jump in air.
0:42 - I have to wait a few frames for my bombs to go past electric beam
1:00 - The following 8 seconds could be done faster but this was the only way the spinning blade at 1:08 didn't hit me.
1:20 - Battery has to be collected or the level can't be finished
1:55 - "Damage-jump" technique saves a lot of time during the run
2:06 - I had to wait one frame to manipulate the boss to appear on left platform
3:43 - If you're on the edge the moving platform doesn't come down
3:48 - Moving platform doesn't need player to stand on it to start moving, so I didn't jump on it late even if it may seem like it
4:20 - I fall through crumbling bridge because of dying enemy. This saved 37 frames
6:46 - I lure the bat to perform damage-jump. Saves about 7 seconds
6:55 - I wait one frame to manipulate pipe explosion further ahead. Saves 2 frames
9:19 - Fat mutant would deal 3 damage to me but I was just damaged second time from bullets
9:52 - I was 1-2 frame short of jumping over the flamethrower-mutant unharmed :(
SLUGGO - 00FF1BB3
Every hit manipulates the planes dropping bombs so it's hard to optimize whole fight. Sluggo sweeps his tail when he has taken enough damage. When he does this you can do the high jump near Sluggo swinging axe and not take damage. This is the reason why some of my swings seem to do no damage.

Ho hum. Another generic action platformer, and the presence of autoscrolling levels did not help improve my level of interest. I'm curious as to how you manage to kill the first two bosses so quickly, but that's enough to pull my vote above a definitive Meh.

A generic looking game, but the movie was decently entertaining. I'll encode this in HD and vote Yes, though, a bit weak. Makes me wish there was more than just 3 options to choose from, heh.

Damage boosts and boss fights were good. Autoscrollers were boring. Everything else was more or less average stuff. Voting yes.

I like the second screenshot you took, Aqfaq. The autoscrollers in this game were pretty simple; I'm not sure there were better ways to make them interesting. However, the action moved at a pretty good pace, the side weapons were nice, and it was cool to see the first few bosses die so fast. This adds up to a mild Yes vote. Also, I like that one of the credits is for "Additional Fluff".
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) I always encourage multiple encodes; it helps publishers ensure they can get the best quality video file to publish.

Good work with the encode. I am glad you got the aspect ratio setting right this time. Personally I think the encode is publishable, but as always that is up to the publishers. (And, of course, the run would need to be accepted for this to be published!)

Highly entertaining. And what a balance on that 1-wheeled rail-platform. The voice of the main character was ... I can't describe it, but the way he says "oh yeah" (or "booyeh"?) alone makes this publish worthy in my book. Yes vote.

Pretty borderline, but the ability to throw projectiles in order to hit enemies considerably further on in the level (a lá SMB3) was cool and pushes this into Yesvoteland.

Congrats on the acceptance maTO! What will you work on next? If I may make a suggestion, there are known improvements to Neofix's run of Strider for the Genesis. Also, that game should provide good opportunities for health management.
